(Kim) Philadelphi, PA(Zone 6a)

Hi Clemen! These are the brugs that I will cut and send out...they are in the ground and grew really well!! I will take big cuttings for me and pop them in a bucket for the winter. I wonder if they might come back from the roots come spring...

Nassau County, NY(Zone 7a)

I assume you will mulch them really well. I wish you good luck with them!

Did stop at a tiny comminity center garage sale that was on the way home. Didn't get much, a book and avideo but man oh man the bakery lady was there and bought this loaf of banana nut bread with pinaplle chunks in it, so slices for everybody and fresh coffee a round.

Morning everyone! Welcome kwanjin! What is your name again? I've been busy working on my Christmas ornaments for a day or so....Please look over the list of swappees at the top of the thread before you finish them as a couple of people have dropped out so you won't need as many as originally thought.

Hope you all are having a wonderful Saturday! I am all caught up on yard and house work so I get to be lazy bones today. I am almost finished working up the cookbook for you guys so you should have it soon ^_^

Anjl sweet girl you will always have a home here, with this group, no matter what our name is. We love you......I hope you won't let this get you down again. Where has Melissa been lately? Haven't seen her around.

Bonnie Boo hello to you! Where are you today? Becky I'd better hear from you girl, need my Becky Boo fix, LOL! To everyone else, Love you all and thinking of you too!

Morning BAs: If the sun soon does not shine I am going to become a mushroom or slime or something. This rotten weather started out as a N'oreaster days ago and this is the fourth day of rain. My greenhouse needs sunshine big time. The temp is mild, but it is so wet and nasty out there I could cry. I get crazy without sunshine.

Hope you are all feeling well today. For those who did not sleep well, I will pray you all can take a little nap today. I was up early as usual, I walk my dog every morning all over the farm. It takes nearly 30 minutes because we stop and chat with the barn cats and he loves to chase the bunnies in the Christmas Tree Fields. But, this morning was not a good morning. He got into some fox urine and I did not know it until we got back into the house and that stuff smells like skunk...on my,.....I had to give him a bath and he was not a happy pupper. He smells good now and I am still trying to get him dry. He will not tolerate a dryer so we just wait until he dries normally. I even turned the heat up so he does not catch cold. With his pancreas problem, I do not want him to get sick from being wet.

I was going to work on Christmas Store stuff today, but I am tired. I did several designs yesterday but I still have about a dozen more artificial ones to do. Then I will be ready to start on the fresh pine ones by the 21st.of November. I do not like to make too many live ones ahead of time or they will not last until Christmas.

Have a wonderful weekend and stay well. Welcome to all the new BAs.

(Kim) Philadelphi, PA(Zone 6a)

Well here they are are...seems like I did not even make a dent in them lol!!! I have added a surprize named cutting for the 7 people that signed up for a starter pack ^_^

My name is Celia, Karen.

Baytown, TX(Zone 9b)

I don't think I stuck my foot in my mouth but up to the reader.

Did you all know the co-op forum is closed? There will be no more.

my post. Kind on the strong side. Post #5767027

Palestine, TX(Zone 8b)

Is this a Y? My Cherub pink has two new limbs that are symetrical and are forming leaves in the limbs as well as the tips. The other limbs aren't symetrical and only have one leaf. Is it possible. I need to know if I should celebrate.

Sandy2, I'm confused. I just went to the coop forum and nothing's changed. Also, could not find your post #. Did you mean just one coop closed? Probably, I am just very tired and confused. :)

Hello, everyone, just checking in. Great to see everyone coming in and checking on each other. I'll agree with the venison eaters, I love it. But DD still has her Bambi moments about it. We used to go deer hunting every year but haven't for the last five. Finding someplace safe to hunt became a problem.

If you need a laugh, please go to the photo contest, insects and look at the worm picture. Someone got a fantastic shot and I just could not help but laugh out loud. He's almost cute enough to keep. But, the one I found last night on my brugs in the garage was not cute at all. I still have not figured out how he climbed up to that shelf and found the only brug sitting on that one. So I have one that is going to be more of a standard than I had planned.

Kim, my goodness, that is a lot of cuttings. Way to go, lady! Got to go get some more potting soil, ran out again, so I can get some more things potted. This is the first year I've tried to winter over multiple plants and I keep taking cuttings and adding. This also could get addicting... Plus we are making plans for all kinds of wintersowing and Keith is going to do his veggies too. So come January, our back yard may look really strange with all of these bottles and containers sitting out there.

Louise, be sure and wave or call if you come through Okla on the way to Florida. Where in Florida exactly are you headed? As much as you like tropicals, that will be nice for you. (Hug)

Anjl, (Hugs) to you too. Don't let it get to you. I think things are just getting tightened up all over, so we will just wait and see. I should be sending you the ornament for the little tree on Monday. I hope we can make her feel a little better.

Karen, I need some new recipes. I haven't had any new lately. Been cooking in a rut. :)

Got some chores to do. Lov to all, Peg

South Coast, RI(Zone 6b)

Jeanne that looks like a Y to me, but hold the celebration until someone else confirms it. I’m just a newbie here.

(Karen) Frankston, TX(Zone 8a)

Heya Peg! I hope to finish the book soon sweetie. The Coop forum is most definately closed. They are allowing the ones already running to finish, but you cannot make any new threads and it will all be gone soon. Members can still buy or sell in the Marketplace or Classifieds.

Jeanne I askeered to guess too, LOL! Looks like a Y to me, but like Donna, I'm just a newbie. I sure hope it is honey. I have one 5 feet tall that hasn't Y'd yet!

