Got the two incubators hooked up and checking temp, I may get some eggs today to put in them, will do the small one 1st the Sportsman will hold about 300 eggs. I dont want to do that until spring. I have a Brower that will hold about 30 or so eggs. :).

No I would never beat this child, we talk first when he is misbehaving.

They closed co-ops all because of 1 or 2 bad co-ops....

Someone told me they closed co-ops a while back i was like ok they are still going on. I dont know, but that is so sad, maybe they would let those that have had successful co-ops to do them again.

Well, ladies... I have washed my fat quarters from the swap... and I'm ironing them now... plan to have my quilt cut out by this evening... and start sewing on it tomorrow... I know exactly the pattern I'm going to use, and it's all playing out in my head... now, just hope it looks as good in reality as it does in my imagination...

I think the fabric was already washed if you got the ones we sent out. I am sure they were.

I am about to start on my wreath swap-it is raining all weekedn, so my plans are laubdry, trades, crafting, and job hunting-maybe a nap or 2;)

I always say I am coming back and never get here but after today I am going to make it a point to do so... I want to be a sistah again...LOL Now I am not talking bad about the co-ops but I have been in two that what I ordered I did not get what I was suppose to... a few others I got everything I ordered... So I think it is a chance you take one way or the other... Come on ladies please talk me out of it as I don't want to do house work today... I will share with you later my Makers Mark if you do...
My life and secrets huh? There is not enough time in the day or years for that matter to tell you all the stuff that goes on here...LOL 4 sons and GC. keep a person busy... I was looking forward to empty nest but it has not come yet..LOL

I want the nap part.... Is very pretty here today... Hubby is working and only so far one son is here and he leaves to go back to his place today.. Then he is off to W. Virginia for the week.... Oh Kimmy Mike is going to your state also in Dec I believe so I will tell you more as time gets closer.... I don't want to do house work to catch the rabbits and what else is floating around the house...LOLOL

I know there were a couple of crappy ones, but I try to run good co-ops and so do several others, maybe if they gave someone new 1 chance to run one, and then only allowed successful peeps to run them-I don't know, but I can tell you I put the co-ops on my cover letter-I think it exemplifies my organizational skills....

I say it is OK to fart around today-HAVE AT IT!!!

Marion, I should have "happy feet" for the new year, so some time in the future, we will have to plan a trip to Florida, and put our feet in the sand!!! Anyone else care to join us?
I don't think that is fair, that they cancel all co-op, because of one or 2 bad apples. That sucks!

Don't think they're closing the co-ops Stacey :*( Just repeating their warnings again.. join at our own risks. I had saved a bundle through co-ops. But people can get vicious when it comes to money.

When I offered MD Anderson as the choice for cancer, I misunderstood you niece. Thinking you might have friends that want to move to Texas for med. issues... Got to get my brains unfogged!!!

My fabrics have not been pre washed. I never wash them, until it is time to use them.
I have recieved a few names and numbers, and have replied to those that sent me thier name.

I agree that because a few bad apples they should not be able to close the co-ops as some people run them very good and you do get what you ordered... Dragonfly is a good one to co op with... She is very organized and she runs a tight ship...LOL
I want to put my feet in the sand also...Well ok maybe not the sand as I am not a beach person but would love to visit... Maybe one day Kimmy will drive me there as I have no sence of direction... except put me on a plane... then I do ok...LOL

Don't come to Del Rio, for ANY health care. it sucks! That is why I travel 3 hours to San Antonio, or San Angelo! My family physian wrote an artilce in the paper a few months ago, statinh how bad the hosptital is, so you know it is bad when the Doc. says so. Too many people sit in the hospital for days with out any meds, or treatment! Shortage of nurses, because of lack of respect, and demanding 24 hour shifts...

Marion's organizing a charity drive for kids in hospitals. Probably we're able to do a few kiddy quilts... simple designs... and for those that don't sew, like Stacey suggested.. maybe collect some stuffed toys.
Marion I'm sure will ink out the details, and we'll be doing it after the holidays, Susan.

Oh thanks for the info... I can do the stuffed toy and if someone wanted to make the square I could get some fabric but I tried quilting once and thats all she wrote...LOL I am a pretty crafty person but forget about quilting...LOL

No, Tia Tina... not those... the ones I swapped with Debra... finally got it all figured out in my head how to do this one... and had some matching yardage to put with it already... so, here I go.
LK, I'm going to use the "window pane" (I think it's called) pattern... 4" block with a strip on two sides to make it a 6" block... if you use the right combo of light and dark... when they're all put together, they look like a bunch of window panes. Really pretty.

BTW, Jaye... guess where Don's going in a couple weeks???? Mind if I fly out with him?

My first quilt will be from the quilt book Jaye gave me. Quilt in a day using the log cabin pattern. Doesn't seem too hard. Y'all should see the bear paw quilt that Larry's great granmother quilted back in the early 1900's. It's so pretty. She used dark colors.

BTW, Tia Tina... haven't got your FQ yet... probably in today's mail, though.

OH LK, those are pretty. OH you gals now you've got me wanting to make quilts. My cousin made one with old jeans. It was cool, but very heavy lol. HMM I must ask her where it is. She also said come Jan she will be joining us. She's busy making Christmas presents. Everybody gets home made from her nothing is store bought. I'm going to be spending two or three weeks with her come June. I think we are going to make stained glass stepping stones.
