Joyce why do you lurk? We want to chat with you dear!!! How is the penny jar coming? March will be here before you know it!!!!!

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Oh Marion....it'll be a hard candy Christmas....can't count on anything for March yet!

It's that 4 letter word that keeps me lurking and not chatting.... :O(

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Dinner did sit well last night, Joyce... thanks...

What four letter word would that be that keeps you from chatting? Doesn't the boss like to hear the rat a tat tat of your keyboard?

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

B>O>S>S> four letter word, Joyce, right?

Waving as I head outside.

Have a safe trip Linda K. Hope the doctor says thumbs up on your foot. Have a ball shopping.

Hey Marion, BJ, Cindy it was good to hear your voice, sweetie, Hey Joyce, Kathy it will take more than 30 minutes to go to all those places.

Harmony, Clemen, Tina in MB, Donna in Douglas. Yall got fingers, use them to type!

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

You tell 'em Deborah, LOL

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Good mawnin' sistahs and nieces!
Trisha, I do plain yoghurt with a dollop of home made sugar free preserves. Good source of acidophyllis (sp*). Now to find a food group that will let me sleep uninterrupted all night :*(
LK, be safe on the road. Hope all goes well at the doctor's.
Sis, my dust bunnies overpopulate themselves. Ran out of names ;)
Phyllis, we miss your chatter! It seems you're kept pretty busy since the promotion. DE-STRESS!!!
Tina-Tia... take it e-z today. You need to make you a punching bag or just HOLLER somewhere to release all that pent up frustrations!
Deborah is away from her machine!! Oh boy!! She must have finished her first sewing project! Pictures please....
Yah Marion, I just can't resist good sales. Kits at that price are hard to beat! I hope the fabrics they chose will please my critical eye!
Kel thinks you all sistahs are awesome -- he knows it's just not idle chatter here but to do something for kids -- that pleases him too. So, you all know what that means.. I get extra bucks for fabrics :D
Good Lord Cindy.. Ricky should be doing ALL the housework and let you craft. That's considered a job if it's bringing in income right? Hmm.. orange blossom and lemon grass.. how sweet the scent!!
Yah Don, feel free to give us your input.. ideas.. donations ... (made payable to BJ, of course)
Good to read you're able to hold your food down BJ. Hope the meds will put you on the road to recovery.
Joyce, it's tough times everywhere. Last year we got bicycles and helmets for some SA kids. This year, we'll be more frugal, to stretch the dollar.

Yah, Donna.. you got fingers.. type!!! And we don't get to see Ann Marie here neither.

Laura we miss you gal!! Hope you don't have the 'crud'.

Hi Janice, Audrey, Kimmy, Kim the exotic, Tina in MB, Cathy and Harmony... waving here.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Oh I forgot about THAT four letter word!! Joyce, you and Tinky (Stacey)!!! Well chat when you can okay?

Do understand about the hard candy Christmas. My Mom and Sister and I have decided not exchange any gifts this year as all of us pretty much decides we want something we save and get it. Talked with son, DIL and daughter and all of us have decided it is for the girls--not us. Not going overboard either. They just way, way to much and I had rather do things for all during the year. So at long last it is back where it should be the real meanings of the holiday and family!!! Why if I manage to convince my dust bunnies to move their lairs to another locale I might even have DIL's family over this year. Don't remember it last time. Loing story another time maybe--then maybe not!!

Jaye, so far Iknock on wood) I have not been disappointed in any of the fabrics I have ordered through any of the sites I have sent into about. Of course, that could change!!

Cindy, waving really hard--cranberry,lavendar and lemongrass!!! Oh my those are the absolute best--well, I think they are anyways. Get busy gal--er Sistah, get some made quickly need to order!!!!!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Cindy, we use lemon grass in a lot of our Asian dishes, but my late maternal granma would boil a huge bunch of the stalks just to scent the house. She said it relieved her headaches.

Fostoria, OH(Zone 5a)

Many of you wanted the recipe for Bailey's that Kim sent me so here it is.

10-12 oz Vodka
5 T. Chocolate Syrup
3 Beaten Eggs
1 Pint whipping Cream
1 Can Eagle Brand Condensed Milk
1/2 t Vanilla
1/2 t Coconut Extract

Mix together and refrigerate. Serve with coffee.

I'm not a coffee drinker so haven't tried it yet, but let me know how it is.

Cindy, some of those candle scents sound wounderful. I am a really cranberry freak so that sounded great; would love to smell some of those. Wille have to use my imagination. Would you beleive I love candles but rarely light them; I love the smell and if I light them they melt and are gone so I just keep the top off and smell them a lot. LOL (Isn't that silly?)

Fostoria, OH(Zone 5a)

It has taken me all this week to catch up with you chatty cathy's here. Now I really need to catch up here at home. Bulbs to still put in the ground and fat quarters to send. I want to get things in the mail today.
Clean, what is that? Since I met y'all I can't remember when I had a clean house or a tidy office. Now just wallowing in good old FUN!

