Donna C, that's a beautiful wreath! What a great idea, putting on a slide show to remind your family how lucky you all have been. Hope the remodelling job will be finished before Santa comes visiting.
Great eBay tips there Brenda. I don't have a program to snipe and having dial up prevents me to bid last minute. So I always bid what I want to pay for, and add those pennies!
Brenda, great photography btw! Check out her site, sistahs!!
OMG!!!!! Now you've done make our niece's head swell more Phyllis!! That is one gorgeous piece!! I bet you can sell that for beaucoup $$$!!! Yep, Stacey's wings will be flitting 24hrs. waiting on that masterpiece! I know I've asked this before.. but what is it that you CANNOT do, Phyllis?
Post pix of your woodland Santa Debra. You know how we are a bunch of nosey sistahs when it comes to crafts :D Well, if you can come up with a "Bourbon Street" sign, that will be perfect!! Kidding!! Please, don't tell your DD that!!
Now that's funny.. forgot about your hubby's wreaths!! I can see him making appointments ahead of time if he need to spend some time with you!! Lolol!
I bookmark the site Tina-Tia. Somehow she disengage the quilting link, but that quilting arc ruler caught my eye. Thanks Tina.
Poor Don. Yep. men are bigger babies when they're ill. So, BJ, hope he gets better real fast.. for your sake! Already got Sis pulling her hair out.. don't want you to go bald!
Kim, welcome back!! So your vacation starts and there you are baking and asking about rolled oats!! When I first got here, I thought truly, that's what I was supposed to do with the oats. And I did rolled the oats then too!! Ex was overseas, no neighbours, no friends to call.. well I had a good laugh after I realised it's just what cut oats were called too!!
Congrats on the sewing machine, Kim. You'll do fine..
Aww, (((((((((Susan)))))))))) No fun and game when taking care of Alzheimer patients. Unwind here anytime, believe me, it feels so much better when you let it all out. Don't hide your head.. please.. be proud that you're taking on a task that many will just walk away from. You must also set aside time for yourself.. or have someone come in to relieve you.
Sis, we've been missing you!! Call me before you decide to use that gun on Mike!!
I'm not sending out my swaps till after Christmas! I know one of my swap "sistahs" is not the patient kind:D Lord help her!!!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Yippeee, another crafter is among us. Kim, those draft things will be easy to make, just sew a straight seam, wide enough for your insulators to slide down into. Then space it out, for a second on the other side. Probably 3 inches should be enough between the sleeves, unless you have a really wide doot?
Let us know how it goes, then we can find more sewing projects for you!!!

LOL

LK

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Hey All,
I am no saint trust me and now feel like crap as the family called and told us her sister is in the hospital with low blood sugar then we get another call telling us she had a heart attach... Nothing they can do as she only is 83 pounds and to frail for anything.... Shoot when it rains it pours.... I asked Mary if she wanted to fly up and she said no she does not want if her twin is going to see her like that...
Paid my bills cleaned up the kitchen and the living room now have to vacume it all... Kim, it was after Christmas last year I ran to your house remember...LOL This time I will have to remember to bring my own socks...LOLOL Hey you lent me a pair and I still wear them and they are my special socks... If I am gloomy I wear them out... If work is going to kill me I wear them there and also sometimes they bring me good luck.... All around socks....LOLOL Shoot I am not coming to your house to clean as you can come to mine and help.... When I come to your house is to rest and spend time with my bud... Psssst and watch her sleep.... don't tell Kim I said that...LOLOLOL Have pictures to prove it...
Ok going to download my xmas tree and will post it later....
See you in a few.
Hugs,
Susan

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

She is selling it for beaucoup bucks tante Jaye!!LOL

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

DANG, CUZ !!!.... you've lost how much weight? Sheesh... you're gonna blow away....
I can relate to how Mike is driving you nuts... Don does that after just a couple days underfoot... you've had him home much longer... poor cuz...

I can also relate your dilemma Susan... I tried to take care of my g'ma when she had Alzheimer... I had 3 sons at home too. It's tough, at best. God bless you.

