Deborah there was a movie "The Bucket List". Great but a little sad movie about two men who were gravely ill and what they wanted to do before "kicking the bucket" Hence: my "bucket list". I do have a book, once again will have to locate it, on doing t-shirt quilts. Add to my search list now.

BJ, that is larger than a lap quilt but nothing wrong with that. I personally like the size.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Janice, did the instructor mention anything about preshrinking the interfacing? Used to have to do that by soaking in lukewarm water, putting in a towel and sort of wringing but not wringing it out. Purpose is to have it not shrink once the quilt is washed as the shirts have already been washed most likely several times. Curious if they still advise doing that?

Fostoria, OH(Zone 5a)

Well, BJ, that is 5 ft. x 6.6 ft, so you judge if that is too big.
I keep forgeting how big a single, double, queen size bed quilt is but there are tables on the web to look it up.

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

OH, Jack Nicholson, right?

Janice I'd be tickled to get the pattern. I've got shirts all the way back to when my boys were in kindergarden with tee ball all the way to college game shirts.

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

LOL Deborah... Don may be skinny, but with his long legs, and the way he likes to cover, he'll need every inch of 80" long... as for me... I just like to cuddle a blanket when I watch TV.... any size blanket.

Thanks, Marion... cause... it's kinda too late now... I sort of lost count when I was cutting.

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Well, 5' by 6.5' is a good size, right?

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

As I said above, I like the lap quilts to be bigger than the normally stated sizes. I like big, roomy!!!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

I would think so--how do you feel about the size?

Fostoria, OH(Zone 5a)

No, Marion, not that kind of interfacing. This has a sticky side and a cloth side and is woven; you put the sticky side on the back of the t-shirt and iron it on (with heat). That keeps your t-shirt stability and keeps it from stretching while you work on the quilt.

Can I have some pie?

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

I like them big too...
That's the problem with the store bought ones we have now...they're too small... and I can't cover my feet and my chest at the same time... I wanted it bigger.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

BJ, that's the size of my Double Lap Quilt!! Kel is soo big, I want it big enough to smother him in it!!!
Remember that log cabin quilt.. here it is again.

My cousin that you sent the persimmons too.She made a quilt out of her daghters baseball jerseys. I'll have to email her and get the pix

Fostoria, OH(Zone 5a)

Off to have dinner. All this quilting and food talk makes me hungry.
See you later.

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Alrighty then... that's the size it's gonna be... it's gonna be just right for Don, and IF I ever get to use it... it'll wrap all around my feet... and I can scrunch it up around my ears... cool.

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

Janice when you get through with dinner, tell me more about the name of that coth sticky stuff you were telling Marion about. Like Staceypoo says, Im' confuddled.

Cindy, yes!!!! tell here to send you a picture!!!!

Back again…..had to run Laura to the store she wants to make a cheese cake for her DH…tomorrow is his birthday/

Mom and I make a lot of cards so get most of our paper in full reams (250 sheets per color) at PaperZone…..smaller amounts we get at the stamp stores, JoAnns or Michaels. No, most of my paper cutters either have a roller or sliding type blade like they use for scrapbooking. When I get some time I will add a bunch of cards to my Picasa album and post it so you can see some of the stuff we do.

Sounds like I should just ignore the ball games from what I’m hearing….

Depends on how many laps ya want to cover BJ…

Jaye I have some spare Prozac?

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Me, Me. me, please.

Janice that is the type I was referring to. Fusible interfacing. Deborah, unless I have totally misunderstood Janice, Fusible interfacing is what you buy--the weight I think will be "featherweight" . Janice, what weight are you using?

Jaye, love the quilt--the colrs are super!!!

I have this visual of BJ covered to her "eyeballs" all cozy and warm!!!

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

Jay I love that quilt of yours!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Cindy, love the pie, you got any left?

LISTEN UP everyone. Cindy can not only do candles, and fish, and bake, but looky what I got today. It is a lovely frame with hand made little shrinkys to hold all my socks I got from everyone. I did not include the socks, because I wanted to show off the board, and all the hard work she put into it. I love this board so much, it is so pretty!!!
CIndy, thank you so much.
But there is more to follow, so don't go anywhere!

I'm cutting mitered corners... now, there is a trick to this, and I'll probably figure it out about the time I finish cutting... but, it ain't easy to be me right now.