(Audrey) Dyersburg, TN(Zone 7a)

Oooooh! That receipe sounds delish! Joycie, I lurk, too! BJ, and ALL. I like getting phone calls, too! I don't have but 300 min. on my cell phone, but I never use them all, anyway! But I don't have to many of your numbers!

Donna in Douglas, GA(Zone 8b)

Good afternoon sistahs, you all have a wonderful day!

Busy here with carpenters hoping to start putting the finish touches on bathroom next week. My house is a mess from all the Redo, oh well this to shall pass!

Gotta do lunch for DH, yall have a good one!

Oh how I need energy or a nice long nap!!

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

hey sistah donna! don't run away yet

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Too late Sis. She's fast that Donna!
And seeeeeeeeeees.. anymore of that chocolate fudge cake left? Somehow having Special K for breakfast makes me hungry for one :(

I'm trying real hard Deborah. I hear you pray!!

(Phyllis) Flint,, TX(Zone 7b)

I wouldn't say I m busy busy its more I am still on the bus til next week with the new driver and today is my Friday to clean an apartment so my morning was full. Now I sit in the office to answer the phone if it rings over the lunch time for the rest of the office staff....then I'll go out to ride with the new driver at 2:30.

some days the phone rings and some days it is quiet and would be boring without the lap top

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

How lucky you are Phyllis, able to entertain yourself online :D

Fostoria, OH(Zone 5a)

Thought I would share some pictures of my garden for those of you who are far enough south not to get FALL. Was out working today and it was 80 degrees, sun out and cloudless blue skies. And they say mild snow by tomorrow? No way!
This is my garden with my birdfeeder swap front and center.
And no, the iris is not a fall blooming nor a reblooming; it just thinks it is Spring.

Fostoria, OH(Zone 5a)

Now THIS is what my office looks like now that you all have corrupted me. Don't you all feel sorry for me? Tears, please..

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Janice, your garden is beautiful. Is that a maple in the back? I had a Japanese maple, left it at my mom's, I think she killed it by not watering very often. She wonders why her plants don't grow like mine. I told her magic Mom WATER WATER, they get thirsty too.And your office is not even cluttered like my craft room. I have to use spare bedroom to put things just so I can move around in my craft room.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Oh my!! What beautiful foliage Janice. I can stare at the maple's beauty all day!!
Boohooo... tears not for you, but for me! Yours is at least organized.. mine looked the Tornado world had ran a special through here!!

Well Cindy, as long as we have the floor Kel says, at least we have a place to sleep on :D

(Phyllis) Flint,, TX(Zone 7b)

lovely garden I have paper white narcissus blooming right now too they are confused here too, but love the smell so not a problem

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Oh shoot.. Cindy, that reminds me.. I have to go water those outside now... been warm the whole week!!

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Love that Japanese Maple. Do you know what cultivar that is?

You're lucky with the sun and warmth. Cloudy and drizzling here ALL day today. Only in the 60s, but tomorrow will be worse!

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Nice and sunny here low 70's, tomorrow rain, then rest of week high 60's got to finish planting.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Where are the other sistahs? Outside working? I know Deborah is, where's BJ?

Fostoria, OH(Zone 5a)

Yes, it's a Japanese maple and no, I don't know the cultivar. I have a large lilac (I didn't plant THIS one) that keeps trying to vie for sun with the maple. Have to really cut it back so the maple can get what it needs.
I have a number of gardens, although my house and land are small. The garden you see is enclosed by a 6 ft. privacy fence and my living room and ofc. windows look onto it. My back yard is for the dog but does have lots of shade plants along the fence. Very tradional plantings. Then there is the wildflower garden; a 3 ft. wide strip along my drive (about 10 ft.) anchored by a Rose of Sharon on one end and a butterfly bush on the other. Then there is the front yard which has a curved garden bed anchored at one end by an 80 yr. old hickory tree. So you see I pack a lot into a little space. 95% are perennials so once they are in they just grow, live long and prosper.

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Where did everyone go?????

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Mornin’ everyone……..sitting out here in the parking lot in the rain…good time to catch up! DS called at 9:30….his SO had a 10:00 Therapist Appt. and the battery is dead on their car!!!! MOM Taxi to the rescue, if he provides the gas…lol…..don’t mind too much…they have helped her a lot and we DO NOT want her missing an appointment…..she is a really sweet kid when things are working right….and he loves her…I guess that is the important part.

BJ so glad you are feeling better today…....lol…!!!

Cindy how great!!! I need to call and bother Miss Deborah one of the days…..don’t know if she is ready for that or not.

We are not quilters so will have to figure out what Laura and I can do…….

I remember it well Cindy……there was a big hill up the road from my aunt and uncles house they would give me a push….loose gravel is not good to learn how to ride on!!

LK take care…drive safe….

Change of location….

