I also got my fabrics from Cindy that she let us pick from the other day... now, that was fast... nothing slow about our Cindy, huh?

THANK YOU CINDY !!!

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Sorry BJ, sure hope they get this pain thing figured out soon!! These Bank things are kind of scary. Sure hope they all this stuff sorted out….would prefer sooner rather than later……….

Kathy let us know as soon as you get it….we want to see!!!

Thanks Jaye we will definitely keep Marion’s neice, and Marion in our prayers….

Hang in there Kim a lot of us have trouble keeping up with this chatty group!

Stacey (((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))) don’t worry about the bank or the job! BJ is right, the Bank is insured so that will work out…………..I KNOW ALL ABOUT THE JOB THING ! Been there, done that and have way too many tee shirts…but it always seemed to turn out for the best …..and you have a lot of Aunties (and a cuz) saying prayers and sending good thoughts your way!

Cindy sounds like BJ has the right idea…….my daddy got his last whippin’ from my grandad when he was about 17. He asked gramp how long he thought he was going to do that? The answer was “as long as you put your feet under my table”. I don’t recommend his method per se, I hear he was an onery, basically mean old cuss…….but it is YOUR HOUSE and if she wants to stay there she should shape up and if she doesn’t like it she should go somewhere else.

Drop in anytime Susan! (you can come do some of my housework if you want!!)

Tia sounds like you plan to have lots of fun! 300?!?!?!?!
Tickle that boy for us too!!!

Afternoon Deborah!!! Those are beautiful quilts!!!

Audrey you take care….and get some rest..

Had a little sun this morning, now the wind and rain are back….a lot of flood warnings…..where we are I keep telling them if I get flooded we have a lot worse to worry about….like finding the Ark!!!

TTYL Bill is ready for me to pick him up for lunch.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

What is the occasion for the scrumptous pie?, Cindy? I gotta try some lemon pies for Thanksgiving/

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Rick is trying to quit smoking so I have to keep his favorite sweets in the house. It's been 4 weeks ^_^ Plus I thought his daughter was going to spend the night she's not ^_^ OH sorry ^_^

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

Love all the fabrics BJ! You are going to be MIA but we'll know soon where you'll be: At your sewing machine.

Glad you liked your BD pressie. You know I wasa bustin' to send you something made with those peacock feathers. Why not celebrate all month long doncha think that will work? LOL

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

Cindy, Tell Rick I am too. Good thing I had some tootsie Roll lollipops left over from Halloween. They help occupy my hands. And crafting and sewing has helped too.

Jaye I'm coming right along on the butterfly bell pull. Enjoying it so much. Hugs!

Trisha, on the cards you make, where do you buy your card stock? Do you have one of those paper cutting boards with the handle that comes down and cuts the paper? I've received a few of your cards and I'm just so thrilled with your art work and stamping art. Jaye sent my one one time with frogs on it and there was a tissue overlay on front. So much detail!

Danville, VA(Zone 7a)

Well today was your lucky day BJ.. All those gifted people who can do that. Oh I really don't eat pies and stuff but I'm coming over to have a slice...LOL Glad your still using your bag Marion and think of me... ^_^ Ok I am off to go get a slice of that pie.
Hugs,
Susan

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Oh what a lovely pie!!!! I want some lemon pie!!! Cindy, I could have been worse and said what one of my friend's son said to her one year when she made a pie: "Mom just make the filling on the board--nothing else" Not a very good comment on her crust. I make lousy crust but my daughter can really make a good one. Oh well, I will leave that to her.

So sorry about your company but did I happen to see a smily face? LOL

Hi Kim, how you doing? Over the crud? Sure hope so. Miss seeing more of you.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

That's a beauty, Deborah! Love that centerpiece and you've started a trend.. who would have thought of peacock feathers.
Cindy, throw some pies my way. I'm eating everything in sight here :(
THE GAME got me so nervous.. had to take extra shots :****( Tears rollin' down..
We got a new quarterback that needs to go back to Flag Football!!!! Don't laugh Sis!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Congrats Deborah on the smoking!! Yeap keep those hands busy--think of that new grandbaby on the way. I will be getting your fat quarters to you before long--trying to match so all can be used together.

Oh Susan, I think of you often and yes, the bag goes everywhere and I still LOVE it!!! Great choice.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

hummm! That bad Jaye? Haven't even turned out game on--I think it was this afternoon.

