Enjoy now Victor. Those teen years will come fast and furious but I am here to testify you can get through to the other side.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Thanks, all. That's reassuring, Pat! Not looking forward those years.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

I was wondering what those 2 lights next to the moon were last night...it was really noticable here. It's getting cloudy right now so unless it clears up won't be seeing them tonight.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

I thought the calendar price was a little steep also, considering I usually get them free from my pharmacy.

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

I know nothing but try googling 'firebox relining' or 'firebox replacement'. Also there are lots of companies that do chimney relining that might be able to point you in the right direction. Hope this helps.

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

TADA! Victor to the rescue.

Nope Victor tried. EVOCON COLEMAN was sold/bought by another company and sold and bought again and again. Here is the model number 9736D800

I have called every place in town and they just plum dont know what to say. All though one is working on it. He just called back and said he has 3 numbers to call. 1 place is working on it and he might here back tomorrow. He said its old WHAT it is only 13 years old how old can that be!

I have Googled everything!

Happiest of tenth birthdays to son of Victor. They do grow so fast. My boys were "just" born as well. LOL Youngest is now 28 and oldest just turned 34.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Thanks, Jan. Celeste - it just doesn't seem possible you can have a ten year-old granddaughter!

Victor Menopause????

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Thank you Victor!! You made my day!!!!!! ^_^

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

chicken - i had the same problem with the fire place in my home. what i did was look at the right front of the fireplace and on the metal was the name of the company. (i had previously spray painted over it so i had to use paint thinner to get at it) I found a local distributor who had the back place in stock as a left over. they said they now only sold all three sides.
there are brackets inside the chimmey on the top that hold the cement panels in plase, unscrew to get them out and then replace them the same way.

i also had a freind of mine who works at a metal shop get me a thick (1/4) piece of scrap metal and placed that behind the grate so it would not crack through the cement like insert. it turned back pretty fast and you do not even know it is there.

Happy B-day to your December born son, Victor---we Dec. people are pretty special! The only thing I hated was my Mom handing me a present from under the tree & saying "Happy Birthday". I always make sure I wrap my friend's 12/23 birthday present with paper that's not Christmasy--if that's a word! The airedale's heart test came out OK today---now the vet has found a problem with albumin---thinks it's all related to his Lyme infection!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Thanks, Robin. I know the feeling. My b'day is Jan 1st and everyone was broke! Good luck with the pooch! Glad the heart tests were okay. That lyme is nasty.

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

Same here Mine is Jan. 9

DH bday is Dec 30th, it's hard enough to come up with a Christmas gift, then turn around again for his bday. The best gift was for his 50th, I took him to the Michigan speedway to drive a formula 3 car.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

That's cool. My friend got that from his wife for his 40th. My wife took me to the bumper cars.

heehee

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

I have four girls .
Ages 55
53
30
and 49 Dec9
Yes it was h*** at times.
They're great women now.

South Hamilton, MA

My main problem with the girls was that they wouldn't talk to me; would talk to DH, Mom was off limits for conversation. Now they help with the computer, unfortunatly from a distance, MN & WA.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Your a survivor!! It was heck at times here to but it was well worth it.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

My DG had stopped talking to DD.
It's been a couple of years now but she is comming back now thwt she's a HS senior.
I think she needs her mother now because it will be the big world next year.
Its a tight rope for DD to be available yet let DG make her own decissions.

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

I found I could always talk to my dad easier than my mom when I was growing up, but now I'm very close to mom.
The same thing happened with my sons. They talked to me more than their dad.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Oddly enough, I never experienced that as a teen. I always talked to both my parents. And not just grunts.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

girls turn into devil's they day they turn 13. up until then they are angles - when they hit the early 20's they become human again. My 26 year old just came around within the last 2 years. the 24 and 22 year old are not there yet.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

That must be a LONG 12 or so years!

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

being a divorced dad did not help - my oldest did not speak to me for a 5 year stretch and smaller 1 and 2 yr stretches - now calls me for advice on pretty much everything daily. just need to be patient.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

I raised daughters alone too Bill.My "book end girls" are free spirits.
Translation, dont be responsable about money and use poor judjment where men are concerned. Had to write them off but still love them.
Middle two are stable sensable and responsable.

Hannibal, NY(Zone 6a)

You had a baby when your oldest was 25, JoAnn? That's quite an age difference. I bet that was interesting.

I only have the one child, she is 39 now. So she had no one to fight with. And I was 19, so we grew up together. And somehow, I'm still married to her father.

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

I had two sons only, although you might have thought that I had 8 or 9 if you came to my house when they were growing up. Boys seem to travel more in "herds" I think instead of one or two BFF like girls have. My house was the yard they all came to and most still do for cook outs, they are my boys. Most all of them are married now with families of their own. My two sons are also and each have a boy and a girl so I finally get to buy frilly pink things on occasion. I always told them just wait, revenge is sweet when you have kids of your own. I did have a little smile on my face when the older son lamented that he had already had to use the old "Because I said so" line after he swore he would never say that to his kids. Hehehe. It goes by faster than you think so enjoy the family times as much as you can. They do turn back into people eventually, even if there are some days that it seems the teens will never end. :)
