Lancaster, OH(Zone 6a)

Morning all..

I finally gotto sleep around 1 last night and slept pretty hard with only a few weird dreams..

Donna your bathroom project looks wonderful.. Would you like to come down and help us finish ours... Only kidding of course but it looks great so far!

Well I just wanted to stop in before I head out to meet my mom.. Will try to check in later this afternoon...

Bear Huggs
Donna

(Audrey) Dyersburg, TN(Zone 7a)

Where Y'all been? I've been here since 5! Here's the second pot of coffee, and some cinnamin buns! Help yourselves!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

That's LK's second Santa.
Donna, hope you met with some success today. Times are hard everywhere, but if they accept barter for your work, that's a nice pay off too. Crossing my fingers.. keep your spirits up sistah. We'll prop you up and that's what we're here for. Nice to have some extra sets of ears, conveniently waiting for you to vent!!

Deborah and Phyllis, can you kindly share pix of your santas here. Yah, where are you Phyllis?? We miss you...just hoping you did not come down with the cruds.

Morning Tina-Tia. Your beans and cornbread has inspired me to fix a Cajun staple.. red beans and rice, with good smoked sausage. That's comfort food for sure. Good smoked sausage around here normally means the Hillshire Farm brand.

Happy Birthday BJ! Wishing you many more!!

Apple streudels and hot pot of coffee ready for breakfast this morning.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

I'm here, yummy cinnamon buns. TY Audrey.

Good Morning Everyone, hope ya all have a good weekend.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Lolol.. thanks Audrey. Always extras to feed the Saturday crowd!!
Why are you up so early?

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Morning there Cindy! What will you be doing today? More candle-making?

(Tia) Norman, OK(Zone 7a)

yummy good breakfast going on here.

I like rice and red beans my tummy cant handle the cajun tho. Dinner will probably be pizza or KFC tonight, just depends what time we get out of the auction tonight.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Auction? Remind me again, what auction you're going to? Sorry.. I think I'm losing more memory cells each day.

(Audrey) Dyersburg, TN(Zone 7a)

Jaye, I woke up at 3:30 and couldn't go back to sleep! I got hungry, there wasn't anything on tv, so I got up, nade coffee, took my drugstore, ate a bowl of cereal, and now I'm on Dave's!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

----then later on you'll be sleepy, Audrey... :D
Early Saturdays, I'm normally in my garden checking things out.. but it's too cold out there. Gonna grab me a second cup.

(Tia) Norman, OK(Zone 7a)

Poultry auction, I am taking in some roosters, and some bantam's

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Ohh.. I love those little Bantams.. they are fiesty for their size.

(Tia) Norman, OK(Zone 7a)

Oh yea they are. These that I am taking are Old English Game aka OEG's.

Last night my 2 dogs were raising up a ruckus in the yard, I could not figure out what the heck was up SOOOOOOOOOOOOO I had to get some more fire wood and I went out to see, LMAO my Black Australop rooster wanted to go to bed and they would not let him pass them. The rooster towers them he is HUGE, he was looking at them dogs like.............look guys I just want to go to bed I leave you alone you leave me alone.

I'm not sick lol...told ya last week I was going to be out of town over the weekend..Shelly my DD is moving into an apartment in Houston area (humble actually ) and I left thursday night with her to be down here to meet the movers Friday am to unload the truck.
Helping her get things set up and put away so she wont rush back to Houston right after thanksgiving

had excitement though on the way to the new apartment Friday morning we left the downtown apt she has been in and headed to Humble on 45...some truck lost a metal grate off his truck ...it was sliding down the road and we had no place to go no one would move so we could get over to another lane so she tried to strattle it which for the most part we did but the right rear tire didn't miss it so we ended up changing a flat tire at 7am someplace around an air something road LOL ..we did make it off the highway to a gas station to do it and only 1 person the whole time we were doing it asked if we needed help. so we got to the apartment just be fore the movers, the comcast guy showed early then the tv guy....so around 1 we went to the mall to sears and got the tire replaced...so today we work on getting everything here at the downtown apartment loaded up and moved to her place as she has been staying in a friends place....soooo I am around and will pop in when I can

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

That must have changed history!!! Lol!!
Kel says, his granma had a pet rooster that grew up with the dogs. So it played with the dogs. When granma fed the dogs, it will be right there with them wanting to be fed. It even slept with the dogs!!
Unfortunately they didn't take pix.