Midwest City, OK(Zone 7b)

Jeanne, I'm with Donna, looks like it to me, too. You'd better get out there and look very careful in the middle of that Y because that is where your little itty bitty buds usually start and then you wait and wait and wait. I'll wait for one of our more experienced people to confirm, but that is what mine have looked like. It's exciting to go through. :))

(Becky) Colmesneil, TX(Zone 8b)

Hello everyone!!
I have missed breakfast, and now looks like I have missed lunch too..lol Had company just about all day so far, and I have a million things to do... just had to get on and read up and see what's going on...
Yes...I think the way I read it, not in a sticky or started by a new thread... that the coops are closed. The admin will allow the open coops to continue, but no new ones will be allowed. They revised the paragraphs talking about the coops, and that is where you will find the info
Karen... maybe we will be able to get together..lol... yeah I need a Karen fix too..lol
Peg... can't believe you are cooking in a rut... NOOO not you..lol... I hear you girl.. I am starting way too many cuttings too... well it's about the best kind of excitement I have these days
BJ... maybe the weather will brighten up soon... I understand on you puppy..lol... mine smelled like dead fish when we got them last night!! But I confess... I got the ol cologne out and sprayed the dickens out of them..lol... just too tired to care any further than that..lol
Jeanne... it's looking good to me too, but have to wait for some more that really knows what they are talking about..lol... I'll still say congrats... it's one step closer to the real deal!!
Kim... wow that looks like some good cuttings... NOW you talk about surprises...lol.. I'd have had to dmail you IF I'd known there was a surprise involved... can't stand it..lol BTW.. pretty pics!!
Celia.. soo nice to meet you!!... again...
Ella... mnnn that bread sounds wonderful!!
weese... bout time you came back home... and now ya'll are moving?? Are you all moving or just you 2 lovebirds?? LUK!!

Sandy2

We are trying to dial down the crazy, not pump up the volume!

(Cathy), MO

Hi everyone. I've been on the road all week and get back to see all kinds of stuff going on! I finally caught up to you and have this thread bookmarked. I was 2 behind!

Behind on everything!!! It'll take me all weekend to get back on track!

It doesn't really matter what forum the thread is in you guys. As long as we can all find it, we can talk just as well over here as on the other one.

And yes the Coop forum has been closed. I think there was a few that crossed the line and admin had to step in. Bummed out here!

(dana)Owensboro, KY(Zone 6a)

hi cat all the cuttings you sent in the newbie pack have all rooted and leafed out . thanks again . actually i just potted them up .
im still trying to decide on the orchid moss . all of those rooted in orchid moss. they all had nubbies already when i got them . then i got some from auntb and i used what orchid moss i had left and rooted some in a bubbler and then dirt . i think that is my preferred way . i put them in a bubbler then a clear dixi cup with dirt, and when the cup is full i move them up.
im too impatient and need to see the nubbies and roots , i guess im a control freak lol. dh got a wood whittling set to carve me some fairy houses and things for my mini garden im doing in the back . i got some baking clay to make some mini pots , and another mini bench . i post pics later . i need to sweep up the potting soil before dh has a fit . he hates when i walk away from messes . he says im a kid lol .ttyl xoxox

Palestine, TX(Zone 8b)

ok, I checked the centers of the two limbs and main stem and there is al kinds of little somethings in each. They may be more leaves or.........dare I say..............flower buds? Ohh I can't wait to see what happens. Just like something I'd have to decide to Y and put on all this growth going into winter.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

LOL what an exciting bunch of Posts! I am so excited for all of you and your changes and babies, and trips and moves, the pics are beautiful and I wait with anticipation for more!

Heber Springs, AR

I WOULD SAY WITH 99 AND 9/10 CERTAINY THAY IS A Y.

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

Haven't tried a bubbler, but rooting in moss seems to work fine for me. I put mine in moss and that seemed to work best. I'll have to try the bubbler another time. On to putting them in dirt now, I like putting them in the clear cups so I can see the roots forming. I did lose "Ollie" and "Sweetheart", I just know I did something wrong.

(Kim) Philadelphi, PA(Zone 6a)

I lost Ollie and Swetheart too : ( maybe they are hard to root...

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

I guess I won't be too upset then, Kim, that I did something wrong. Now to get my others to start growing up. Off to put some seeds in dirt to try and germinate. If DH doesn't get my plant light stand ready soon I'm going to quit cooking for him. Not one of my favorite things to do anyway, I would much rather play in dirt. Haven't got him trained yet not to et. LOL

(Kim) Philadelphi, PA(Zone 6a)

LMBO!!

(dana)Owensboro, KY(Zone 6a)

pegi i wish that would work for me . i cant cook , so he does already lol . he likes to . i guess his motivation is plant trays all over the house .

Palestine, TX(Zone 8b)

Yea Wolf, I have a Y. ( Here's where you here the Hallelujah chorus.)
ok, I have a Y, now what?

I potted some cuttings today that rooted in the moss and I took all from the bubbler and put into moss. So, Now they sit under lights in the morning and evening. They get the real sun from 11am to 4pm.

I love the process for all this. It'a learning and putting what you learned to work. Then when you see positive results it's like making an A in chemistry. I find it very rewarding. Even the waiting is rewarding. It's a good day in Lost Hills.

(Kim) Philadelphi, PA(Zone 6a)

Yay Jeanne!!! congrats on the Y : )

Palestine, TX(Zone 8b)

thank you, thank you. It's like having a baby. Good grief. Getting so excited over a Y. But hey, I'm a brugaholic.

NE, KS(Zone 5b)

I still have Ollie and Sweetheart going, keep me in mind to replace them if you really wanted them.. Jeanne, YES it's Y'd! Very exciting..
