Oopps... maybe not... on second thought...

Drunks and power tools might not be a good idea.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

ROFL!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They'll change the look of your neighbourhood for sure!!!

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Ahhh... we'll just invite the neighbors... they'll enjoy this bunch of nuts... and if they don't... it'll give em all something to talk about for years to come.

(Audrey) Dyersburg, TN(Zone 7a)

YA GOTTA SHARE THE BAILEY'S!!!!!!! My fav! Next to mudslides!

(Laura) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

I had the cooked Radishes and they’re really good. I threw them into several stir-fries this summer.

I think I’ll join you gals in the corner if you’ll share.

For those that don’t “drink” we could make up Shirley Temples, Q-cocktails or other non-alcoholic cocktails.

Jaye, you can have both healthy and non-healthy at Thanksgiving; Fruit salad, salad, vegetables, rolls, you know the stuff you eat because you think you should even when all you want is meat, things covered in gravy and dessert.
You’re just full of recipes today.

BJ, amusing story.

I’ll take the Ameretto, Kahlua, Baileys, and the Crown Royal if you want to send them up here.

I’ve had experience with drunks and non-power tools; I hate to think about power tools. You could remove them before they show up though. Wish I could come, sounds like fun.

(Audrey) Dyersburg, TN(Zone 7a)

BJ, when is your bd? I thought it was before mine.???

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Laura, I add sliced radishes to a bowl of steaming hot posole. But I prefer them raw..

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Audrey, my b'day is this Saturday... the 22nd.
Yours is next weekend, isn't it?

WOW... I just got a call from son #1... was invited to see my g'daughter in a play this Saturday... what a shock... I haven't heard from him in over 3 months...

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Way to go BJ. How far is he from you?
Ladies, I am going to go and get a good nights sleep. Be good, and I will be back on sometime Friday or Saturday.
LK

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

He's only 30 mins away from me, but I don't get to see him or the g'kids very often.

Night Night, LK... be careful tomorrow, I'll be thinking about you.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Good night, make sure you put padlocks on the alcohol closet. You don't want any sisiters trying to sneak in and get the bottle before we all get there?
LOL

Good evening everyone..

Whew im so glad that the day is finally over. I have done nothing but ran all day long and I am plain tuckered out. Went out this morning to start the truck and the vent window was busted.. Ugghh Glass everywhere so I had to go get it vacumed out and later found out Max locked the only key to the truck inside and had to break it to get in. Bad thing was we just fixed it about a month ago from the pull a part place.. To old of a part to order it..lol

Went checking for tree stands but hey are not up yet locally so the wreath project is ready and waiting. My friend went out and bought picks and supplies and teh next batch (after we make money ) will be split between us. I gopt alot of insperation from the wreaths everyone swapped.. They were so pretty! I have one I think I may fix up a bit since its really old and needs some cheering up..

Max went to the dentist to get the antibiotics for his tooth since she couldnt see him until next week for pulling it and well once she got a look at it she made time. He really needed it out but it was stubbrona dn he swelled up a bit before headed out to work and eating a few Motrin since the pharmacy said it would be over an hour and he needed to be at work in an hour. It broke my heart I have never seen that look on his face before even after being at the dentist (we both have bad teeth). Even with that he smiled kinda goofy and said well I will see you in the morning and out the door he went, then he called a few minutes ago and said the police escorts havent showed up to work tonight so he may get to come home shortly since they were supposed to there at 830.. They cant close the freeway with out them so he may be comming home.

A very Big Bear Hug to Deborah C. and Donna V. for the lovely cards that were awaiting me in the mailbox today. One to make me smile for the beauty of a stunning daylily bloom and one to make me giggle with a joke.

O and my Thanksgiving list for food is getting way to big. I think I may have to cook a few small items and save a few of these for later in the year.. It all sounds sooo yummmy though.. Well except all that talk about Radishes...lol

Bj Congrats on your greenhouse.. What a lovely surprise!

Going to head to bed and wait to hear from the DH.. Everyone have a wonderful Night...

Bear Huggs
Donna

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Good night Donna, glad you're telling us how your day went today. As artistic as you are, we're pretty sure your wreaths will be the most beautimous on the block!

What wonderful news BJ! I've never been to any children's play, maybe a dance recital. Are you bringing the camcorder?

Well, I'm off to bed... have a good night sistahs.

(Audrey) Dyersburg, TN(Zone 7a)

Yes, my bd is the day after Thanksgiving, BJ. Glad you heard from your son. I haven't seen mine in about 4 years.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Well now that everyone has gotten themselves "tanked" and gone to bed I am left all by myself. Nope didn't abandon you all--just this is McDreamy nite!!!

Tink, sorry I don't drink and not in my wildest imagination would/could I mistake you for looking like JD! Sorry niecey poo!!