(Tia) Norman, OK(Zone 7a)

Oh gosh sounds fun. i hate moving. Stay warm.

(Tia) Norman, OK(Zone 7a)

my dogs will go out with me to the chickens and will lay down in the chicken yard until Tessla the turkey, gets wind of them. She will run them off.

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Good Morning everyone.

Trisha, ahem... I'm all choked up... that's undoubtedly the nicest thing anyone has ever said about me... at least so I could hear, anyway. Thank you... I'll write more when that really soaks in.

Well, ladies... I tried something yesterday to see if I could figure out why I was getting sick so much early in the morning. I didn't have anything but clear liquids after 4pm yesterday. Before 4pm, the only thing I ate that wasn't liquid was some bread (which seems to flow pretty fast through my stomach). I went to bed hungry, and my tummy was rumbling, but I used mind over matter, and tried to ignore it. I did fall asleep in spite of it. And this morning, I had NO attack waking me up. YIPPIE...
But I can't keep that up very long... I'll be lost if I turn sideways.
BUT, at least now I know how to schedule my intake to reduce the pain.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

I remember that Phyllis. But I also recalled you'll be bringing your laptop with you. So, got kinda worried... but didn't expect for your daughter to run into problems.
My gf had a donut store in Humble. When she had her first stages of cancer, I helped her in the store for 5 weeks, so she could have her chemos.
Stay warm Phyllis, don't know how cold you are there, but it's in the 30's here!!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

So in other words, you can't chew anything after 4pm. That's kinda drastic.. but if it works.. maybe some clear soups BJ to offset some inevitable hunger pangs?

(Phyllis) Flint,, TX(Zone 7b)

yeah the laptop did come with but with the tire issue then unpacking some of the stuff to try and get a start on putting things away the tv guy was suppose to be there by noon and didn't get there till after 12:30 so we didn't get to leave to grab lunch till after 1 then the hour and a half we had to wait on the tire replacement at sears at the Deerbrook mall making it after 3:30

the tire issue was my car as we drove down in my car leaving her pickup truck at home for DH to work on it ...change oil etc.
but as soon as she is awake we will start loading the car up for the first load over

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Yep Jaye, I am making candles today. I finished Deborah's order, now starting another order, but not as big as Deborah's. Then I will make a bunch to take around to sell. Then I'm going finish my Secret Santa pressie. Then after that I think I will go out side and finish planting bulbs. It's still warm here in the high 60's although the mornings are really chilly like low 40's. Rick's 2 stepdaughters are coming the Saturday after Thanksgiving to pick up their deceased mother's Christmas decos, plus my mom will be staying thru the weekend. So I need to get the dinning room table cleaned off. Rick is off all this next week, Tuesday he has surgery, Wed. I've got to make pies & bread. Gonna be busy, busy.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Oh dear, Cindy.. I feel so guilty sitting here contemplating NOT doing anything, after reading your post.
Wait... I think I can find something to do :D Yep.. continue with Emerson's pieces..

Wish I could help you with the baking, Cindy. I promise not to taste it first!

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Hmmm... I have some ties to Humble too... what a small world. I attended classes at NHCCC there in Humble. 2 1/2 years of Photo Tech. That was when I lived in Spring, in the 80's.

Hey, Phyllis... don't work too hard down there... but get her all set up and hurry home...

