Trisha, I love coffee served this way. Non fat milk, instead, and heap a tbsp. of Ghiradelli cocoa, with 2 packs Sweet and Low.

I broke my computer... I don't know how... but all of a sudden, I can't get on the internet with it anymore... so, I have to use Don's until he has time to fix it. This is the second time that happened, and he can't remember how he fixed last time.

I almost have all my mitered pieces sewn together ... *whew*...

potato is good , New England clam chowder, a good seafood bisque, cream of mushroom

ham and beans and corn bread is good too when ya butter the hot corn bread and put karo syrup on it LOL

I don't make good cornbread from scratch. Always use the ready mix kind. Like Martha White.
An old friend of mine once made Tortilla soup. Talk about good, with chicken in it... then there's the Mexican Posolle..got to check the sp. which I fell in love with. Come on, you all Texans help me out.. that soup has hominy, meat and top with radish and cabbage.
Now, a good seafood gumbo with fresh sausage is to die for. But then, I'm just a prejudiced Asian Cajun!!! Lolol!!

Okay thank you very much! I was perfectly satisfied with my tangerine until I came up hear and started reading this. I want some good clam chowder. Humm maybe bean and ham soup. No wait, potato soup. Shucks bring it all on!!! Cornbread too. Yeap make mine in a cast iron skillet with buttermilk. My Mom kept telling me I couldn't make cornbread with buttermilk until I showed her one time. More than one way to skin a --oops!! Nope not tha saying!!!

Thanks for the coffee offer but I will pass tonight. Not going to stay up much longer as the "witching" hour is rapidly approaching! Or my eyes are starting to say it is.

Judy, there are a an number of recipes for cornbread. I would have to look mine up but will and post. Be forwarned everyone has a favorite and try all until you find one you really like the texture and taste of.

Judy... buy a bag of cornmeal at the store... and follow the directions on the package... that recipe is really pretty good.

Had tangerine, oranges and grapefruit trees in the yard when I was growing up but not here! Shucks, Dad had a grove among other things. Hurts to have to buy them but love them to much not to buy!!! Hopefully my Sister's grapefruit will produce some decent ones this year. Not sure as the lack of rain when they wer maturing could have hurt them.