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Oh, I think I can handle a month long b'day with all my BSF around... it usually depresses me, because no one usually remembers... plus, I'm just feeling really old lately. But, yea... I think that would work !!!

I had no idea when you left with those feathers that they would come back to me like that... you're sooooo artistic with arrangements like that... it's absolutely perfect... I can't wait for Don to get home so I can show him.

(Kim) Philadelphi, PA(Zone 6a)

Hi Marion!! Yes I feel soooo much better : ) Thanks. I mostly lurk these days lol!!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

I know! Glad you are better, please stay well with the holidays coming up. Why lurk? Join in and keep us straight!!!

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Darn... I started typing that right after Deborah's post... now it doesn't make sense anymore cause the conversation changed...

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

Don;t let the game make you sick now, Jaye. You talking bout Lee, Jaye. I'm laughing but not at your team, just I know exactly what you mean. It's 14 to 14 right now. I bet Kathy's hollaring Roll Tide Roll, and you are yelling in cajun, Geaux Tigers!

Well, I'm glad yall told me about the plastic bags! I knew plastic wasn't good for fur (not that I have any) but geezh, no wonder my quilts are deteirrating. Oh bother, says, Pooh to Eore.

Fostoria, OH(Zone 5a)

BJ you'll love the attic windows pattern. I made a baby quilt for one of my DGS with farm animals in the attic windows and it looked just like to could see out. Really gives a 3-dimensional look to it.
Boy, those fat quarters are wonderful. We sure did good, all of us.
Just got back from a t-shirt quilt class and this was fun. I am making one for a friend who couldn't bear to throw her t-shirts away. It is turning out bigger than I thought but if she is happy, I'm happy.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Deborah, I used to store mine in the same type bag until I read in one of my quilting magazines many moons ago not to do it. Then in a class I was taking, the teacher talked about it. The ideal thing would be acid free paper and wrap them gently. Remove every so often and refold a different way so as not to have lines started to go.
We all learn from each other!!!!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Janice that is on my "bucket list" also. I have all my and my late husband's festival shirts I want to make quilts with for our granddaughters. Plus some ties he liked for pillows. I think McCall's book had that pattern--will have to check as it is stored in the box with them.

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

Hey, BJ, I just talk anyway Just say it anyway we'll figure it out, BJ. If not, I'll send you some of my meds.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Sorry BJ, did I change the subject? Spit it out Sistah!!

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

ROFL... you are a hoot, sistah Deb...

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

Well, I want to know more about the t-shirt quilt, Janice. I've got all these football and baseball shirts and need to make a momento quilt out of them. Will you or Marion send me the pattern or insturctions or tell me where to go to get it?

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

No, it's ok, Marion... I just left the keyboard, and typed slow ... was my own self's fault.

Fostoria, OH(Zone 5a)

the pattern book they gave us for the t-shirt quilts was a good one. Let me know if you want the name or a copy. One gal was doing a travel one (got some of the shirts at Goodwill) , another had different shirts from a place called "Macy" which is her daugahters name, others had game shirts (football, soccor, etc.) My friends' are all from women's music festivals and I will use black material with musical notes at the banding and binding.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

LSU new quarterback needs to see a shrink!!
I NEED A TRANQUILIZER!!

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

Marion, tell me what a bucket list is.

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

So, I've finished cutting out all my window pieces ... now that I've done that... is it too late to ask if a 60" X 80" lap quilt is too big?

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

Jaye, he's color blinded. Through the ball across the field to a crimson shirt ain't good.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Oh please someone help Jaye. Really, really that bad, huh? Anyone with an extra tranquilizer? Sistah in trouble for sure. LOL

No, it's not okay--BJ, I'm sorry didn't mean to jump in ahead. Just had to chat with Kim the exotic a minute--I don't see often enough.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

----sorry Janice---yes I've seen tshirt quilts at my quilting stores, great recycling idea there. No, repurpose.. that's it!!
I'm about to repurpose Jarrett Lee!!

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

60x80 what is that in feet? you and don's laps are tiny. Try 24"x24" and you both can be covered. LOL

Fostoria, OH(Zone 5a)

Sure, Deboral, be glad to send you the pattern. They make great lap quilts for kids in their team shirts. Once you put an iron on interfacing on the back of the T-shirt it doesn't wiggle anymore and you can work with the square, whatever size you decide on. After that it is much the same as any other quilt.
