(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

LOL that is too cute, BJ

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Cool, CUZ... you still pacing?

Cindy... we're having 55-60 mornings, and 75-80 in the afternoon... I'm loving this weather... getting lots of stuff done outside...
But, today we're off to Dallas for some shopping... so, no work today.

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Yeaterday was beautiful-high 70's, and today it is overcast, crappy looking and only gonna be 71:( I am so mad at DH-there are rabbit remains in one of my flower beds that he has promised to take care of so I can get the rest of my plants in the ground-it is STILL THERE!! I don't know how they got there or anything, but ewww!!

YEAH-baby chick!!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Where is the coffee and Bengay? Chatty bunch here this morning.

Jaye, so sorry you were sick this weekend. I do hope you are feeling much, much better. Looking at my quilting books and fabric is always good medicine for mewhen I feel bad. Even when I don't for that matter.

Oh Kathy, more babies? Tell 'em to hurry we want to see them!!

Shopping BJ, sounds like fun. Nope, if it requires me to move very much not a good idea after all! Oh my bod is achy but atleast all the plants are in the ground, mulched and should be blooming when I look ourside. Isn't that they way it works?

Phyllis, I would be taking quilting squares too. No book for me --got to keep the hands busy!!

Morning Cindy, I agree I don't like the weaher getting hotter again. We are expecting 90 today after a week of mid 80s. I don't like this at all!!!!!

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

it won't be long now. i can hear it calling loud and clear

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Oh, I am eggcited for sure. How many?

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Mornin Maid Marion !!!
I'm sore too... did too much digging here this weekend... but, not today... Don's taking me on a shopping date... Shopping and dinner in the big city is a date to us... how exciting is that....

ugh... I really need a life.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Well Morning to you too BJ. Hummm, I thought we had a life here! LOL I am glad I didn't have to dig the holes but it was work just getting the root balls broken up and the plants planted. Big 3 gal. size and a handful for me!! Atleast it is starting to shape up as I envisioned it---so far! I am sure there will be changes--always are.

Enjoy your trip into the city and the day with Don!!! I am going to putter around here.

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Yep... my yard is an ongoing evolution... always changing...
You'd think at some point it would be all done... but noooooo it never seems to be finished.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

I guess we can get away with "were just women?"

Ferndale, AR(Zone 7b)

Jaye and Bon, glad you are both feeling better. Sorry such a rough weekend.

Kathy, is it calling for it's mama? I'd be squealing with eggcitement!

Ok, where's Deborah? Surely she knows we are having Cordeledawg withdrawal. Was thinking of her yesterday when I discovered on of the Monarch chrysalids had opened and the poor butterfly was lying on the ground, crumpled. His wings didn't open fully. Whah! The only other chyrsalis that we've found is on the verge of opening. Need to go check it now.

Hmmmm, what to do today? Continue plugging away outside? We've made big headway but lots more to do. Or start cutting squares for the rag purses? Did I share I bought Arkansas Razorback fabric to make rag purses for my two craft fair buddies? If I don't get started soon I won't get them done in time to take them with me in mid-Oct when we get together for the shows. Think I'll work outside for 1/2 day then come in and start working on the fabric.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Mornin' Debra, I agree where is Deborah? I guess till busy settling her son back home. Same problem here: inside or outside today? Bod say inside, brains are saying outside. Hummm, with it going to be in the low 90s maybe inside will win.

Rag purses sound great! Post a picture please. Never tried the rag quilt or purse but it is on my ever growing list of things I want to do before................ OH, I know my bucket list!!!

Ferndale, AR(Zone 7b)

I bought a pattern off ebay, Marion. Don't know if the link will work but we'll give it a try.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150296307858

It looks easy enough - just need to sit down and get started. It won't make itself!

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

I LOVE THAT PURSE.... I think even I could make that one.
Wonder if I could get that pattern from you?

Ferndale, AR(Zone 7b)

BJ, dmail me your email address and I'll send it in an attachment. How's that?

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

me too?

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Lolol!! That's Stacey alright in that top pic. Yep, got to hush her sometimes!!! And that kitten depicts most of us in the morning, before coffee! Thanks BJ! Have fun shopping!
Bengay for everyone here? Poor you ladies! If you rub yourself with that before going outside, the mosquitoes will stay away too :D
Morning Cindy. I'll take this weather we have here anytime. Perfect cool evenings and just right afternoons.
It's about that time for me Marion to take stock of what I want to overwinter in the makeshift gh, and what I had to say bye bye to. Got to prioritize space, as Kel still hadn't start on turning the deck/porch into a sunroom.
That's a pretty pattern Debra. My quilt store owner advised us, that flannel is the best to use for raggy quilts. They fray easily.
Here's another one http://www.quickquilts.com/golden/qg90_pattern/

Ferndale, AR(Zone 7b)

That is a cute one, Jaye. I saved it to my crafting file.

Marion, if BJ hasn't already sent it to you, dmail me your email address and I'll be glad to share it with you.

