My Mountain Magic bloomed - hope the pics turn out - my camera is definitely broken - will only take two pictures - then goes into a timed picture - gets stuck there - have to rewind film - remove and take out battery for the timer display to leave - tried 2 more rolls - same thing only 2 pics -

Always did think hall monitors take themselves too seriously - glad y'all always post link with new thread - I'd never found this - I really don't get it - we don't mess with their threads -It's pretty clear - She's about too.. is a chatty thread - One of the first thing I posted on Texas thread got removed - sent to me d-mail - said I could repost if I took out the profanity - --hehe I wasn't aware anything in it would be considered profanity - guess like we can't use H anymore - would they like us to post

Personally - I have never been offended by anything on this site - and would rather be here with y'all - I don't think any of you has anything to apologize or feel bad about

Evening Burggies and Burgers

Now now everyone, don’t go thinking it was something you said on the thread, I’m sure that nothing in particular caused this. We don’t want to lose any B or B’s over it. I do understand and appreciate Terry’s explanation on why we were moved, we were not always sticking to the forum topic. I’m sure you will all agree if we had been asked to take our conversation elsewhere we would have done it gracefully. Unfortunately that was not the case. I agree that we need to include the word Burgmansia , Burg or Angel Trumpet in the thread header because the reason most of us got together was the She’s about to threads were the only place we could ask our beginner Burg questions and not be made to feel stupid.

Thank you, Betty for welcoming our group to this forum. I’m sure we will be very comfortable here. Along the way we may help in making “General Discussion & Chat” the most posted forum on DG.

Welcome to the thread Celia, glad you came in to join us. Hummm no Burgs yet, I’m sure someone here will change that soon. Your kitties are adorable lounging on the chairs.

I have accepted the fact that I won't see any buds on my plants until spring. My brug cuttings are doing good. Everytime I look at them the leaves seem to get bigger. Starting a whole new gardening adventure here, so no rocking chair for me for a while.

Aunt B.. She beautiful. : ) I have a question, I see on the tick on the right side of the pic you have little leaves allcoming out at the nodes. Are we suppose dto leave them on there to grow. I have a stick that doign the same thing and wondered if I should leave them or take them off.

Also, I hate to admit this , but wil but I am a seed aholic. I love growing and sproutign seed. I love watching them germinate and grow into little sprouts. All kinds of seeds and love surprises. there was a few people that had some seed for sale on the Marketplace and I was able to get a couple and found a couple on ebay from a name I recognized, but wondered do a all just buy and trade sticks or does anybody trade or sell seed or am I just in the wrong time for them?

Who was it that told me that my Sasquatch seeds might be Morning Glory Bush? Was it LK? I did more research and am almost positive that's what they are! Wolfie never blessed me with any cuttings, LOL! (just teasin' Wolfie...) so I can grow my own I guess. I hope they have good color!

I just ate a plate of fresh homemade chocolate chip cookies to make me feel better. Now I'm stuffed!

Celia...Welcome...I'm still a newbie to brugs myself, my cuttings got their first roots now...had them a little over two weeks... I received them from a very special lady..Any questions on brugs just ask here..She and others can answer...I received two cuttings from a lady..(.I traded her a rose bush...).. She didn't know the name but says they are yellow...I would be more than happy to send you one if you wish...I myself, being new, understand what its like to see and want to get started with brugs so I be happy to share

Bonnie she is just precious; I can't wait for her sisters to bloom next spring. The little troopers are growing leaves in the basement now.

Pegi, I hope they don’t make you wait too long, I’m assuming spring come early in zone 10.

Ella, I love seeds too, I have some burg seeds that I am itching to start but being in zone 6B I will wait until January or February.

hey you guys.. erm gals.. i just made some homemade beer batter bread and macadamia nut cookies so now I feel better.. those mg bush seeds look loke the ones someone gave me.. dollie I think did, also, should I even be planting brug seeds or no? Someone sent me some.. should I wait? I am like whoever said they were a seedaholic.. just ask Bonnie.. she will tell u ...I can't go near anything with a deadhead or seed pod without stuffing my fists.. sheese! I went ahead and planted the datura double white metal.. hope they do something I am getting impatient, my other seeds are up and going to town,, ( not brugs or daturas )
Oh: Bonnie, one of the TREES ( brug) had to be trimmed a little more from the top. I have the cuttings in the cups.. should I send them off to someone before they root or after they root??

