Raising a hand high for the Baileys!!!
۞ Sweet Interruptions ۞ 52
I'll join you LK, I already have mine in a cup of coffee. 4 batchs of candles made, now my feet hurt from being on them all day time to go ice them, drink my coffee and listen to Rick's day at work so ...........................TTYL in the morning
Hey, Jaye (hollers over) your fat quarters are in the mail. And guess what they are packed in...your box, of course. I beleive in recycling. even the guy at the postoffice was happy.
Yes, black and white quilt. Now that I have your attention, ladies...
what are we gonna do? Should we pick one pattern and then all make blocks for each other or each pick a pattern, like Oct., and do it in black and white. Each person can pick their third color of choice: rec, blue, green, whatever. How does that sound?
I know, I know..we all need to wait until after Christmas to do this but I have never been the patient type. Especially since Jaye alread gave me some great black and whites in my fat quarters.
Let me know your pleasure and I will gladly host this one (will be my first, but Stacey will give me hints).
Wowsie!!!!
I like that idea Janice. How about each of us pick a pattern we are comfortable with and sew the same for the rest! When combined with others' they will make great sampler quilts...
Why don't the P.O deliver on Sundays!!

How insensitive of me! Was gonna tell LK, I'm glad we didn't have to bail her out, but got excited over Janice's tempting suggestion!
Rest well Cindy!
And what do you mean by having to beat up Punk Boy, Tina-Tia?
It's early I know, 8.30 here. But I didn't have enough sleep for the past few nights, and no afternoon naps.
Stacey, things will get better.
Good nite BSF!!
I haven't read all that I've missed. Who's not feeling well. Staceypoo did you wear Red to work? Was the atmosphere better today at work?
Jaye, what's BSF?
Marion, I planted more native shade plants. Mayapples. Want some? I'll be glad to share if anyone looks them up to see if they grow in your zone. It's another one of those native US plants that are slowing losing their habitat to development.
Night Jaye, hope you get some sleep tonight....
Cindy, I need to go to your website and get my order together. Just getting slower, much slower these days!! Festival starting really need my attention!! I used to have some of the spray for the bed but used it all up--hubby loved that scent. Just haven't replaced it so far. Need to show your site to my daughter.
Linda Kay, great news!! No ticket--LOL. Good news about the doctor also and the sale. Nothing beats a sale--BTW, keep your eye open for the friendly postman and don't blame me for any trouble you may or may not get into. Okay?
Trisha, I love 15 bean soup. Doing the one with ham or chicken? Doesn't matter, we love both of them and I do fix that quite a bit when it cools down some here in the south. Gives me an idea for the weekend. We reallty went gourmet tonight and had our once every 6 months turkey dogs with cold slaw. Baileys sounds really, really good. The recipe looks fantastic--might have to try it.
Tia, Tina, Whatever isn't it funny I used to hate driving but since I had to start doing all the driving in about 2002 it doesn't bother me anymore. Yes, if traffic isn't really heavy it is relaxing. I am glad you could but some stress aside BUT no beating on our adopted grandson. Name??? Not Punk Boy. Boy your dinner sure sounded good. I love pancakes and sausage for dinner--not so much for breakfast.
Where is Laura? BJ, take care of yourself, of course I know you will but I still worry.
Jaye, rest well. Need all the strength if we take on yet another project!!
Janice, there were several on the quilting site who have mentioned in the past about wanting to do a B&W quilt. I would definitely join in if you hostess. Think about it and see what happens. Started an enabler box titled Janice--so give me some time and you too can have a recycled package.
Tinky, how are you doing? Please check in and let us know you are okay dear niece. Been thinking about you all day.
I am signing off early tonight also. Must go to bed earlier than I usually do as son is supposed to be here at early dawn to help with some much needed work I have.
Deborah, thanks sistah but for now I need to take care of what I have planted as the festival is starting to creep into my time. Slacks up about the middle of January until the middle of March. I have heard of Mayapples before. Hummm, now where and why?
I really love the fat quarters and will have yours together soon. Promise. Went and stocked up on boxes today at the PO. Trying to regroup and get organized again-still!!
Laura has been without internet for a few days, she borrowed my aircard to get Cedric's pictures posted. They have internet now, but don't have the wireless hooked up yet so she has to catch a space when isn't involved with kids etc. and hope that her DH isn't on the computer during that time. She should hopefully be back up to speed soon.
I've been missing Laura post in the evening too.
She is trying to get caught up with all the threads she has missed....I told her she should just get on where we are now and go back and catch up later.
O.K you enablers. I'll do the black and white quilt blocks. Do we wait until the first of the year? I know there are some other swaps that are scheduled for then but they are regular ones, not quilt blocks .
Maybe take names now (or after Thanksgiving) but blocks not due until mid January?
Feedback, sistahs! and I will put it on the quilting site when we decide timing.
