Phyllis, I was down here about six months and got my first deer (with a car) It came out of the woods at about 5 P.M. and crossed the road in front of me, I was only going about 35 because I had just turned onto the main highway and cars were going both directions going home from work, when she hit the front, hood went up, she carried me across the road in front of another car and thank God they stopped without hitting me. My car went into a big pile of dirt with her sticking out of the front of it. The worst part was, by the time I got back to the car from making a phone call (before cell phones) the cops were still there, but someone stole my deer. I was furious. A completely wrecked car and I did not even get any meat. Next car I bought was a truck so if it happened again I could put it right in the back. Dead or Alive. It is Mine. LOL Sorry about your truck and no deer. Hope no one was hurt. I was lucky to get out of mine without a scratch.

4 years, good grief, I hope I live long enough to enjoy the babies. Yikes.

Some people HAVE NO SENSE OF HUMOR! And I don't mean the authouities! LOL ^_^!! I never did like tattle tales! LOL ^_^

JB It depends on the Brug, I bought some rooted Ecuador Pink cuttings in June and received them in 4” pots. By late August they were close to 5’ tall and blooming. From what I’ve read EP is a fast grower and considered easy.

Mary, I was wondering how long it would be before they moved your thread. I didn’t think they would delete it. It was clearly meant to be funny.

Okay folks, what’s for dinner, I’m scrounging again. I made more of a mess today than I’m worth, not much in the mood to make another one in the kitchen.

Donna, I go t some hot pockets. All I have energy for either, when I finally got my rump into gear outside I hauled logs to burn and leaves since it supposed to be raining.

I did a really dumb thing. Opene dth efront and back door so I coudl get fresh air in and some outside heat since it warmer outside than in. Had huge piel and finally go tit to burning. Now the wind wa supposed to be blowing from the south to the north and that would blow the smoke away from the trailer and me. Fire starte dout that way and then next thing I know thinsg wa sgettign cloudy before my eyes. Started hunting my glasses , couldn't find them as thinsg wer egettign cloudier. Finally foudn my glasses, on my face. All the cloudiness was cuz the darn wind had switche d an dnow wa sblowing all the smoke from the fire not about 00 yard s away right all through the trailer.

Then as if that isn't bad enough, the bees must have smelled the brug sticks and I still chasing bees all aroudn the trailer where they decided not to knock and just come on in and make themselves to home. I have managed to get most of them back out but there this one....

I can't find him. I knwo he restign someplace after not too long ago dive bombing me. I just know he waitign for me to go to sleep to decid etoget even and give me a good sting somewhere.

I hope I find him soon, cuz if I don't I wil have to stay up all night waitign and watching fo rhim with a flyswatter in my hand and I know the moment I drop off to sleep I liable to slap myself in the face with the swatter instead of the bee.

We could always eat JB's Deer.....

Hello Jan..getting any snow??

phyllis- OMG!!!! I'm a fussy person/picky eater and I know that my BIL hunts and they have all sorts of venison. I still remember one nite I was at my sister's house and she served lasagne. I tried to be 'coy' and ate around the meat. Sis never said a thing that evening. Then we were together and the subject of that dinner popped into our conversation and she laffed saying that she had used ground round beef and I sat there picking it all out and she didn't say a thing...soooooo funny!!! When we were camping late in the season there were some ppl cleaning out their freezers and sharing food. One of the gals asked us if we wanted some sausage and my DH and my son said "sure"---I said I was FULL as I had just eaten :) Anyhoo, DH had just popped it in his mouth when she said it was alligator sausage. DH was very quiet until she finally left and then ran around to the back of our trailer where no one could see him. When I asked what 'happened' he said that the alligator sausage sat in his mouth til she left and he had to spit it out---LMAO!!! Apparently he wasn't too fond of eating reptile...btw, my son ate several pieces---ick!

hey phyllis! The weather liars are talking about rain/snow showers all weekend. We haven't had a hard, killing frost...yet. Supposedly there's no snow accumulation but geez, if the temp goes below 32, all that rain/snow mix is going to turn to ice...UGH! I surely do not want another winter like last year, maybe just a couple of inches of snow on Xmas eve to get in the spirit...dream on, right?!

thank you for all the comments about my beautiful 'blooms' and yes, many, many years ago I looked as young as my dear daughter...but those days are long gone! lol! I may be that thin again soon, if I dont hurry up and get an appetite back! grrr! finally done with the antiobiotics and anti nausea med so maybe tomorrow I'll have an appetite again. lost 26 lbs since oct 1, not complaining at all! but dont really wanna lose much more! lol!

I got a dmail warning today regarding a remark I made about liking the color red. I was just responding to someone talking about planting red zinnias along the road from here to Lissa's house? how that can be construed as political....? I have no idea. but apparently it was. so...no talking about red flowers anymore?

Hi beck welcome home, AuntB, that bloom is just gorgeous! I am in my basement now .. sitting at my table surrounded by my gardens and tubs and fountain and Duke here with me snoring.. I had a very ruough day, they laid off 4 people at the dealership, first time in my 30 plus years of sales and retail have I ever seen a layoff there.. the aircraft plants here are laying off like crazy feel so bad for people without a job, but the good news is anyone that gets LAIDOFF here makes enough money from unemployment to have a small "paid" vacation.. *sigh* I could use one those right now,
but I just spent a whole paycheck on dorm fees for my youngest DD..my DS came over crying on my shoulder how tought it is trying to pay all his bills on a reduced work week income.. my other two DDs' both called me complaining about bills and the cost of living.. I just told them all that right now this minute, if they can't do anything about it, don't waste their precious grains of sand in their hourglass of life by worrying about it.
Ajil, this thread thing is not worth giving up on us as Brug lovers and friends and sisters.. don't worry bout it..

We had our first real rough day at work ... sign of the rough economy. One department was told they were going to lay off one of them, or the rest of them could give up 4 hours a week and they'd keep her on. They decided to stick together and so the girl will be kept on, and they'll all have reduced hours. They're all scared, of course, but it's nice that they were all willing to take the cut back so one of them didn't have to be without work. They stuck together.

Tomorrow will be a better day .... LOL I'm going to putter outside tomorrow and try to neaten up and pull weeds. Talk to my plants too. If I feel a little crazy, my plants and dog will never tell me so.

Mary, talk to the plants is good, I do that all of the time lol! Talk about lay offs is way very scary!

OK, now I have to tell you all that Ad is moving all of the threads over here, I was only able to spot #28 over there in the brug section and i see the others over here. I wish noone would revive the old ones so if someone needs us they can find us, that is all from me., at least for a long long time!

Wow I’m late this morning; I slept on and off all night but am staying up now. It’s very warm here today with lots of fog. I hope it burns off so I can finish up the bulb planting and yard work. There are not many plants in my yard left to take to so I will have to depend on the one in the house to listen to me today.

The coffee is on and I picked up some assorted muffins to go with it. Have a great Saturday everyone.

its a beautiful saturday here . im so happy because i laid into my dh to stop playing video games ( hes 28 going on 13 ) i said we are almost 30 and all you do is play video games . of course i got the i work hard i deserve it speech . then i went in the den and his laptop was put away ! he said out of sight out of mind . then he asked if i wanted to go to hobby lobby so he could make little things for my terrariums and mini gardens lol i must have said something mean or died and went to heaven lol . have a good day every one! dont let the man get ya down !
