LOL I didn't' mention I talked to another DGer today about glass fusing as she does ti and teaches it over in Arlington and she told me a link to go check out ...I could spend all my waking time doing stuff like this I would be in heaven but ya have to have money to do it dang it and I don't play the lottery.

Deb it is really easy I did mine while the guys watch football but I wish I hadn't let Dh talk me into the pre mixed stuff as it had pebbles in it and I don't like the outside of ti so we are gonna try to smooth it out by adding a layer to it tomorrow

BJ, it is the Encyclopedia of Polymer Clay Techniques by Sue Heaser...it covers basic stuff, then shaping, surface embellishment, simulations and inclusions, sculpting....all kinds of projects.....even cute little froggie buttons!!!

Its ok Jaye......got a few late nighters here and there and if they're not around I got a new clay book so might have to learn something new!! Night everyone.......then again I might just turn in early tonight!!

well the dogs got me up again and it;s just starting to get light out.
got lots to do today need to get the cement stuff done then have to figure out what I can plant form the Ru other then the rose bushes and get those in the ground.
then verizon wireless opens at 11 and plan on being there when they open as today we can get new phones and step son is suppose to get his own plan and be off of ours. took DH last week to look at phones as he really needs a new one he seems to be rather hard on his for some reason....have to have that done before the football games start LOL

Thanks for the bread recipe, now I have to find Karen, and ask for her salsa recipe. We opened it yesterday, and it is so good! Better than the store bought.

Morning All,
Yesterday was a long day for me. Left my house at 8:15 a.m. did not get back home until 9:00 last night. I'm really sorry to say I did not get any pictures from Apple Hill. But let me tell you what a day. 15 miles of apple farms, thousands and thousands of PEOPLE. Just trying to get there was hectic. The traffic was backed up for miles and this is on very busy freeway as it takes you to South Lake Tahoe. It tooks an hour and half to get to the first farm which is the most popular. Every kind of apple you imagine, the pies were to die for, the aromas of the pies baking and bbq's going, kettle corn etc. my stomach was growling. Food lines were 40-45 minute waits. The one thing missing was the fall colors, hardly any trees have started changing colors. I will be planning another trip next year but I think I'm going to go with a gf. My daughter and her family are not into the crafting part of things so therefore they just kind of walked thru said ok next one. Didn't give my mom and I a chance to look at things. I would have taken lots of pictures of the different vendors but it was so crowded that all I would get was people.

Before we left to go to Apple Hill, we stopped by a park that was having a small festival and a contest. This first picture is of a lady spider that my son-in-law's mother made. It is made of concrete. I don't know what she used for body parts except the legs are those noodle things you use in the water. Following will be other pictures of contestants.

Giant pumkin contest.........when we left they had just weighted one in at 441.5 pounds last years weight to beat was 996.5 Just think how many pumpkin pies those could make....LOL

My daughted and grandson. He is only 13, look how tall he is. I was pounding on his head to make him go back to being a little boy again. The time went by so fast.

oh Cindy that looks like so much fun and apples ..ohhhh I miss Edwards apple orchard back in Illinois...we would go pick Johnathons and get cider donuts and fresh made apple cider
