Looks like I have some research to do on some of the seeds, but I will find a place for them all. Some I have not heard of, but Thanks to DG, I have all the info I need right here!
Going to plant files, see you all later.

Rebeckie!!! I'm going to have to stand up for Donna... she so tried to shang-hi those TM's back here to the CURRENT Hottie Thread... I know lil Donna isn't a TM.. and I think we established on 29, 30, 31 or one of the Hottie Threads that PHYLLIS holds the Highest chair as most honorable TM..but gosh, AnjL might just be pushin in there for a place on that seat! Lissa!!! You stay here on #33, girl! Won't have those TMH's corrupting you! So, guess since our Moderator (E-HEM)----------- has taken a day or two off.. let that be a wet noodle warning to ya, Missy!
Karen, if you lose your lil Cassie cutting, I will surely have more next spring.. I'm trying to root some little stem shoots and a couple MIGHT make it..

NE, KS(Zone 5b)

Well, now Phyllis, ya went and got my dander up... and I'm not too open to questions and logical thinking when my dander is up.... ;) (sometimes, I get my blinders on and have that tunnel vision thing)... What questions do you have Hottie Phyllis?? Nice to see you here on #33.. :)

NE, KS(Zone 5b)

(((Karen))) Awe!!! Both lil fellas' are adorable, Lissa! How cute!

Copied from above:

Question Bonnie..
I cut one of my Isabella's up...(Oh No)
And put half in the bubbler and half in with my bamboo plant
Their doing abt the same...
And only after 3 days most of the cuttings have nubbies and some are
starting to grow...
I've had a 100 % rooting rate with the woody ones... (not so good with the thin green ones though)
Do you think that maybe they root better for the owner cause that's what their use to??
I have well water...
Or are Isabella's one of the easier ones to grow??

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Chester is such a cute little puppy! No wonder he found the battery heater. He is so tiny. Karen, sending you hugs for you your missing Lily!
LK

NE, KS(Zone 5b)

Phyllis, I think Isabella is a pretty easy one to get going.. I think Joyce has that one.. I don't think they care WHO has them... sometimes they may have been cut days before you get them and sometimes they are cut right before packing up to mail.. then 2 or 3 days in darkness and then you get them... I would think your well water is great for them... might want to add some B1 and a lil peroxide... but I think certain kinds root easier than others.. I have some smaller growing ones that the roots are so much smaller than others so I figure they take longer to grow cause the "veins" (roots) to get the goody to the leaves are smaller... ?... AuntBology, I think.. lol Karen I bet Lily got many new toys at her new place.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

I had planned on Blogging about the BackYard Project and The Monster brug saga on my multiply site, getting caught up in here on my thread and greeting all of you as well.. , but I just got home from voting and from spending the night at Paulas' to help with Pauline and just received a phone call from them.. ever since they moved into their new house, and had the Cox Cable guy come out to hook them up, Pauline had a bottle of pain pills out in her bedroom and they came up missing..

A few weeks later the guy shows up for a "work order" and of course there was none. In the meantime, the phone was cut in, interrupted at times, and there has been several other incidences with this Cox guy..

well, he showed up this morning after I left, Mike and Paula find this guy with another "Work Order" ... Mike tells the guy he isn't letting him in and that he is tired of the guy coming out for bogus "work orders" and that he thought the guy had already stolen from them.. Mike and Paula called Cox, and the Police.. so now all family members will have to call before a visit, and Pauline and Paula are beside themselves with worry.. This is sad when you can not trust a service rep to come into your home without wondering what they will pocket.. I am livid about this!!!!

Santee, CA(Zone 9a)

Debra-- I was going to mention when I saw your post about the Cox Cable Tech to call into Cox ASAP. My DH is a Cox technician and their bosses take complaints and situations of "things missing" VERY SERIOUSLY. You may even want to demand to speak to this guys supervisor (even if they take your message and tell you he will call you back, he should and would..at least here they do) and from there you can even get the contact information of the President of your particular Cox Communications location, the presidents do read their own emails AND will take what you have to say about an employee very seriously. I know this first hand as well, you won't get a "blanket response" from the assistant, the president is to contact you personally, it's part of the companies policy. LMK if you need me to have my husband track down a particualr phone# or email address for you, I'm sure he can find it in his company laptop.

Being married to a member of the Cox family, I apologize that someone has done you wrong. (This is just from me, I am IN NO WAY excusing the behavior) There is ZERO tolorence for that in the company and that's the gods honest truth. It is very hard to get employed by Cox and therefore they do want/need to hear about employees who are being dishonest..... this is a bit of inside information that you didn't hear from me.... Cox is currently in the process of downsizing the company countrywide by 2%, so get the complaint in to as many people as possible, as soon as possible..the decisions are being made as we speak. Hopefully this technician will not be given the chance to take advantage of another customer again. LMK okay.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

Santee: thanks for your imput, sorry, I had to vent.. I have a friend here who is with Cox and know the people that can help us, now the police are involved, this guy smelled like pot while he was at the door Mike said, yuk! Anyways, it just has poor Pualine in an uproar because we didn't tell her about the first incicdent and just got the RX refilled after a lengthy explanation to the dr why we need 100 10mil. loritabs refilled after a day.. Mom needs those so bad she is in so much terrible pain.. anyway.. it will all work out, I love the company, but I have had other service company reps do the same thing ...all across the board we all have to be careful and ask for id when they come in and write down their names I guess.. *sigh* I just can't wait until I get so old ..

