I got all mine rooting in pots, planted in the ground... or planted in pots and still indoors to spend the winter. Don kept saying "OMG, OMG... MORE PLANTS?" I just replied... "yep... my DG friends love me"... lol.

Kel says he's lucky us sistahs don't physically gather every day somewhere, if not he'll have to keep looking at my photos to remind himself what I look like!

I am lucky..Robin just gave me two miniature rooted roses. Sandra from Midsouth had also given me some heirloom roses, and they bloomed for me.

Happy to share. If it wasn't for DGers I'd not have the butterflies I have without some many plants folks have sent me. You both are quite welcome. Enjoy and look forward to seeing spring pictures, sistahs.

Phyllis, I just scrolled up and read what you posted. I'm looking real hard!!! OH my, can't wait to see the finished product!!!

Here is a pink rag purse, I made my Granddaughter. It still has to be washed and dried. And you all were not kidding with the fuzz all over the place. Goodness. I made it pink outside, and all purple inside. her favorite colors.

A cold ride today....went to a demo at the Rubber Stamp store this afternoon with MOM....we spent the afternoon making some cards with the new ideas we got!! Always fun to learn something new!!!

Lamb and barley soup for dinner....lucky I picked up bread at the bakery last night....was going to have cornbread but either my eyesight or my brain (or both) were disengaged tonight....I managed to grab the cornstarch instead of the baking powder!!!! Just a note, it does not work very well!

Well DH has two meetings tomorrow, SIL's car is repaired so once I get back from the gym with my MIL I may get caught up here and can't think of anything else that I HAVE to do tomorrow!!!!!

BJ, You know what I forgot at your house??? Pinecones. I was going to collect some for crafts, and I forgot to pick them up. We just got so busy with the round up, and the chatting, and having wine out back....
Guess I will get them next time.

My mower usually chews them up... but I'll go out and pick some up... if you want them for Christmas crafts, I'll send you some.

I talked to Kathy yesterday....she had Mikes Bday party-his Bday is today-yesterday-a ton of people comeing over, then she had to take 2 of the dogs I think to the vet this am...

oh I am gonna have to ask someone if the air vent int his office can be closed up some I do not need this air comin down on me it is cool in here ..mind you cool air is suppose to be better for breathing...but it sure i s making me feel chilly

OMG... Cuz, Ms Pooh is soooo adorable. Do you have her home? or is she still at Wally's house? Too cute for words.

Phyllis... cool air is better for breathing, but not when it blows right on you... it can cause you to ache... maybe they can redirect the vent so it blows away from you.

No problem. How is everyone day going. I think I am going to go and heat up some soup? I bought a ham this week-end, so I can have the big ham bone to make some bean soup, with some cornbread. Probably Friday. It is starting to get a litlle cool here, but just makes me want to make some soup.
Phyllis, hope your not coming down with something. Stay out of the cool drafts like that.

bj, i brought ms. pooh home this weekend. she has worms and parasites are affecting her feet. took her to see he doc. don't know how well you can see her sore in this pic

OH, MAN !!! Poor baby... what did the vet say? Is she going to be ok?

Phyllis... all my cones are kinda ragged looking... if you want to send her yours, that's fine... cause it might take a while to gather enough GOOD ones to use for decor...

that is what the parasites do to her feet and the tip of her tail. she has ointment and pills, and doc said when he sees her again in 2 weeks she should be cured. she got her first shots today

I will send postage to anyone that send me pinecones.

Now don't everyone here rush out and send me boxes of them, I just need a nice box full for decorating and such.
If they are not open, that is fine too. I put them in the hot oven for a few minutes, and it makes the house smell good too!

It just makes me mad, I forgot to get them while I was there.

Oh, good... 2 weeks isn't long... I do hope she's ok by then.

Well, Our Lake pump went out, and Don is spending the day fixing that. So, I'm making my sister a rag tote. I am sending her a box of bulbs for fall planting, a plant she wants and some seeds for spring planting. She didn't think I could send plants, so she told me to hold it till she gets up here... I'm out to prove her wrong. I told her that we all swap plants and mail them clear across the country all the time, I'm sure they'll be fine just to San Marcos...
But, I want to top the box off with a tote bag, just for kicks.

So, I'm off to the sewing machine... see you gals later.

Did the vet say what kind they were? I read somewhere that earmites affect other parks of animals, like their feet. It says that if you see them licking their feet alot could be a sign of earmites. Isn't that just the craziest thing?

You didn't miss much with the pine cones here, LK... so don't beat yourself up... mine just aren't pretty this time of year... they're actually prettier in the spring... and they fall off "granddaddy" pine all year long.

Taxi days.....as we speak I am sitting in a parking lot waiting for them. They started up here for an appointment for Sage and wipers, and everything started slowing down....they don't know it but DH and I just had a great idea....chances are it just might be the BATTERY and not the starter and alternator??!!! The just had both of those replaced and the battery still goes down??Sounds like it isn't taking a charge...when they get out I am headed for the Parts place for a battery.....very good chance that will fix the problem.

The rain has really come in today and it is pouring....I made a big pot of lamb and barley soup last night....so dinner by the fire tonight.....and I will try to use baking powder instead of cornstarch in my cornbread this time.....

If it dries out enough we tons of pine cones in the area right now. What size....? First nice day I will see if Laura can go with me and gather uop a variety!

Stacey, what a way to entertain your guests at a wedding!! It's hilarious! You can feel the 'dynamism' of that couple.
So sorry you're not up to par Phyllis. I don't drink, but these days, when I feel a sniffle coming, I hurry and make me a warm toddy with Jack Daniels. It works, but you know about it and I won't recommend drinking at work. :D

Lamb and barley soup.. yummy!! Trisha, my mum used to make mutton (the goat meat) and barley soup but with ginger, star anise and cardamon..so fragrant. But I won't mind trying out your recipe too!
