The photograph is a Flava X Lilac from my friend from Germany. It is beautiful, isn't it? Well darn it, I knew I shouldn't have napped, now I am not sleepy. Guess I will have to find a really boring book or show on tv. Love to you all my friends. May tonight bring you sweet dreams and tomorrow blessings abundant. {{{{{{{HUGS to you all!}}}}}}}} Karen

Hate those naps. You feel worse when you wake up than if you had not done it. Then hours later the rest from the nap finally kicks in when it is time to go to bed. Then the vicious cycle starts and you want a nap tomorrow cause you did not sleep last night. Good luck tonight. Hope that you can sleep.

Good morning all. It's been cool here the last 2 mornings. I think winter is finally about to catch us. Supposed to get down to 20 for Fridays low.

Anjl sorry to hear your news. I hope someone will listen to reason. I would get a 2nd opinion too.

Welcome Kathy and where is Eunice? I am on the far west side of the state about 75 miles south of KC and 20 miles from the KS line.

Midwest City, OK(Zone 7b)

Good morning! Major computer problems this morning, as in cable outage, so work got all shifted around.

Anjl, definitely prayers and hugs your way!! Keep fighting for your health and I agree totally with what everyone has said with a second opinion and the Cancer Center. Beck, you and Mom, too! Let that nurse take some of the worrying over for you, that is what he is trained to do. Love the greenhouse picture. Lyle is really doing his best to make it nice for you! :)

Now, since I sorta kinda got the day off after 4 hours of computer problems, got to get busy with home chores. I've got a baby shower to go to tonight and this wanna-be grandma loves baby shopping, so I'm out of here. Everybody, all of you HBAs, have a good day. ((Group HUG)) Love, Peg

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I made the jump, I have something to show you all!!!!
I thought it was going to be a yellow brug, but my first bloom to open fully was this morning, and she turned to pink. She is a noid, but beautiful all the same, and smells so sweet!!!
It is just a quick snap shot, as soon as I get better light, I will go get better ones.

Oh wow Linda Kay, that is beautiful!!! I remember when my MEM started out white and changed colors, I freaked out! So funny how some Brugs do that, isn't it? Congrats!

Wrightstown, NJ(Zone 7a)

Morning, Just stopped by to say hi and saw some of the posts regarding illnesses. I wanted to add my prayers for everyone.

I am a converted Catholic, my Marine Corp husband's wishes. I never could say no to a Marine. It was his dying wish that we could be married in the Catholic Church prior to his death. He had lung cancer. So, I managed to work the classes in and we were remarried in the church on Nov. 18th and he died Dec. 26th same year. So, he died feeling happy about that. I am telling you this because he told me that being a Catholic you get more than one chance at having your prayers answered because of "He" isn't listening, you can always tell his "Mother". I always think of my DH when I pray because of that comment. He had a wonderful sense of humor.

So, I will tell you all, my prayers are sure to help because I have more than one way to get the message to the right person.

I do hope you all have a wonderful day. Enjoy your coffee. I am off to do chores. BRRRR it is cold here today.

Eunice, MO(Zone 5b)

Cathy, Eunice is about 60 miles south of Rolla, 90 miles east of Springfield. I am about 80 miles north of the Arkansas line. It is about 6 hours from you. I used to drive thru KC when I would visit my daughter while they were stationed at ...darn brain fart can't remember the army post they were at in Kansas LOL. If they did not move every 3 years I would remember better.

What a pretty bloom, Linda! Thanks for showing her. And thanks to everyone else for your pics. I can't wait for mine to do the same.

Okay...coffee, seeds, trowel, loppers, gloves, trash bin, cats...I have everything for working in the yard. Gotta go take care of the rest of the roses and the plants by the porch.

(Phyllis) Osceola, PA(Zone 5b)

I'm here lurking..
Gotta go to town...
Just need a push out the door though...LOL
A big one cause it's brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr out there....

(Phyllis) Osceola, PA(Zone 5b)

Anyone wanna volunteer to sweep the snow off my car??
Heck don't even know where the shovel is haven't used it in years...LOL

(Zone 7a)

You can borrow my sweeper for your car. It has an extendable handle for getting the tops of vehicles w/o changing sides. ☺☺☺

Eunice, MO(Zone 5b)

Put another log on the fire and lurk where it is warm. Better here than there.

(Becky) Colmesneil, TX(Zone 8b)

Even better here..lol OK.. I am gone!!..lol

Karen.. been meaning to ask... isn't Peg in the ornament swap??

(Karen) Frankston, TX(Zone 8a)

No Becky, Peg decided not to be in the ornament swap, but I believe she made one for Anjl's friend.....