You are the hostess and you can make the decisions!! ROFLOL Seriously, how about the end of January--that way I will be through the worst of the vendor situation. Will go with the majority. Thanks Janice.
Why don't you post an interest thread on the quilting thread to see who is interested and their feedback?
I haven't caught up on, or even read, SI, but mom says you gals were asking about why I hadn't been on. Just a bunch of little things. I haven't had the kids in the morning the last several days, so I have just gotten up, gotten DSD ready for school and tried not to wake up in the process. DH had Wed. and most of Thurs. off and I don't get on much when he has days off, either he's using the computer or we're doing something else. Then when I did get on last night the computer was doing odd things and I realized I didn't have back-up files, so I spent last night backing up my important files.
I don't have a good relationship with Nov. Our settlement finally came through and we should have the money by Wed. next week, but for some reason that depressed me as much as two weeks ago when it was pushed back, again. I think it's that I realized that while the money is really nice, we can't do a quarter of what we need or want to do with it.
Well, DH is home and I'm going to go watch NCIS with him. Talk to you tomorrow.
Good morning. Punk Boy is Dylan Ryan, Oh I wasnt beating on him I was tickling him.
Good Morning... I kinda pooped out on here yesterday...
Spent most of the day in bed, then slept all night... but woke up at 4am.
Woke up this morning to find out that our bank was "shut down" by the regulators as of 7pm last night. Another bank has taken over, and Don and I have been on the phone with each other since about 4:30 trying to figure out if we have access to our money, and if our bill pay is going to go on schedule. So far, as far as we can tell, it looks like we're ok... but we'll see what happens.
We really didn't think this would happen to our bank since it's not one of those banks that get into "mortgage" banking... but I guess the economy is effecting them all.
Guess I'll have another cup of coffee... have a fresh pot brewing for all of you sleepy heads when you get up.
morning cuz, the bank thing ounds scary
Mornin'
Yes, it does.
hope everything works out for you. how you feeling
Oh my goodness, Hope all works out with your bank. Scares me about my bank also.
Feeling ok so far, but I haven't eaten anything yet... guess I better do that soon, since I didn't eat much yesterday... feeling a bit light headed right now.
Yep, Tia Tina... guess none of them are safe these days...
cuz you gotta eat, even f it's tea and toast
I know... and I'm not eating much at a time... but I'm trying to eat more often... I just dread the pain that follows it... but I have to eat something before I can take the antibiotics he's given me.
I think it's probably the meds that kicked my butt yesterday, along with the pain pill I had to take so early in the morning ... we'll see what happens today.
i hope yu feel better soon.
Thank you Cuz... I wuv you.
i wuvs you too cuz.
How are you feeling? Are you rested up, and over your bout of the virus you had last weekend?
i'm ok, just tired, i got so much to do
I do too... I just have a case of the "I don't want toos"...
guess I better go make me some toast ... bbl.
Morning All,
Man BJ, that sucks that you're in so much pain :(
Marion, for some reason my website is down, I'm working on getting it back. I have new things to add.
Deborah, are you still there? Remember when we were talking about Warner Robins? Do you know of a A & J Cake Shop? That is Rick's Mom's business. I guess her cakes are pretty popular, she also teachs cake decorating.
Kathy, I think you are getting something in the mail today......................
what cindy! spill it! don't keep me in suspense
I sent you a box of something, it will keep you busy for days and days and days and..........................LOL, I just hope you'll enjoy it, if not just toss in the fire, or garbage
i love everything from my sistah's
now i'm too excited to do anything
Good morning Sistahs and nieces.
Late coffee.. but fresh pot brewing..
BSF-- Best Sistahs Forever, Deborah. Debra coined that phrase and that's what we are!
Great to see you back Laura. Now think only happy thoughts. Though it may be little, at least it will help you somewhat.
Thanks Trisha. I snored through the night. Didn't hear it, but that's what Kel said :D
BJ, I agree with Sis. You must try to eat a little, especially when you're on meds. Hopefully no more pain after you eat.
I don't like getting shots and pricked constantly. My fingers are all sore but they are necessary for me to get well.
That's a relief Tina-Tia, you're not taking your stress out on Punk Boy. You'd be seeing granmas marching up to Norman, OK!!!!
Janice, I'm with Marion. Preferably after January. But I'll sign up for sure.. post the link here when and where you decide the swap should be. Like you I can't wait, but I'm sure you'd be getting more than a dozen enthusiasts!
Oooh a surprise for Sis Kathy.. now you know Cindy she'd be waiting at her mailbox even though the mail doesn't run tomorrow!! Lol!!
Sistahs, I hope Marion doesn't mind if I post it here.
Please pray for her niece who has a very rare illness. I shan't go into details, I'll let Marion do that if she wants to. Please pray for wisdom for the doctors who are treating her, and prop her up with your good vibes.
LOL, Well I just hope you will enjoy it.....What time does your mail come?
mail comes around 2. can't wait that long
