BJ-not existing ones, just anything new-they suggested the marketplace, but my co-ops are like $5000-and I certainly don't have that kind of $$-maybe to do another one I will send out a group blast with my email addy and anyone that wants in we can do through email?? You think admin would be upset??

BJ-is Don coming my way at all??LOL

Jaye-Makers Mark-a whiskey

Mine is Kahlua, Vanilla Vodka, Captain Morgans (MY FAVE) and Parrot Bay

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Wow BJ, that's cool. Wonder how it would look if you used fabric that had small scenes in it?

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

I don't see any MI on his schedule... but he's going to Utah next week.
This is the time of year when his schedule can change at the spur of the moment... Big 12 football is the worse... never know whose playing who till the last minute.

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

I think that would look too cool... someday maybe I'll do that... but for now, I'm going to use large florals in the middle, with light and dark frames...

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

That is cool BJ-looks 3-D

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Well, if he comes for U of M or MSU, you better let me know-or the Lions:)

(Audrey) Dyersburg, TN(Zone 7a)

Gonna lie down, now, I'm nauseous.

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

I'm about to show y'all several quilts that belonged to my husband's aunt. These are very old. Three of them were only quilt tops that I had a lady put the batting and back on and she used a sewing machine to quilt two of them. One is just a quilt top and the bear claw quilt was already finished when I married Larry.

Here's just the top not quilted yet.....

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Yep I love to fish. The biggest fish I caught was a 9 pound salmon, my first time fishing for salmon. Let me tell that fish gave me a fight. I was shaking so bad with excitment I thought I was going to fall out of the boat. Got it in finally, was taking a smoke break (yep I used to smoke) when hubby said get your line back in. An hour later bam another one 8 pounds. Hubby didn't get anything. Then next morning went out again and I caught another one hee hee.

I'll catch 'em and clean 'em, but won't eat or cook in the house, don't like the taste or smell

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

LOL Kim, you're riot, have you burnt the candle yet?

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

(((((((((((((Deborah))))))))))))))) Anything you need to get that first quilt going let me know!
BJ, yep, that's grandmother's flower garden or old English garden. I'm sure Deborah's DH's aunt hand piece all those lovely, lovely quilts. What a treasure you have Deborah.
I like attic window. Anything with a play on dark and light attracts me.

Audrey, hope you're not getting the cruds!

Susan... machine piecing is made easier now. Especially when you use patterns requiring only strips like log cabin.

Stacey, all is not lost, you have our emails.

I'm on cloud 9!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Looking forward to that special day when we will see our magnanimous sistah BJ in person!!!! Doing the "stir the pot" dance here!!
YAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Yep... two sistahs called me today... how lucky am I???? !!!!!

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Cindy, I think Deborah was refering to the "give someone a fish, they'll eat for a day, teach them to fish and they'll eat for a lifetime"....
You've been taught well, and are one talented lady... so you should eat for a lifetime.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

I've never heard that, Rick says I've lead a sheltered life

Danville, VA(Zone 7a)

I kinda like that.... Kimmy I am going to call you after I wake up from my nap...LOLOL I will never try to quilt again... I got so upset that I could not do it I cried for a week...LOLOL
I would call you later BJ but I don't have your number...LOL
Hugs,
Susan

(Audrey) Dyersburg, TN(Zone 7a)

DEb, You're not supposed to leave quilts in plastic! I don't remember why, but it's not good for them. Hang them out to air every few months, also. Store them in pillowcases.
BJ, I don't have your #! I can call on weekends!
Deb, are you going to "quilt as you go" on the Log Cabin quilt?
Jaye, I took a pain pill on an empty stomach this morning, that's why I was nauseous!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Deborah, Audrey is right. Quilts should not be stored in plastic but rather in 100 % cotton pillowcase or muslin bags. They need to breather. You might contact Suzanne's Quilt Shope in Moultie about repairing your Grandmother's Flower Garden Quilt. They are all so lovely and tuly heirlooms. Let me do some digging and I will send you a simple bag pattern for storing quilts that you can make from muslin. If you fold them they should be taking out and refolding in a different way every so ofter--that can cause them to deteriorate also.

Hello Susan, wondered where you had disappear to. Still using and loving the beautiful blue bag. Think of you everytime!!! Don't get lost now--stay with us!!!

Cindy, oh my! Lemon meringue pie? Me, me, me but you can keep the puffy stuff on top--just the filling and crust.

Waaaa!! Not fair, BJ, I want to met Jaye too. Pout, pout!!!!!!!!

Linda Kay, hummm, maybe we should just rent a big condo at the beach and all of us get together. Don't have to be a beach person or sun worshiper just like to watch the water and walk on the sand.

Tink, I didn't think they were closing the co-ops, just restating the rules. Maybe I had better go back and reread the thread again. That would be a shock to a lots of people.

Audrey, hope you are feeling better soon.

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

LK... Pick me up on your way to Marion's... I want to walk on the beach too!!! But Marion... come on... it's not just the water and sand you go to the beach for... you're going to watch the hunks too... admit it...

I have heard that before about not putting quilts in plastic... but I figure if I have a beautiful quilt... I don't want to store it away where people can't see it... I want it out for all to see. But, I do keep some in a cedar chest, too.

Well... Deborah thinks I should celebrate my birthday all month long... and hey, I'm game... bring it on. I have to admit though, I can be spoiled very easily. No one has ever made a big deal over my b'day before... even Don remembers last minute most of the time.

Well, Deborah sent me my first b'day present... and oh, my, goodness... it is BEAUTIFUL... She's outdone herself again...
I now have a most wonderfulest centerpiece for my dining table... and she used the peacock feathers that I shared with her when I picked them all up off the ground at Kathy's friend Wally's house. This is just perfect, because all I had on my dining table were some candle sticks (other than all the other crap I had to clean off to take this pic)...
Now, isn't this the most finest thing you ever saw?