That's what I did last night, Clear broths, juice, and water after 4pm... but I was still hungry. I usually like a glass of milk and some crackers before bed, but didn't do that last night either.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Well now, that is what I have planned to do, doesn't mean it's going to happen LOL. Rick is home so things can get changed in a hurry. First have to do some house cleaning, YUK. I want a maid for Christmas, my very own maid to clean and cook for me so I can work outside gardening or spend time in my craft room,LOL. After being a housekeeper for 36 years I need my own.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Good Morning BJ,
Happy Birthday to You, Happy Birthday to You, Happy Birthday Dear BJ, Happy Birthday to You.................... Here's a card for you Dear Sistah

http://www.jacquielawson.com/viewcardm.asp?code=1597998396316&ob=1

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Awww.... Thanks Cindy.... that is such a sweet card. (smooches)

Fostoria, OH(Zone 5a)

They say that what every woman needs is a good wife! then little things like meals, cleanng, the wash would all be taken care of. Yeh, sure....
BJ I have some similiar problems but not to the extend you do. I find that I can't eat anything between 4-5 hours before I go to bed. Drink tea, maybe, but nothing carbinated. If I don't I pay for it. I used to be the kind to eat dinner between 7-8, but no more. I even learned to sleep sitting up. Make the pains more bearable.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

You're Welcome BJ,

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Well, Janice... guess I'm not alone... that's a good feeling.
Even before 4pm yesterday, it was mostly clear liquids... but I did juice some veggies, some fruit, and ate some crackers and toast. Yesterday, though, I didn't have any dairy... ie no cheese with my crackers, and no butter on my toast, and no milk.... maybe that was the key... and maybe it was just the clear stuff late in the day... but I'm fine this morning, and I really really want to go to my g'daughter's play tonight... so, I'm sticking to it again today.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

I sleep with my head propped on 3 pillows!!!

Well sistahs, Tina Turner will be 69 this month... Imagine that.. she don't even look older than 40!!

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

OH, I forgot to tell you about this guy I met at the lab yesterday...
I was sitting next to him, waiting to get blood drawn... don't know why, but they draw blood to test for some tests before every CAT scan. Anyway, was talking to this gentleman, and he mentioned that he had a 63 year old daughter working in Washington at the White House... he was very proud of her. Now, this man didn't look over 60 himself... so I asked him how old he was. HE'S 94 years old, drove himself to the hospital, bright, bright mind, and remembers EVERYTHING. I went in to get my blood drawn and the nurse looked on my wrist band to check my identity, and she mentioned that "tomorrow is your birthday?"... I said "yes". The man spoke up and said "How old were you in 1963 on your birthday?"... I moved the curtain that was between us, and looked him square in the eyes, and said "you remember that?"... he said, "I know exactly were I was that day."
How cool is that? I can only hope I'm that bright at 94 years old... and look that good, and remember that much. Let alone, still be around at that age.

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

That's the truth, Jaye, and Tina Turner has legs of a 20 year old!

Audrey, you've penned another great, "taking my drug store". I'll have to remember that one. LOL

Beautiful sayings Trisha. Very fitting for our birthday sistah, Bj.

So sorry you've been sick, Donna. Roger is a good nurse!

Good morning all my sistahs. May not be on much. Still cleaning a nasty house. renting a carpet shampooer to clean 30 year old nappy carpet to get ready for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Please continue to keep my anut Lisa in your prayers. She's not off of seditives yet. Been in ICU 10 days now.

♫♪HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BABY♫♪BJ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Will do Deborah. I posted Aunt Lisa and others that need prayers, to remind me to do so, besides praying for ALL of us.

BJ, I want that man's mind.. RIGHT NOW!!! Have a hard time remembering things.. I do make lists, but sometimes forget to refer to the lists..

(Audrey) Dyersburg, TN(Zone 7a)

Tina Turna was born and raised just a few miles from where I raised my kids! Nutbush, USA! Haywood County, TN.

(Audrey) Dyersburg, TN(Zone 7a)

When I make lists, I forget the lists!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

And that's her signature song too "Nutbush"