Well, I convinced Don not to get out there in the cold wind to put up the Christmas lights and decorations. He just feels too bad to do that. Plus, he took TWO Sudafeds without reading the directions... he was only suppose to take one, and now he feels loopy. He went to bed and is watching tv now.
Guess what I'm doing today? Don wanted Thanksgiving dinner again today... LOL... who knew? He's not usually into eating all the left overs, and he's gone so much I sent all the left overs home with the boys Thursday. I did keep some of the turkey for sandwiches, so I'm now making a brand new batch of dressing from scratch with the broth I saved from the bottom of the roaster. So, here I go again... another all day spent in the kitchen... but, ya know... he rarely asks for anything special for dinner... so, I don't mind.

Gotta go and bake something. See ya.

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

I can't keep up!!!!!!!!!
BJ, tell Don that Bill says Honey, Lemon and a good shot of scotch are great for colds...Take your glass out, set out ingredients.....pour a good portion of Scotch in glass.........return lemon and Honey to their proper place.....enjoy the glass of Scotch!!! Says it works, wonders!

Phyllis, Love the Stained glass!!!!! Something else I have always wanted to do!!!! But will have to leave that to you to do for me, can't afford anymore hobbies!!!

Susan I know how hard it can be for you.........we went through it with the husband of my mom's best friend and it isn't fun.....my mothers eldest brother and sister also had alzheimers (sp). Mum worries constantly that she will get it.........I tell her to quit worrying about it, that she won't remember, and we will take care of it......i don't think she has too much to worry about...at 80 her memory is much better than mine......I may need to worry!!

Deborah, check in when you can, you and Lisa are in our prayers, as are AnnMarie and her family.

Kim, dates are a good thing.....either kind:)

My Niece, her DH, 2 small boys and her BIL (they are from Juneau) are all at mom's so we will be keeping busy...my nephew and their Grandmother from Portland, and my nephew from Tacoma will be here tomorrow..........a full house to say the least....and my kids will stop over to visit their cousins of course.....TUESDAY WILL COME!!!

Have stuff that has to get shipped today.....at least I think I can send my DB and SIL's Gift on the plane with my niece......save shipping, which is not cheap to Alaska!!.....almost as bad as France!

I know I have missed a lot, sorry......waving to all....will try to catch up later......and yes we do want pictures of everything from everyone!!!

My tiny bit of sunshine on a gloomy day!

Gosh I am glad I am not the only one who can't keep up ....LOLOL Just got off the phone with Ms. Dimmer and she cheered me up and laughed about my mens slippers...LOLOL Still can't find my other ones so mens slippers it is...LOLOL
Here is a picture of our Xmas tree with nothing on it except the sets of lights it comes with ... We add more lights with color but that part has not happened yet... we have one set on the tree that never has lit up...LOL I do like the tree... We have had fresh ones for years after my mom passed but they kill my lungs so last year we got this one... works for me....
Hugs,
Susan

Ferndale, AR(Zone 7b)

Ah, yeah, BJ - save it for after dinner.

I'll hold it for you ......................................

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Nah nah nah nah nah.. I saw it first.. and it's yummmmmmmmyyy!!

( Kim) Zion, IL(Zone 5a)

I have to tell you it was so easy to make once I new you didn't have to roll your oat I like to roll mine thou

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Ok, I lost that piece to Jaye... so I'll just scrounge around Kim's kitchen to find where she hid it... I'll find me another piece.

Mmmmm... dinner was soooo good... I think today's cornbread dressing was better than what I made Thangsgiving...

I think Don's double dose of Sudafed is wearing off now... he's just grumpy now, not so pitifully whiney.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Kim,those look so good, pass the plate please? Glad to see you back online.

Bj, another Thanksgiving dinner. I think Don is a spoiled hubby for sure! And I don't blame you. Tell him I said hello, and make it a double on the scotch!!!

Marion and jaye, I got your packages today, and wanted to say thank you soooooo much for the mates to my previous socks, and other goodies you sent.

First is Jayes box.

First of all she sent the other belly dancing sock, with the coins on top, then she sent a pair of knee hi socks, and a pair of ankle socks, with the prettiest Christmas prints on them. And look at the pom poms!
Don't go to far, there is more to come from Jaye...

And if the socks weren't enough she sent about 2 yards of fabric to go with the leaf runner I am working on, and it is going to go very well, with all the fall colors, it is so nice, and I love it.

But there is more....
