And there is already a feud going on there between 2 groups...

And I think they really wanted us off completly not just moved..

A few of us deal with stuff like this everyday in a topic that's off limits....
But we learn to live with the new rules...

Lissa, we're all okay... you are NOT in trouble.. (my sweet Lissa, she's a good one).. :) Anyone can hit watch and unwatch a thread.. you don't have to have ever posted on it... just try going to one and lurk.. hit the watch thread and you will see it pop up everytime someone posts.. I'm with Lilsista! Somebody is jealous... they want to be like us.... but we're not there anymore.. hope this DGer is comfy, now. Prolly, we'll have even more lurkers. I've been known to shang-hi a newbie or two off the open brug forum.. we'll still get our newbie's ....... not hard to find newbies getting the cold shoulder... lurk for a day or two. Probably any one of us got that CS over there, maybe even more than once. If I remember, I've quit looking at the brug forum for lack of activity before... then we all met over there and BAM! It's okay to say Bam.. right?

Wow! We have a new home?? I was only gone a few hours. I don't know for sure what happened or exactly why, but we are all here now. (HUGS!) And I do know that Dave's monitors all the sites for content, etc., been busted there before myself, so I guess we watch our manners. Please and thank you from now on. LOL!!

Wow.. I been gone sicne this morning finishign my paper and just now getting home and online. Don't know what happened, so am I to understand if we want mornign coffee we have to come here now and there is no chat thread in th ebrugs section at all?

I wsa just invited to join in the chat thread what a week or two ago, felt good cuz was finally made not to feel like an outsider and afraid to post or ask questions.

Star, it's always been that way on any of DG's forums.. stick to the topic.. which I guess we have abused that rule, repeatedly.. here on the general discussion and chat forum we have our "dg license" to talk about stuff besides brugs..

No, my last post was still on the brug forum, then I left the house and now we are here. I think the main thing is that we have a serial chat going which is not what the forums were set up for. And I think we will have a lot of people come over here to still lurk and join.

Celia, Welcome to the Newbie Brug Forum. No brugs?? I am sure someone can get that taken care of real quick. I started out with one and now have 14+ (since May). Hang around a bit and get comfy.

Oh my brugless sister, Paula, called and said in her brugless way, that there is nothing we or they can do about the non brug topic of being stolen from and stalked upon by brugless service people.. *ducks*

That's part of the reason I don't have them. I eat up all the pics I can lay eyes on, though! LOL

To clarify.

Let's say you're a brug grower, and you like to talk about brugs. So you have the Brugs forum on your list of favorites.

It makes you happy to see there's been a new post somewhere on the Brug forum, so you pop in to the forum to see what's new, and you find the new post is on one of these chat threads.

Repeat that excercise a few hundreds times, and you start to see why some of the more serious Brug growers might have asked us to move your chat thread to a chat forum.

Not everyone comes to DG to chat--some have limited time, and really want to focus in on a specific type of plant. That's why we have plant-specific forums.

Some people like to chatter away. That's why we have chat forums.

Phyllis you are right I think, but I am referring to the day that so many of the old posts were pulled up, it filled the front page of the Brug forum for everyone to see. I am not complaining, so please, don't anyone misunderstand me, I was just musing as to different scenarios that could've "miffed" someone. Perhaps I also, am to blame for beginning to use funny/holiday type photos instead of brug photos when I began a thread. I am sorry if that created a problem for us, I only wanted to add a little fun or spice sometimes.

I have however, come to the conclusion that is was done out of spite and/or jealousy, as I have no doubt it was by one of a handful of "serious", unhumorous Brug forum posters.

I guess it's done....You are all right, we will be happy wherever we are because we are together, so I will let it drop. But I am still hurt and angry about it.

I, seriously, do not think it was someone from this thread --- It HAD to have been someone who has nothin' better to do than complain when others are having fun. It's happened before and, it'll happen again...it's human nature (unfortunately)...

My brugs are cut and/or in the basement (one is still blooming :) and there aren't many cuttings as I 'owe' the ones that I have to a couple of ppl. Lhasa is one of the ppl :)

Take care all my bruggie friends---I'm usually lurking cause ya'll are "chatty cathy's" ---but, I'm not complaining...

well.. I am amazed... disappointed and downright upset.. but what can we do?? Guess before long we won't have the right to get "off topic" anywhere... but I DO know that is a matter of FACT on EVERY THREAD in EVERY FORUM..... getting OFF TOPIC that is.... hmmmm makes me curious???

NO I don't think it had anything to do with our lil shenanigans that happened by pulling up all the old threads... if so.. they would have told us back then.. not now... it's definitely something else... I am convinced.. but it's done.. and it's ok..lol.. we ARE together.. and that is what counts!!

Didn't get much accomplished at the Nursing Home.. but I am online and will write to anyone that I think will listen... I believe in being FAIR... and i have given sooo many people the benefit of the doubt.. now i just don't know where to turn.. are there any good people still out there.. besides here???
