BJ ((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((hugs and prayers))))))))))))))))))))))))...Do get in touch with your doctor and tell them you need something done NOW!!
Jaye and Marion, stay warm and cozy....
Waving to all~~~~~~~
BJ, I know everyone else has said it but I also want to add my thoughts. Yes, you do need to call the doctor tomorrow. We all need you healthy and this certainly isn't it!!! I so wish I was closer to help you some but alas that isn't so. Take it as easy as you can.
Jaye, that goes for you also. We need both of you up and in good health!!! Coffee pot soup? Sounds like something a man would do. Yeap, I be proud of Kel for looking after you!!!!! Stay cozy and get well really soon.
Oh my tomorrow is the day!!! We find out what our new adopted grandbaby will be--right Grandma Deborah? Wahoo, can hardly wait.
Phyllis will be good to have you back home and with us.
Linda Kay how is the foot tonight? Are the pain pills still giving you a problem? This is just not the time of year for all my sistahs to be sick!!!!!
Cindy, you just took the title of "Most Enabler" away from me. My son orders patterns from companies like that then askes me to make them. Uurrgh!!! They are not the easiest of patterns to follow at time!! Just have to remember to take your time and don't second guess the directions!! Yes, voice of experience. Donna might give the site a try for a pattern. I can't remember the other place he orders from but when I do I will post it for you. I do believe, I could be wrong, but the type suede you are looking for will actually be a tanned hide. Suedes you get at the fabric store I don't think would hold up all that well. Then again who knows.
After 10 days in ICU my aunt Lisa has been put in a private room provided a family member stays with her 24/7. I visited today with her and she recognized me. She doesn't like the restraints but she's too weak to get out of bed. I fed her applesauce and mashed potatoes and iced tea. She even asked for some cold milk which we made a bee line to the nurses station to get her some. I'll be spending the night with her tomorrow night. If y'all don't see much of me for the next few days, just know I'm cleaning my house for company and staying at the hopsital on my family shift schedule. I read a nice quote said by the Late James Dean today. He says to "Dream like you'll live forever. Live as if you'll die tomorrow" Please continue to pray for my Aunt Lisa. God bless you all my sistahs.
Hmm Im so glad I asked because I probably would have wasted the money trying to use normal suede.. Show you what I know.. There is a leather shop down the road (or used to be not sure anymore) I will stop in and ask him. He was a really nice guy and kept his amazon parrot in the sho pwith him at all times.. He even had a perch on his bike for the bird. ANyway he gave me scraps for making bird toys and I always gave him a few for rambo to chew on instead of me.. He does belts and repair work but I have never seen anything like what I was looking for, just a really nice guy with a small shop.
Think I agree thats pretty fast for finding those paterns... I will try when the time comes to make a pair myself and then a pair for Max. He is 4th generation Cherokee so it seems like it would be a nice gift too. He mentioned he remembered mine and that his were almost exact while just smiling from ear to ear.. He knows if I figure it out he will have a pair too.. Of course I still need to repair his Bone Collar Choker before it gives up.. Project Projects
Deborah I will keep sending out well wishes and prayers for your Aunt Lisa to continue to recover as soon as she is able. Its great news that she remembers you and with some time Im sure things will get better. Hang in their and remember to take care of yourself. If you need anything we all are just a screen away.
Big Bear Huggs
Donna
Big prayers and hugs going out to Aunt Lisa for sure. She is on the way to recovery, and we all thank God for that!
That quaote is what i have on my emails. Very nice.
Good night all
My foot is doing pretty good tonight. Pain meds are under control. Todd says no more whole pain pills that close together! I learned my lesson.
Sweet dreams all!
LK
It was on your email that I read it, Linda K. Thank you! Sweet dreams to you too, sweetie.
Deborah, prayers continued here but while doing this remember to take care of Deborah too. I do hope the recovery starts speeding up now that she is out of ICU. You will never be far from our thoughts.
Linda Kay, good for Todd!! Especially if they make you that "loopy" not that we don't like you loopy but the other Linda Kay is better. Take care of the foot and continue healing. Rest well.
Donna, glad we could help a little bout the suede. One year my hubby gave me 2 yards of ultra suede for a present and I was scared to death to cut it. Finally figured it wasn't going to sew itself so cut away. That is when I learned you do thing a little different and it really isn't all that difficult if the desire is there. I can definitely see you have the desire to do this so go for it!!