(Karen) Frankston, TX(Zone 8a)

So sorry about the incident and Pauline being so worried....I hope it's resolved soon and the guy is punished. I haven't shared this with many people, but my Daddy died on his front porch on Christmas Eve morning, 1984. Somene walked past his body, into the kitchen, and stole all of his presciption medicines. How much lower than that can you get I ask you?

2 years ago, my Mom's at home health aide (who she considered like a daughter) accepted a gift from my Mom for being so good to her, cried her thanks, and walked out the door with Mom's biggest diamond ring in her pocket. She sold it locally to buy crack. I did a 'lil investigating, and got the ring back for paying the $20 back that she sold it for. There are sick people everywhere.

(Karen) Frankston, TX(Zone 8a)

On a lighter note:

I received Castor Bean plant seeds from a couple of DG'rs , and know what they look like. Speckled Pinto Beans. At the last RU I was at, this lady handed me another baggie, wrote Castor Bean seeds on the baggie and told me that's what it was. I know she made an error, because of the obvious visable difference. These seeds are furry and look like Sasquatch, LOL! Anyone know what they might really be?

Santee, CA(Zone 9a)

{{{Debra}}} Oh lordy...he smelled of pot too?? eye yie yie!! I hope you reported that too, they will have him drug tested as well. Hey we all need to vent, and you have an honest reason to vent, I would be rather ticked/po'd and few others i can't say outloud if this was to happen to me or any member of my family. Glad the police are invloved too.

{{{Karen}}} Oh, I am so very sorry to hear such a horrible thing happened to your Daddy ;o( and your Mom for that matter as well. I don't understand how these people can live with themselves... so mean and nasty...hhmmfff

Santee, CA(Zone 9a)

Okay so I've been convinced by a certain "AnjL" to make my ornaments for the swap, so I've been checking out their online craft ideas and have 2 in mind. I'm gonna stop by Michael's on my way home from therapy and then let's all pray I can get something crafty actually made..hee hee

NE, KS(Zone 5b)

Debra, so sad that happened to Pauline.. and all of you! Sure makes you wonder bout mankind, huh? I'm glad you are pursuing. Sasqatch seeds! lol Karen they remind me of Chubbies? Greebies??? Remember the episode of Star Trek with the little fury creatures?? Lissa? I think Melissa is a trekky.... The are cute seeds, Karen.. someone will know.. they kinda remind me of brug seeds... is there a fury brug seed??

Santee, CA(Zone 9a)

a trekkie huh?? well maybe just a little bit..hee hee the word you are looking for is a Tribble...the furry little alien pet thingys right??

~melissa :o)

NE, KS(Zone 5b)

I knew there was a "b" in there somewhere... No offense intended SanteeLissa.. I thought you would know! Tribble.. yes! Don't Karen's seeds look like Tribbles?? Ok, maybe just me.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

So sorry to hear of the mess and the missing meds, I know they are not easily replaced. I do hope he gets into lots of trouble!
I have no clue what those furry things are? maybe post it on the plant ID forum?
Glad to hear you got her ring back.
LK

(Tammie) Odessa, TX(Zone 7b)

I actually laughed out loud when I saw the pic of the sasquatch seeds... they are sort of cute.. I have no idea what they are either.. too furry for brug seeds or anything I have seen before. I have a friend who traveled in the world of sci-fi and had one of the actual 'tirbbles' used in that star trek episode... Laura and Kelley Freas they had lots of sci fi things from the past around the house.. it was always fun to wander around and find things, pictures and such ...

Midwest City, OK(Zone 7b)

LK

Nassau County, NY(Zone 7a)

the same goes for #32, no one can find us now in the brug forum!

(Phyllis) Osceola, PA(Zone 5b)

Before I catch up is it just my thread or have we been kidnapped from the Brug Forum and moved to General Discussion and Chat Forum??

(Phyllis) Osceola, PA(Zone 5b)

No this morning before I left it was The Brug Forum...
Guess the DG administration doesn't think we talk about Brugs often enough...

(Tammie) Odessa, TX(Zone 7b)

Who made that decision.. we are still brugaholics here.. one and all! Do we not still talk brugs? Show off pics of our brugs... blooming and/or not? Enquiring minds would like to know.

Nassau County, NY(Zone 7a)

Don't know, this is weird? Confused here! Karen where are you?

(Tammie) Odessa, TX(Zone 7b)

just found this in the brug forum posted by Administration: (hope I don't get in trouble by copying it but thought all would benefit by finding it here too!)

1) We have received some complaints about the proliferation of off-topic threads in this forum. It's one thing for a discussion to take a few twists and turns; it's something totally different to find 30-some serial "chat" threads in this forum. I've relocated the most recent threads. If you are participating in them, you'll still get updates and links to them in the General Discussion forum.

2) No matter where those threads are located, let's keep the sexual innuendo off the site--no more references to "hotties".

DG has always been a place that younger members (as young as 13) and a lot of young visitors (and their parents, teachers, and grandparents) have felt comfortable perusing freely, because we keep things pretty "G-rated".

As the site membership grows bigger, we rely more on you--the members--to uphold that tradition and do your part to refrain from any and all offcolor language (even if it's "bleeped" out with !@#$% symbols) and risque jokes and references. (And please let us know if you come across a post that crossed the limits.)

We've been moved and whipped with a wet noodle..

Nassau County, NY(Zone 7a)

The thread has an asterisk too, there is another one in there that has it, I am sure they were moved too!

(Phyllis) Osceola, PA(Zone 5b)

Next thread will have to say..Brugaholic's..She's about too...#34

Did anyone recieve a warning d-mail from administration??

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

None here.
it is usually the thread starter that gets the warnings.
That is hard to believe!
