Sprry, I have been a little down:(

I didn't have a red suit, but I did wear heels which always make me fell more GRRR..

So if I understand correctly, you all are sending quilts to a childrens hospital?? Is that right?? What can I do to help-doing for others always makes me fell better-maybe I can get some teddy bears at garage sales or what not, or can hlep purchase some fabric...

BJ-that has been worrying me too-I have a ton of co-op $ in my savings and am really worried about it and am thinking of taking it out and just keeping it in a jar here at home or something...

Stacey... it depends on what's wrong...
For anything neurological... I'd go to Parkland... it's a county hospital, but it's world renown for it's neurological dept... they're the one's that saved my son's life...
For Heart, Lungs, and Trauma... I'd go to Baylor.
Anything else is up for grabs...

As far as financial institutions go... FDIC should take care of us...
But, if you have investments... like Stocks, or bonds, or IRAs... you might want to call your investment firm and discuss it.

Well, kinda like how U of M is renowned for almost anything-I was just thinking if you had a hospital like that you could see a gastrointerologist there-you can come see me and go to U of M:) Only 45 mins away:)

My 401K, DH's 401K and out stocks are with 3 seperate companies so that hopefully if we get the big shaftola it will only be from 1 and not all 3...


Cindy-go to My tools, manage freinds and groups, name your group (mine is swaps), then add each member...then go to compose mail and instead of typing a name, click on the group name that should appear and voila-blast:)

Actually, Jaye... The Cancer Institute of Texas has them beat, hands down. MD Anderson used to be the best... but CIT has surpassed them now.

I will look into that soon, Stacey... I'm researching now what hospital to deal with for "whatever" it is.

LK... I don't have an upset stomach... the only time I get an tummy ache is following one of the really bad pains that I can't get under control soon enough. It's spasms, like in a muscle just below my ribs... it's like a leg cramp, but goes all up under my ribs around to my back muscles. Starts out like little electrical pulses, the small spasms about 2" below my sternum... if I can catch it then with a half a pain pill... I'm usually ok... but if I wait too long, it gets excruciating. AND it only happens after I eat... but not everytime I eat...
I have never had any heartburn, indigestion, or nausea with an attack (except, like I said, after a sever attack).

I have Diabetic Neurapathy in my feet and sometimes face, and am taking Lyrica. Unexpected sharp pains like electrical jolts!!
So sorry BJ.. I know you're not diabetic, so that IS serious.

I'm going to be MIA for awhile. Rick's daughter is coming today and I have to get my stuff out of her room. That's where I keep mailing boxes and anything else that I don't have room for in my room...............I really don't enjoy these visits as she is LOUD, lazy, smart mouth, never stops eating from the time she walks in the door, does not clean up her messes, calls her father names, she has no respect at all. She's 19, ADHD and bipolar..................so I will TTYL :(

Hmmm... sounds like Don's daughter used to be... till I came along and set some ground rules about how she was to act when she was in MY house... she doesn't visit much anymore, but when she does... she's very respectful.

Oh Tink, how good to see you post!! The children's quilt idea was being "kicked" around but tabled until after January 1st. Have done some research already and may have to reconsider what we do or how. Will explain after I have information in greater detail but right now I am still looking. Don't worry, we will let you know.

Awhile back she sorta moved in it lasted a week, because I told Rick I was not going to put with it. All she did was, sleep till noon then flopped down on the sofa and watched tv and eat, left dirty glasses and plates on the end tables. So I told Rick either she goes or I go.............I guess you know who went LOL............Heading for hot tub and gotta get busy

Wow allot to read in here...LOL Kimmy always tells me to stop in so here I am.. I always say I am coming in here on a daily basis but it never seems to come about... I love to read about all that is going on in each of your lifes... I am sorry you are not feeling well BJ and I am hoping you feel much better soon....
I am getting excited as I am going to my first AV show next weekend and it is going to be allot of fun... It will be nice also to get away form home for the one night and day... Seems like it never slows down here... All boys are moved out but never seems to be an empty house...LOL I am not complaining well OK just a little but I do enjoy the boys.. Well all 4 of them are really men but they will always be my boys...LOL
I got one of the group dmails today and I am going to try to learn how to do that...
I am so glad Kimmy is going to get some much needed rest here soon coming up... I worry about her and those stupid trucks running her over...

Cindy-does she think those things walk themselves over to the sink-I would take them and start putting them all on her bed-and I would unplug the TV and tell her it's broken-she is too darn old to be that lazy-I understand she has some issues, but that does NOT excuse her bahavior-that is why they hyave meds for those kinds of things.....