Incidentally the kahula cake recipe Jaye posted is fantastic. I make them all the time--usually for the "wrap" dinner for the festival committee. Just a word of advice: don't lose count of the kahula--oh my! but it can reallly liven up a group.

Off to bed. Chat tomorrow.

Will be thinking of you Linda Kay.

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

LOL... Don just called and had time to talk this time... I told him about ya'll cleaning out the liquor cabinet, and he's really doing the happy dance. Will be so nice to not have so much of all this on hand... a bottle or two is one thing... but we have way, way too much.

Oh, and Fairy Lips... he's looking forward to drinking with you. Said he'd let his hair down (all the way to the tops of his ears), and drink till he passes out. Which won't take long, cause he's way out of practice.

Oh, and one of the drivers were on his way back from Tenn and picked up some cases of Yuengling, his favorite beer. We can't buy it in Texas... so, Marion, if you want to make one man very happy, you'll show up with a case of it... we know you can get it in Florida.

Well, I'm off to bed now, while I'm feeling pretty good.

Nighty Night everyone. Sweet Dreams.

Glenview, IL

woohoo...found ya!

Night everyone.

P.S. LK, thinking about ya... getting some dance shoes for New Years!

ahhh, think about you all. prayers and Hugs for all sistahs.

ok good morning then too.

Ferndale, AR(Zone 7b)

Gooooooood maaaaaaaaaawn'in! Not too many up this morning. Must be the hangovers. Yes, you are a roudy bunch - and you hadn't even gotten into the liquor yet. Party girls! Is there room for one more in May??????????

It's Friday! Anyone with big weekend plans? BJ will be playing with her new greenhouse for sure. And attending her DGD's play to celebrate her birthday.

LK, thoughts are with you today. We will be waiting to hear you are back home, surgery went well, foot is up, and Bailey's in hand.

Another busy day today - working at med center from 8:30am - 2:00pm. Then errands, including taking the new sewing machine in to see why it's not working. Please don't tell me I've broken it already. Then visitation at the funeral home this evening - DH's law partner's MIL died. She'd had alzheimer's for a long time. Then dinner with one of the associate attorney's and his fiance'. They are such a cute couple. I wanted to adopt him the first time I met him. Well, guess that really wasn't my intentions when I first met him 'cause I whipped out my DD's photo and asked if he was available. LOL!

Soooo ..... another day on my own. Probably won't be back until tomorrow (can't miss BJ's birthday). Gosh it's hard not to be with my sistahs all day long. I miss you all so much.

Ferndale, AR(Zone 7b)

Ooops, I woke up a few pounding on the keyboard ....

Darn it, BJ, I hate you are having another attack. Are the pills for pain only? They don't prevent the attacks? Have you heard yet about your appt with the specialists?

Good morning, Kathy. How are your feather babies and that adorable Pooh?

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

deb, all my critters are fine and growing like weeds

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Oh BJ-I am so sorry to hear that:( I am hoping that you get some more things today:)

MORNING DEBRA!!! Yes there is room for one more in May!!

Ferndale, AR(Zone 7b)

I need to figure out a way to join this crazy bunch of gals.

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

I am saving my change and a couple buck here and there in a jar...figure that should take care of most of my plane ticket...

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Plenty room, Debra... you better be here... hubby's are welcome too.

No appointment yet... sheesh... it's like an act of congress to get an appointment there... gonna light a fire under them today, though.

Just tossed everything, so I should feel better soon.

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Guess who isn't coming into work AGAIN today??

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Hint???? Are you happy about it? or not?

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

I am kinda PO'd that this BS is being allowed to continue-while I don't really care if she is here as for how my day goes, I think it is crap that I can't call in sick for an 8" snowfall last winter that it took me almost 3 hrs and my personal safety to get here B4 plows had been out, but on her 1st week back, she only works 2 of the 5 days and it is OK???

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Surely upper management sees what she's doing... she can't expect to get by with that forever.

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

has for 2 years.....apparantly she is the only one in the company that gets like 30 sick days a year and only has to work about 25 hrs a week to get paid their full salary-has for 2 years with the exception of 2 mos...

(Audrey) Dyersburg, TN(Zone 7a)

Sounds like she's a brownnoser!
BJ, I'm so sorry you're in pain! They did check your gallbladder GOOD, didn't they? I was like that for two years before I got to the right dr. and he took one look at me and knew what it was! I had about 1,000 little stones completely blocking it, and stones were beginning to come out in the duct. That felt like labor pains! Surgery cured it, though!

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

I just called her boss and we had a nice long conversation....she is going to be allowed to come back to work as the consensus is that she is trying to get fired to sit at home and collect unemployment...but he said he will be addressing her inflexibility and inconsistency and the fact that her job description means long hrs and some other things that are not being met...

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Good for YOU, Stacey Would you want to have her job if she does get fired?
