Well the devil's trumpet is thirsty when it is watered everyday, but when it sits in water constantly for six days, OVERKILL. It is better now. It has new leaves that are healthy and the buds are fine. It's just the older leaves that wilted.

Hello H&H's!! We are back finally from Beaumont... hopefully tomorrow I won't have to go anywhere, until I go see Momma!! This is killing this ol homebody, having to go somewhere everyday..lol... The girl that did the ultrasound said she didn't see anything wrong in Lyles legs! His legs swell soo bad and the Dr wanted to rule out blood clots...yay... he just needs to take his lasix

Karen, yes on the raised bed over st augustine.... BUT ...make sure you put down a thick layer of sopping wet cardboard first! or the grass will grow up! you have to smother with thick wet cardboard or really thick wet newspaper so it doesnt come back. hope this helps!

Dr called back today (the urgent care doc...still no call from the surgeon! grrr) and said that one of my liver tests came back high so he is sending a note to surgeon to call and have me come in to follow up with him tomorrow....once again waiting for him to call me :(

I do have a regular physical scheduled for Fri ~ scheduled it months ago.... so if I havent heard from the surgeon, I'll follow up with the other doc on friday morn.

still running a fever, but they said its good that the fever responds to the acephetamine...so hopeful :o) nothing serious.

Anjl, good luck with your prognosis, sometimes those 24 h emergency clinics are not the best or emergency rooms for that matter. Wish you good luck. We've had bad experiences here in NYC, suppossedly the best of the best doctors and sometimes they just stink, born here or not!

Hi Sista Clemen, I am so depressed... oh wells; the flowers are from my back yard, I have seeds from them... I collect bouquet pictures every year and save them and get them printed onto an 8x10... yes, there were flurry warnings here, but nothing yet.. however the fear of freezing caused me to *choke* cut down my monster brug...I have been crying all night.. my DH even asked if he could do something for me.. I said yes, build me a GH.. and he just laffed and said Yeal right.. he is on overtime so in bed already.. me and duke are just hanging out up here.. looking at all my flower pics and posting them to my multiply site.. *sigh*

Debby don't be depressed, please!!! do not make me sad, my brugs will be like yours in a week or so, so you have my sympathies. I went to my sunny place today and the bruggies looked gorgeous, i can only see what happens to them in a day or so, ouchie, sad over here too!

Clemen, your cassia is doing good.. you and tropic man have plants coming in the spring.. and a few others if they want..can't wait to hear from Bonnie.. I bet she is bringing in her brugs some more too..

Now I feel silly for putting my brug in Sooner Country (hubby"s workroom) because it is going into the 40's tonight. I didn't have to cut mine. I'd cry too. I can't wait until she is in the ground next year. My potted plants drive me nuts in the winter worrying over them.

Jeanne... I think someone said the brugs are at their best in the 40's to 80's degree range, so they are feeling right at home now!! I girl up the road from me sells the brugs and she just planted some more in the ground the other day, so I am going to plant some more of mine, but still cut the tops right before the 1st frost... just for insurance IF the ones in the ground don't make it over the winter.

I can't bring myself to plant Miss Gargantuan now. It's kind of like watching Maggie and Ken cut their brugs at the round up. I struggle with overwintering her. Do I bring her in , do I leave her in Sooner Country and water her periodically. It's kind of like having your first born and knowing nothing about infant care, ya know?

Then karen hi how r u girl?? Well i made a pork loin in the crock pot, a salad, fried green plantians and fried sweet yellow plaintains. Everyone ate the whole thing, i was happy to see left over for Cops, anyway, i mix leftoveer meats with his horrible dry food, lol!

its 50s here at night and 2 are blooming and flamenco is ready to any day! all this happened while I was in the hospital...seems they waited for me to come home to open up tho! :oD
