Well if I recall, BJ had asked her mum, when she could start shaving her legs, and her mum said...on her birthday.

Yes, Jaye... I shave my legs every birthday... LOL... I'm surprised you remember that story.

ok, here's the list of liquors still in the closet... I think Don might have found a home for some of it last year for Christmas presents for co workers... so, this is what's left.

On the rare occation that Don has a cocktail, he drinks the rum.
On the rare occation that I have a mudslide, I use the Vodka.

Whew... now that I reread it.. it does call for censorship, doesn't it? Lol!!

O.k now that is 3 of ya that don't drink. Other than me who is going be drinking BJ's odd ball liquor Memoial Weekend, Stacey? Kathy? Who?????

BJ, there are some desserts that call for some of your flavored liquers and of course Kahlua.

Oh, yea... and I do have a bottle of Butter Shots... but you can't have it... someday, I'm going to drink it... is one of my indulgences.

I made Grand Marnier chocolate bars once... but we didn't like them.

Butter Shots? Never heard of them.

CHOCOLATE KAHLUA CAKE

1 chocolate cake mix
1/2 c. vegetable oil
1 box instant chocolate pudding
4 eggs
3/4 c. strong instant coffee (made with 2 tsp. coffee with 1 c. water; cool before adding)
3/4 c. creme de cacao or Kahlua or coffee liqueur
1 c. sifted powdered sugar
2 tbsp. cooled coffee
4 tbsp. creme de cacao, Kahlua or coffee liqueur

Combine first 6 ingredients and beat for 4 minutes. Grease and flour a tube pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Check for doneness with a toothpick which must come out clean. Cool.
Combine the following in a small bowl: 1 cup sifted powdered sugar, 2 tablespoons cooled coffee, 4 tablespoons creme de cacao, Kahlua or coffee liqueur; mix well.

Use a short skewer to poke holes in top of cake and let this mixture drip in. It is not a glaze. Dust with confectioners' sugar for an attractive finish. Serve with your favorite ice cream. A chocolate lover's delight!

I got an idea... when you all come Mem Day weekend... you each bring a recipe for something using one of those liquors... then we'll bake it while your here.

MEEEE-I see a few faves on that-we will get a bottle of Vanilla vodka and have screaming multiple ooooo's (you knwo what I am talkin bout)

BJ, orange and chocolate can be quite a risky combo.
But here's one that should be good.

GRAND MARNIER CUSTARD

1 1/2 c. milk
1 1/2 c. heavy cream
2 (2") strips orange peel, 1/2" wide
2 whole eggs
4 egg yolks
1/2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. Grand Marnier

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Heat water in a teakettle. Combine milk, cream and orange peel in a saucepan, bring just to a boil and set aside to cool slightly. Combine the whole eggs, egg yolks, sugar and Grand Marnier in a large bowl and beat thoroughly with a whisk. Remove orange peel from milk. While still whisking eggs, gradually add the milk and cream mixture and continue beating until well mixed. Pour into 6 (6 oz.) custard cups, place cups in a baking pan and pour boiling water into pan to about halfway up on the cups. Place in oven and lay a piece of aluminum foil over cups. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes until custard is set and a knife inserted in center of custard comes out clean.

Stacey... that Tia Maria is kind of like Baileys... great in coffee.

Marion willl like it since I tend to start looking like Johnny Depp after 1/2 a botttle or so....