Kathy I had a laugh when I read your last post, reminded me of a little "ditty" my Dad used to sing when I was little....

Put another log on the fire,
Cook me up some bacon and some beans
Go out to the car and jack it up and change the tire,
Wash my socks and sew my old blue jeans,
C'mon baby you can fill my pipe, and then fetch me my slippers,
Boil me up another pot of tea,
Throw another log on the fire, Baby, then come tell me why you're leaving me!

Eunice, MO(Zone 5b)

LOLOL
I think I was married to him no wait I know I was married to him
"was" being the oprative word

(Phyllis) Osceola, PA(Zone 5b)

I have the record...45's remember them??

Put another log on the fire.
Cook me up some bacon and some beans.
And go out to the car and change the tyre.
Wash my socks and sew my old blue jeans.
Come on, baby, you can fill my pipe,
And then go fetch my slippers.
And boil me up another pot of tea.
Then put another log on the fire, babe,
And come and tell me why you're leaving me.

Now don't I let you wash the car on Sunday?
Don't I warn you when you're gettin fat?
Ain't I a-gonna take you fishin' with me someday?
Well, a man can't love a woman more than that.
Ain't I always nice to your kid sister?
Don't I take her driving every night?
So, sit here at my feet 'cos I like you when you're sweet,
And you know it ain't feminine to fight.

So, put another log on the fire.
Cook me up some bacon and some beans.
Go out to the car and lift it up and change the tyre.
Wash my socks and sew my old blue jeans.
Come on, baby, you can fill my pipe,
And then go fetch my slippers.
And boil me up another pot of tea.
Then put another log on the fire, babe,
And come and tell me why you're leaving me.

Eunice, MO(Zone 5b)

Sure I remember 45's got a stack of 'em I even have a working 8 track player recorder. Most of my 8 track tapes have oxidised and separated at the splice. I got tired of fixing them just to show off that I can play them lol.

(Becky) Colmesneil, TX(Zone 8b)

LOLOL... I think I am STILL married to him..lol.. cept I don't have to fill his pipe.. he doesn't smoke!!

OK..TY Karen... that settles it about Peg

Eunice, MO(Zone 5b)

Pipes make a mess at least his did.

(Phyllis) Osceola, PA(Zone 5b)

Hey are we all married to the same guy?? LOL

Eunice, MO(Zone 5b)

That polygamist! We should turn him in and let the government support him!

(Phyllis) Osceola, PA(Zone 5b)

Hey mine started out good...
Threw that hook with the real good bait on it...and I got hooked
Lit my cigarettes..opened doors for me...He cleaned.... cooked..did laundry..
The Works....Then BOOOM..IT ALL STOPPED
Guess I spoiled him in the proccess...But he says i'm spoiled cause I ALWAYS get what I want...LOL
But he still doesn't like me doing Physical Labor..
I just do it when he's not around....LOL
My Motto
I Can Do Anything A Man Can Do But BETTER....teeheehee

(Phyllis) Osceola, PA(Zone 5b)

Terry didn't waste any time by putting # 1 over here....LOL

Eunice, MO(Zone 5b)

When I met mine he wore a suit and drove a new car. Found out it was a company car and he borrowed the suit from his brother for his job. Somehow he was unemployed shortly after we were married and our car was a beat up old chevy. Lived in shacks and drove beat up cars and supported his sorry self the entire marriage.
I am glad that young and stupid is a temporary ailment LOL

(Karen) Frankston, TX(Zone 8a)

LOL, Phyllis, you are quick! I noticed last night that Lu had accidentally, bless her heart, found the first thread and posted about the H word group being so great, hahah! I knew she was just trying to find us, but I figured out it would get moved with a quickness....They should check on the MSN chat more often, it really doesn't belong in the forum it's in either.....

(Phyllis) Osceola, PA(Zone 5b)

Guess i'm pretty fortunate...
27 years next week...
He's Just Spoiled and high mantiance now...LOL
He didn't like me to work...
I tried it a couple of times but it was better when I didn't...
I help him around here..
We cut wood every Sunday....well he cuts it...He doesn't like it when I split it...
Yells at me...LOL
So mostly I just load it and unload it....
BUT he taught my DD everything....LOL How to run a chainsaw...and split it....
She does the whole power tool thing
and he even taught her how to operate a bulldozer...LOL

(Phyllis) Osceola, PA(Zone 5b)

Here's DD operating the Dozer when we were clearing for the new horse pasture...

Thumbnail by lilsista59
Eunice, MO(Zone 5b)

I could sure use someone good with a chainsaw. I do not have enough oomph to even start this big johnsared anymore. I can still split some but my daughter does most of it she says it is too much for me. I do not argue. lol