Had to run the kids out to the college and leave them to do some school stuff…on the way home got past the last exit before the one where I get off and traffic came to a halt…they had another wreck on the curve so got to inch along there for half an hour……..back home in time to catch a bit of the TV News Conference and have to leave again in about 15 minutes.

OH that recipe sounds gooood!!!!!! Will have to try it.

And a hello and good bye to all of you I missed this time….hopefully I’ll catch up later today gotta go pick up Bill for lunch…..

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

To run errands here!! Back and so tired of being away from the house. I am getting to be a real homeboady lately. Sorry ladies but I think it is about 80 or so here! Yeap having to water as they keep saying rain but so far none. Where is the storm going?

Janice lovely pictures!!! I love the maple. I have one (don't know the name) but it just doesn't get that burgundy red. Shucks!!

Hi Cindy, I am here for a while then off to do something else.

2 packages went into the mail today--nope no wreath from me swap buddy whoever you may be. Just cleaning out my stash of quilting magazines so Linda Kay and Debra won't run out of reading materials. Watch, Debra is going to call me an "enabler" again and I am just trying to be helpful and help do my part recycling!!!

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Well, Ladies... I woke up without pain this morning, and enjoyed it while it lasted... but then it came back, and I had to medicate... left me groggy... and I went back to bed. So, didn't get the house cleaned... and didn't get to the post office.
I'm so tired of this "mystery" thing, what ever it is, running my life.

Sorry... I don't mean to be a party pooper... I'll just be quiet now.

Fostoria, OH(Zone 5a)

Hey, Marion, you can always recycle someof those mags this way. Always looking for new ideas.

(Audrey) Dyersburg, TN(Zone 7a)

BJ, I'm so sorry you're having so much trouble! Are you taking anything for stomach acid? If you get the right one, it'll help. Some work betther than others. I take Protonix now, it works great for me!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Janice, will happily add your name to the recycling list!!! What pattern have you chosen for your B&W fabrics? You and Jaye have me thinking in those colors now--shame on you both!!

BJ so sorry to hear about this afternoon. Bummer!!!! Most important thing is to get relief from the pain. We will be here waiting and keeping your seat warm when you feel like sitting and chatting.

Hi Audrey.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Trisha, you need to start a taxi service business!!

Aww BJ, rant away if that will make you feel better. Is it spasms that you get? Poor you...

Come on Marion, it will be fun for us to do a B/W quilt! There are some jewel batiks out there that will make them sparkle! I know, we all could do a wall hanging with B/W....

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Okay Jaye YOU are the enabler now!!! I have had a B&W idea with a touch of red--ordinary I know--in the back of my mind. Just moved a few inches closer to the front since you and Janice have been chatting.

Deborah, what did you do in the yard today? Planting what? Tell us please.

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Hi Marion, Janice, Audrey !
BJ sorry....we need to get you over this!!

Jaye.....I am running a taxi service but the clients aren't payin' very well.....as well as other issues right now.....when I get in one of these downer moods I cook, so if Kel and Stacey are around everyone better look out cause I just put on a pot of 15 Bean Soup......and I may go cut out a Santa Robe.....I keep putting it off..........because THEN I will have to sew it together!!!

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

15 beans, I didn't know there were that many beans. Where has everyone been today? I made 2 batchs and starting on 3 batch of candles. None of the scents you like Marion, although I do have some Lavender candles made, as that is my fav too. Shampoo & condictioner, body wash, body splash, line spray I spray my pillow every night before I go to bed helps me relax and when I change the sheets I spray the whole bed. Working on BJ's order, then Stacey's if she answers my email. Well Rick is NOT getting laid off YIPPEEE!!!! 3 weeks of 24/7 with him, I'll lock myself in my craftroom lol

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

That's good news Cindy!! We need more good news like that.. I've already read of DGers not able to renew their subscriptions.
15 Beans!!!!! You're singing Kel's favorite song Trisha! Beans, beans the magical food.. It's stew for us tonight. Yep. I cooked!!
I need to continue with the Santa.. maybe tomorrow.
Well Marion, that's what Kel wants, ruby red in the B/W. I'd like to add emerald green or turquoise for a future wall hanging. Come on sistahs, ENABLE me... suggest some patterns.

(Tia) Norman, OK(Zone 7a)

My goodness chatty today, I went for a drive at 7 am and got back about 3ish.. It was a very pretty drive, I took the long way, and got 2 incubators and a brooder. It was a very very relaxing drive/trip. Sometimes I need to talk myself thru things and THIS was very very Therapeutic. I feel so much better especially after I got to beat on Punk boy. He he eh yea right I got to tickle him.

We had pancakes sausage and syrup for dinner, I wore the syrup.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Hello BSF!!! I am back home, and had a great day. All is well at the foot Dr., and am all set to have the other foot fixed on 21 Nov!!! I also found a lot of good finds at Hobby Lobby. 50 - 66% off everything!!! And no tickets in the Mustang! Yipee!!
