I store my water in Milk jugs it took a long time for me to get those because I barly drink Milk
Cindy when I didn't work and moved into an Apartment and couldn't aford things I went to look for sheets for covers I made curtains ,Shower covers and couch and chair cover I don't sew and have just learned to sew a button on so I use alot of the seams to make the curtins stay on rods and Velcrow. But if you ask me how to do Demolation knot down buildings I can tell you how ^_^ Maybe one day I will learn to spell but that make the story funny

Found some photos. Keep in mind the living room is really the only room completely furnished in this house!

This is the kitchen soon after we moved in. Not much has changed.

My favorite part is the farmhouse sink. It's great for big pots, pans and cookie sheets.

SOMETIMES means that I only miss you when you're not here... silly girl.

And the dining room ...... I've been waiting to furnish it for 5 years and was ready to do it this summer until I found out all the $ I saved up was going to my daughter's wedding. (my ex is contributing a big fat -0- .... don't get me started) But that's ok - she comes first and we're having fun planning the wedding.

We had chosen the fabric for drapery, the new dining room table and chairs, the rug and two bar stools. This photo was taken while we had a rug on loan to check the color. Our permanent rug will be the same but larger cause the table will be larger. The drapery has a faded out black background with greens, rust, golds, etc. The two slipcovered chairs are new - they were purchased before I knew about the wedding situation. Whenever we do get it furnished I'll be so happy. We host Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter here every year and have 10-15 folks.

I am so mad-I called the PO today cuz Kathy and my hyacinths are showing delivered on Wed this week!! Well, the mail lady remembers them, but thought she put them in a box that is empty!! UGH!!

Cindy-you need a light color on your celing-it has dark shadows-what shades pf purple and blues do you have?? I was thinking in the grey family-real light almost white-maybe some trusses to outline the strong lines in the ceiling...

I wont be getting into the recipe box swap, I am not showing my kitchen unless there is a prize that I get a total make over. My kitchen can not ever compare.

OK, explain recipe box swap? You sent recipes or the box? Why not a cookbook swap.. like from your state to your buddy.

The Recipe Box swap will be a purchased or homemade box to match your buddies kitchen and them put in recipes. I will explain in more detail when I start the thread on Oct 1. O.K.

yep them, I can not get ahold of anybody to complain. Oh well it was only 28 bucks. I guess i can glance thru it.

I can't wait-I need a nice box-I have a plastic crappy one now-all yucky looking too-stuff on it!!LOL I would love one with purples and blues w/ iris on it!! Hint hint buddy^_^

Everything we get like that goes on the passenger seat of my car-I take my pen out right then and there and put return to sender and take it right to the PO or at the very least on my way home form work the next day-I figure-I have to save for the things I want, so why let $$ go down the drain for things I don't!! Oh no-not this lady:)

Well Cindy, as of today, I got 166 cookbooks. Got a new one yesterday. They should have enough recipes for me :D

Our carpet is sort of country blue & med purple not real dark

I don't like gray sorry Stacey, that is the color of bathroom cabinets and I'm going to paint them dark blue like the tile, then the walls lavender

I guess it will make good bathroom material.
