Wait... when I quit laughing, I'm sure I have something to say...
۞ Sweet Interruptions ۞ 48
O M G... My ribs are sore...
Deborah.. .YOUR SUCH A HOOT !!!
Okay, I too and laughing so hard I can hardly see the monitor. Do explain dear Deborah--men's white tighties? Learn something everyday!!!
And I'm taking my medicine.
Marion, Honey. You can't be serious. ROFLOL and SCOMM (spitting coffee on my monitor) They are those men's brief under drawers.
Ok, I've dried the stream of tears on my cheeks... and I think my throat is about to open back up... my jaws are still sore, but I'm sure that will pass...
What I think I was going to say was something like ... we all buy things for others that we want ourselves but won't... but after your whitie tighties comment, it almost didn't seem relevant anymore.
ROFLOL and SCOMM
SCOMM????????
(spitting coffee on my monitor)
FOOMCB
Ahhhh.... you are sharp tonight..
?????
falling-out-of-my-chair-backwards Sharp as a pat of melted butter.
Oh my!!! Educating this old broad now are we? I did buy some one year that had red hearts all over them--silk at that. No more comments. Blushing
In other words, we ain't had this much fun since Homer fell into the slop bucket?
Before 40 or after?
Oh My Gosh Deborah, I am the same way...I always say well, should have bought extra one for me too...LOL but never do.
You just always bring a smile...hehehe, you'll have to d-mail me your size and Ill whip up a pair whities for ya!!
Marion, isn't it so sad that many of the arts are going lost. I have got to tell youhow excited i am...I bought a My first quilting book, and there is a section on one item to add hand embroidery!!! LOL, got chuckle cuz that is what sold the Quiltting book to me...I was so estatic i called Debra to tellher about the book.
Yep got to agree whatever you know how to do certainly pass on...Although, I "still" don't know how to cook!
LOL, My son is an awsom cook at age 5! lol, better to teach him how to make mac and cheese..but he loves to make breakfast.
There is no i am starving but LOL, the fridge is empty all the time, Little chef boy r d, he is...He also, knows how to sew, bead, and knit!!
Loves to do crafts and at 13, he makes his girlfriends pretty necklaces or bracellets, LOL some of which are made out of Duct tape.(lol can't be making things of material at 13)..so funny to see their reaction and they do wear them.
I think that is so cool BJ was able to call you from the store!
Stacey, will keep an eye out when i go shopping at joannes,, I think your pillow is adorable!
Oh and Phylis, wow, what a great gift...You have loads of fun with it.
Oh, oh...Dh getting upset I have been on computer a long time, I said i am having good company!
I am visiting with Sistahs...so I'll be back in a bit, got to chatter his ear off now lol, he'll beg to go chatter with someone else...
Geeze, thanks for keeping me company tonight!
LOL... hmmmm.... I bought a pair of those last year... enough information... ok?
Yep, Judy... I call Deborah from Lowes when I see rescue plants that I have "butterfly" questions about... and she calls me from the Walmart fabric department... good trade, huh?
Yeap enough information!! ROFLOL Weez B old but weez aint dead!!
Judy I think that is great about your son. My son loves to cook and does frequently. Makes a wicked calzone. Stuffed pizza for those who haven't had one. I think boy should learn to cook and girls should learn about tools. It's rough having to learn to do somethings once you are a widow!! I guess I should be grateful my husband did teach me how to use some tools.
Deborah, dear, you better behave now. BTW when do we find out the gender of the baby? Inquiring minds want to know.
LOVE IT...Most excellent trade!
Now ol' Homer jokes I ain't never learnt. But slop bucket I know! That reminds me. My granny always corrected us youngin's for mis-pronouncing the word "Pecan". If we called the nut "PeeCAN" she said, "Ewww, that goes under the bed not in a pie". Proper southern women called the nut "PAcon"
Glad the fire ain't burned out for ya there, BJ! snicker snicker
Judy, I cooked mashed potatoes, collard greens w/neck bone, fried porkchops, drippins brown gravy, white acre peas, fried down white creamed corn in a cast iron skillet, and cracklin corn bread and sweet tea. No dessert , We all are on a diet.
My sons all claim that they had to learn to cook out of self preservation... and as it turns out, they're all very good cooks...
OMG... You cooked all that for ONE dinner? SHEESH !!!... Girlfriend, you should have left overs for a week...
Oh no, Deborah, you were suppose to call me for dinner!!! collard greens with neck bones--oh my!! Did eat myself silly on collards at Mom's last week. I haven't had crackin cornbread since Hector was a pup!! Where do you get your cracklins? Please don't tell me you made them--probably did knowing you.
OMG...OK, my mouth just watered!!
I think it's awsom for kids to cook...I mean why not? they eat, they mide as well know how to cook...
Beside I would starve if my guys didn't cook...Can make a mean Hot dog though...ROFLOL...
...just joshin...I can cook if i really have to.
Ok really got to go for a bit...while i chuckle over you all!
I do all the cooking and grilling. Larry does wash his own clothes though. That was the end of a big arguement years ago when I wouldn't hang his clothes on the hanger right handed. I'm left handed and could not figure out what he was talking about. Plus I used the drier as my iron and would leave his shirts in the drier too long. I would spray them with starch and throw them back him. I never did get what all the fuss was about. He's been washing, drying and hanging up his clothes for 30 of the 33 years we been married. I do fold his tdhirts and whitie tighties though.
I buy skinless cracklins from Walmart on the Lord's (brand name) Pork shelf in the meat department.
I know what all that is (and probably have eaten it sometime or other) but the fried down white creamed corn in a cast iron skillet. ?????
Oh BJ you haven't lived if you haven't have fried down creamed corn! Yummy for sure!!! Geez, now I have to get a towel to clean the drooling up just thinking about it.
So, how do you "fry" and "down" white cream corn?
fresh Silver Queen creamed corn (I put up in the freezer this past summer) You can buy it though in frozen log rolls in the frozen food section at the grocery store or Walmart. Thaw it, then heat up a cast iron skillet, melt some bacon drippings (I save my bacon drippings in a peanut butter jar and keep in the fridge), then when the skillet is hot, put the creamed corn in it and stir stir, don't let it scorch, add salt and lots of black pepper. It's done when most of the natural water is gone.
I am not sure how Deborah does hers but it is when you cut the corn off the cob and I put milk in mine and slowly cook it until it cooks way down and is very thick. Season with a little butter, salt and pepper. Deborah, how do you do yours?
Similar but different. End result---good eating.
posted above yours.
Make your tongue beat your brains out that's for sure.
LOL... ok, now I know it has a name... I do it like Marion said... but never called it by a name... just fried corn...
Well desr Sistahs, I am tired all this talk of food has worn me out completely. So I am going to grab my pillow and go to beddy bye.
Good nite all and pleasant dreams of white acre peas, crackin cornbread, creamed corn, well you get the picture.
Until tomorrow.
Nighty Night Marion... hope you have sweet corn dreams all night long.
Goodnight Marion!
Sweet dreams.
nite nite all! Me going to sew.