Well I am off the bed early tonight. Been a busy weekend and still have a slight headache--left over from the sinus mess I guess. Nothing big just think I will go to bed and rest.
Sleep well Sistahs.
BJ, I'm really worried about you. Sounds like you will be in big trouble with all of your sistahs if you don't call your doctor tomorrow! Getting dehydrated can lead to other problems and you don't need any additional worries. Can you keep water down? Even sipping a little water from time to time would help but others are right - you're electrolytes and minerals are bound to be out of balance.
LK, glad to hear you are doing ok. Pain meds are a neccessary evil aren't they? I had 3 major surgies on my arm/wrist and 2 on my eye within 8 months one year and seems I lived on pain meds. They mess with your whole body - not just your head!
Deborah, I know you must be relieved for your aunt to be out of ICU. Bet she's glad to be in a private room, too. Sounds as if she is improving each day. You're a good friend and neice to stay with her - but take care of yourself, too. It's draining both physically and emotionally to care for those hospitalized. So many people have not had the experience to realize what a blessing it is to have someone stay with you while you are hospitalized - or take shifts with your loved ones.
Donna, glad you got Tristen checked and on meds. Hope she feels better soon. I'm impressed at your interest in making your own moccasins. Would never cross my mind to make them myself. Anxious to see you model your finished product!
Marion, sounds as if you are starting to feel yourself again? We were worried over you, too!
FINALLY! My poor wreath swap buddy probably thinks she's been duped. Every time I've tried to set time aside to work on the project something unexpected comes up and it gets put off. Was determined to get it done today and DID IT! Of course, it's larger than planned and no box here to fit it. Ugh! So...will get the box tomorrow and mail on Tuesday.
Same for poor Santa. He's been standing on the dining room table 'waving' to get attention for a week now. I forgot how busy this time of year gets. Besides holidays, it's my busiest time at the med center plus this year I've got DD's wedding to work on and am responsible for taking DFIL to his frequent doctor's appointments. Happy to do them all, it just keeps me hopping and no time for the fun stuff.
It will be while before I actually get started on them boots. .. But thats why I start asking questions now and I will make a file of boots! LOL then when Im able I will go get everything and get started..
We want to see pix when you get them made!
I'm better now. I laid down with a glass of ice cubes and sucked them. That stayed down, so I made me a cup of beef broth. That stayed down, so now I'm sipping some CranGrape juice. I feel much better than I did a while ago.
I will definitely call the doctor tomorrow... thank you all for worrying.
BUT, I do believe it was probably the spices in the tortilla soup broth I ate last night that was such a shock to my system.
Oh, and btw... Ensure is a wonderful drink... not untasty at all. Chocolate, Vanilla, and Butter Pecan are my favorites.
Nope, Don helped set up a game in Dallas early today, then flew to Charlotte this afternoon... he just called that he made it there just fine.
Deborah glad to hear Lisa is improving.....
BJ glad to hear you are feeling better.....keeping you and Lisa both in my prayers.
Donna, the last time I was up at the Tandy Store they had a pattern for the type of moccasins you described.....I will take a look next time I am up that way.
Debra, you have the hard part done......make that poor old Santa happy, I have one here waving back at him!!
BJ so Glad to here you are felling better now. I pesonally havent tried the ensure yet but am very picky anyway...lol I like the Carnation Good Start Instant Breakfast shakes ..
Will definately post pictures when I get teh tiome and funds to work on my project along with questions Im sure..
Well I better get to work. I need to get the papers together for the appoitment at the forclosure counslers office in the morning. I have it all out but need to straighten out the folders and be sure everything is there as well as write out our current budget or biscally where the money goes...lol
Keep your thoughts with us tomorrow please.. We need this to go well........
Bera Huggs
Trisha thanks so much for keeping an eye out just dont make a special trip...
Have a great night Im gonna get to that paperwork now
Donna will keep you in our thoughts and prayers that all goes well tomorrow...
Don't worry, it won't be a special trip, Laura and I go up there several times a year to replenish dyes, and other supplies we use in our leather working and we are over due for a trip right now and plan on going on payday...or before if a couple of customers pay their early.
BJ-please let us know what the Dr says-I am so worried about you reading all of this today:( I hope today is a better day-and yes-losing too much weight is very bad-my BF has stomach and ovarian cancer and because she had been depressed because of her divorce at the time and with the cancer treatments, she lost 35 lbs and they couldn't operate til she put 10lbs back on....
