Stepped into a colony of red ants!!! After the rains, you can bet there'll be these pests everywhere!!!
Urrrrggggggggggggghhhh. Disinfect the area and time for Benadryl.
Now figure this, not one bite from a mosquito today, but I got red ants!!

Yes they are, Debra. Tenacious little fellas too. They pierce your skin with venom and won't let go!
My MIL had to get a cortisone shot last year just for those pests!

that's one reason I wear rubber boots and long pants stuffed inside them. Yes, it gets hot but I don't get ants on my legs or bees up my shorts. lol!

Oh Jaye, be careful---actually I know you were just when those "devils" are out it is hard to avoid them sometimes.

Well I have watered the front 40 really well so I guess the water bill next month will he horrendous. Wonder if I can convience Kim we have a leak?

Debra I don't know if the world is ready for two more of us!!! I would love to make it to Arkansas some day....I have a second cousin in DeQueen (I think that is where mom said they were).....was only about 5 years ago that I found out Grandpa even had any brothers...

Ouch, I miss fire ants about as much as I miss rattle snakes and scorpions!!!!

It will be really nice if we ever get everyone situated and back on line.....we do miss all of them!!!

Talk about brain dead, got back from Seattle at about 4 this morning....now I am sitting here in the parking lot waiting for Laura to get out of a DR. Appt., have tomeet the DH for lunch then pick Laura up from house sitting and take her home....then deliver and retrieve Sage from visitation with her mother.....I just want to go get some sleep!!!

...and well you should Trisha. Just say NO and go to bed!

I would love to say NO but their car is broke down and they can't afford to get it fixed until Laura's DH gets his settlement later in the month......been in that boat before and I am one of those people that has trouble saying no!!

Ladies, thanks for the laughs, now I also need to go and change the depends!!! ^_^
Jaye, those darn ant bites are terrible. we have them here too, and they hurt! Put ice on them for a few, that will help a little.
Marion, too funny about the water left on. I did that last year, and hubby was so mad, but to out surprise, the water bill was not that bad.

Forgot to tell you Debra, that I used Salonpas too. It's my late Mum's favorite 'plaster' for anywhere that aches. I remember too my grandparents using them. Then there's also the hot capsicum patches made in Germany. I forgot what they're called. Will look for them next time I'm at the oriental store.

Late but checking in for a few minutes. Festival things jumped in my way as the day progressed and I had to take care of some issues. Oh well made decisions so now we can move forward with a few items that need to be put into place ASAP!!

Sounds like we are in for a really nice day tomorrow--81. A veritable cold front for us right now! Will be perfect day for getting some more done on the front bed.

Jaye, it does hurt and I kind of brought it on myself by not wearing my brace as I should. It get hot and itches but guess I will have to tolerate it once again.

I"m here was working on a project in the garage that I have to put on a number of coats as the wood is soaking the polyurethane in each time LOL and was making a call to the cell phone company inquiring why step son is having a 10. charge on his phone very month come to find out he downloaded some games back in May before I go the block on and every time he plays them ti costs $10 which his dad now knows of and we will be changing things around the 19th so there is only me, Dh and my internet on the bill SS will have to get his own plan ....*EG*