Debra, I have never planted burg seed but I have planted Datura and they are a bear to geminate. They need heat and sun to pop. I darn near gave mine up for a loss last spring when I was told to lay them on top of the soil and put them in the sun. We had a week of 80+ temps and they all popped right up.

I love getting cuttings in the mail already with nubbies.. just wrap with wet paper towels and put in zip lock baggies and zip closed.. nubbies will be fine for shipping. As long as the nubbies don't dry out they will be fine... I have received cuttings in the mail that grew nubbies while being shipped if it was warm during shipping.. it is a great surprise!

I have had someone mail me a rooted 12 inch plant with long roots. Took 5 days to get to me (sat in the post office over weekend) and it did great! They washed the soil off the roots and wrapped in a wet paper towel loosely and loosely sealed with Saran.

I love getting cuttings with nubbies already started. Seems like a good sign for success.

Hi there. Debra that bread and those cookies are yummy! MMmmm I'd probably root them now, for Spring sending, mark them "above the Y" cuttings.... but I'm a zone colder than you.. Esther, I've sent nubbed brugs with the wet paper towels.. the longer/warmer the trip the more wet paper towels..they will be fine if they don't get frozen. (can't keep up with where everyone is from-again)

the passie vine, the lobata and all the other rootings in the tub are very happy.. the brugs down here are all looking good, just needed to make more room for them to grow.. here is a pic of my cuttings from the Monster brug in the backyard.. btw Bonnie your peach Versi is awsome!

The beer batter bread is a hit with my DH, just got my reward peck on the cheek lol, duke is happy I am down here, he has the whole couch to himself.. ( it is a sectional on the other end .. this is a big basement! I hauled up an old lazy boy and a twin mat set to the front to be taken by the trash people tommorrow, also took out about three huge boxes of JUNK that i have no clue why it was still down here, cleaned out the garage so I can park my honda in there this winter, still need to bring in the pots of things by the garage door before it freezes, Bonnie, planted the EE's u gave me and the native MGs are already sprouted down here LOL

I am so late going to bed, all of ya'll know I get up at 3, but how about our new thread in General Discussions is "She's about to, Newbie Brugs # 34". And lets always keep a brug picture on top. (Karen, no cut to you intended at all, I have loved the pictures you put on, okay, sweetie!) but I think we need to start our own brug/ people/friends thread over here. I go to alot of forums and just look, and they are not marked as my favorties. So, besides our chattiness, there was a lot of time people went in to look at brugs and all they got was the last 30 episodes of our escapades. And when they went to the bottom of the thread, what did they get?? It wasn't brugs, just our TMs. Bonnie asked you, I asked you, Beckie asked you, but no.....and when this started we lost a lot of people who posted every day...

Now, if you think I am the one that reported you, so be it. I know I did not. But the playing at night and moving everybody else's new post to the second or third page was fun, but RUDE. You were having so much fun, you didn't think how it was affecting other people.

So, now I have said my fill. If you don't like it, I truly apologize. You can dog me all you want, and I'm sure some of you will. But I still love ya, Peg

wow Debra... looks like you have it all set up.. have the office with the laptop right near the ICU for the plants... how nice.. I need some of those cookies BTW.. some of my favs!! Dats are Hard to take.. took me over 2 months to show signs of life, and I had top light and bottom heat
Tammie.. I agree.. but it's just nice to get any brug cuttings in the mail.. nubbies.. rooted or just cuttings..lol
Ella.. I agree with the others.. just make sure you have a good very damp paper towel maybe 2... around the cutting end that has the nubbies, and I wrap in a zip loc bag.... easier to get off than the saran wrap...lol... I like easy too!!

I really don't want to say this... but i want all of us to understand that to each of us we wonder IF we did anything wrong... IF we did it was a combination of things... but now we have been "whipped"... I don't think we need to whip on each other.. what is done is done... " You will find trading going on in this forum, you will find people giving seeds and brugs on this forum, and all of the above.

I just sent out some Little Business daylily seeds to some folks, if you would like some just dmail me and I will stick some in the mail. I may also still have a potted brug later this week. Need to make sure the one I just sent out makes it alive and well and you are welcome to it because I just don't have the room. Only problem is the postage is a little high cause it is all potted and growing.

I have never done seeds but I am going to try this year. Maybe you can help me figure out what I am doing....LOL

Is this slow loading for anyone else? I am on dsl and this is loading soooooooooo slow.