Well, worked outside for a while. Got three more azaleas transplanted, threw out some fertilizer, watered, and realized I don't have the energy to work outside today. LOL! Solves the problem about when to start work on the rag purses!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Good morning everyone!!!
Oh my, I finally found the new thread. Don't know why they don't automatically show up???
ANyway. I got rested up from the week-end. I had a wondeful time with my Granddaughter. She is growing so fast.
IF my Dr, is in his office, I should get my stitches out on Thursday. If not they will come out anyways!!!
Then hubby and I have to go buy a new truck. Ours has this terrible vibration in the front end. We have had it in the chevy garage several time, front end alignment... Nothing seems to work, and it is eating up $200.00 tires. So a new one will be coming home with us. Guess we allways have a vehicle payment??? Oh well.
How are you all doing? Sorry to hear some of you were not feling well this week-end. I do hope your feeling better now!
Don't work too hard oout in the garden!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Debra, that would be great!

Oh Jaye, how can you stand to part with any plant. It just kills me when I have to take out the annuals!!! Guess that is why I don't use many. BTW, the gingers are looking really good!!! I talk to them just about every day. Now don't laugh, you are suppose to talk to your plants other than when they aren't growing well!!! Keeps 'em happy.

Little noisy here today. Next door neighbor is having to have 3 huge pines taken out as they are infested with beetles. Glad there are no pines on my lot!! I keep thinking we are having an earthquake when the sections fall!

Still rather nice outside but not a pleasant day for yard work. Oh well, I really do need to stay at my inside chores.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Marion, you are not crazy for talking to your plants, I talk to my house plants and play music all day long. Maybe that's why my house is starting to look like a jungle LOL

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Oh I am so happy to know I am not alone in that area!! They do do better don't they?

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Lolol!!! Marion and Cindy, I think me and Kel are giving our plants a complex.. they seem to be rebelling.
I play jazz, blues and hyms... and here comes Kel, blasting his reggae!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I think we all talk to our plants, tell them how beautiful they are doing, asking them whats wrong??? LOL
I do it all the time.
It is so nice here this morning. I had the front and back door open for a while, but had to close them due to the darn mosquitoes!!! They are so bad here.
Ladies don't work too hard, and Marion, BJ, I just may have to ask for the rag purse instructions??? It looks so cute.
Linda Kay

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Okay, so we have lots of company Cindy. That is really good to know. Jaye, mine get a lot of musicals--currently Sweeny Todd. Sure hope that doesn't turn them in to cannibals!! LOL

LK isn't that the cutest bag? I don't have the instructions yet but I am more than willing to share if Debra doesn't mind.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I listen to all kinds of music here. I like Santana, old time rock and roll, staind, pink floyd, linkin park, led zepplin, pat metheny, crosby stills & nash.... as well as classical, jazz, blues.... So they are well rounded plants.
LK

(Phyllis) Flint,, TX(Zone 7b)

what the saying about idle hands ...forget what it is but that's me ...LOL prefer to keep busy in someway even when watching tv usually but on occasion I'll do nothing but veg out.
T & P for the boy from here too

those are some cute purses too

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

I've opened the Recipe Box Swap

http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/908100/

Wow, I ordered some priority boxes from PO over the week end mail lady just delivered them.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Thanks for the reminder Cindy. I ordered mine a month ago, the large size triangular boxes and the tapes..nothin'!! Guess I have to reorder.
Phyllis, I have a hard time finding the initiative to do something...unlike BJ and you.
But once I get moving, don't stop me now!
Marion, anytime is a right time for dreaming quilts! Oh well, just got word that one of my fav. quilting store is closing down. How can they survive when fabric prices are so outrageous nowadays. So, I think I'll just stock up on blades and thread.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I ordered mail boxes also, and they came on different days. I had mail boxes delivered 3 different days last week, and I still can't find the priority tape? They don't offer it anymore. Just the lables.
Linda Kay

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

LK, I ordered my triangular boxes a month ago, and the tapes. Still didn't get them!

(Phyllis) Flint,, TX(Zone 7b)

ok I am missing something here triangular boxes????

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Yes Phyllis. They are long, and narrow... perfect for cuttings and even whole plants, provided you cram the leaves, or remove them.

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Well, back from Dallas, and got all our stops done, and ate at Red Lobster... we're waddling now...

Don got 6 new fish for the fish tank... hope they live... the one he had is a meanie, and is already attacking the new ones... told him so... but he wouldn't listen.

AND I got more stuff to do some different kind of clay projects... LOL... hehehe...

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Better than watching paint dry, eh BJ?
At least you're out of the house and having dinner served ^_^

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Yep... that part was nice...
And so rarely happens.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

So, what's gonna happen to that meanie? A fish fry?

Ferndale, AR(Zone 7b)

Fish anger management?

Ferndale, AR(Zone 7b)

Maybe he needs a copy of "How to Win Fins and Influence Guppies"
