Congratulations Grandma! So happy everyone is doing well! Hugs and kisses to the family and specially you!

(Cathy), MO

Hi everyone. Sounds like there's still alot of cleanup going on with our southern hotties. Just glad no one was hurt.

I got the hyacinths all in the mail at lunch time so I can relax! Now starting on an Amaryllis coop! LOL. Anyone need some gorgeous Amaryllis for Christmas??? I am planning on doing up basket or pots of both and giving to people.

So many problems with our families and kids etc. Hoping all goes well next week Sandy. One of my co-workers has guardianship of a little one and the mom decided she wants her back now. She's going thru all kinds of stuff with that. Sad for the little ones

NE, KS(Zone 5b)

WooHooo! He's here! He's here! Aidan.. Nana and Siobhan's garden helper!!! (in about 10-15 years) lol Congrats to the whole Donna family! If we have to wait till tomorrow for a pic, we can.. waited a lot longer on brug blooms ;) Enjoy your evening, Hottie Donna.

Saying Hello and good afternoon to all Hotties! We escaped damage.Yes Phyllis, our weather sounds exactly like yours☻My Mom has probably the biggest Silver Maple in the Valley,250 years old and it is mammoth. The side branches are as big as trunks of regular size trees and she lost 3 massive branches. It just missed the electric wires to the garage. So all of us kids that burn wood and grand kids are going up with chain saws and start cutting and hauling,a backbreaking job for sure. I'll try to get a pic or 2 if I am not too pooped, like I'll be much help,Duh!

I am so glad everyone is OK and safe on the Hottie network. AuntB, I am a sweaty Hottie only☺☺☺

Hi Clem, congrats Donna, sounds like a super duper bundle of joy☺Hugs and more Hugs to all Hotties posting here.

NE, KS(Zone 5b)

Nope. LU :) I still say you are a Hot (sweaty) Hottie (beautiful person). You should be the finger-pointer when your family converges on the tree-size limbs. You can supervise. Glad it wasn't totally destroyed. It will fill in and in a year or two, you won't be able to tell it... er, you will, but it will fill in and regenerate. I wanted to post a pic of my PG Hydrangea tree, the blooms are turning pink, I think Phyllis posted hers and they seemed more conical.. So, here's my pink girly ball shaped ones.

DEAREST POSYBLOSSOM, I ASSURE U I AM NOT SWEATY. WE BATHE HERE IN ARKANSAS AT LEAST EVERY WEEK. LOL.

(Cathy), MO

All right Miss Posy and mr Wolfie...is there a little "flirting" going on beihnd the rest of our backs!!!??? LOL What's this sweaty talk?? :-)

(Louise) Palm Bay, FL(Zone 9b)

Becky, you dear I love your attitude. You are so upbeat. Karen I love those cartoon, keep them coming. Hey to everyone, had more grooms today and yesterday..yay!
Wolfie I love black walnuts but I HATE shucking them. Yum on the pears. I had to look up your plant, never have seen one before, it is lovely!
Donna!!!! Congrats!!!! That is a HUGE baby! Poor girl! Ouch! lol. I am so glad your new GS is well...pics....pics!!!
Audrey so glad you are ok with that tree branch. We had lots of wind here too. My yard is a disaster. All of my mutant 4 foot tall marigolds are flattened and my bruggies had some leaf damage. My begonia got pruned too! All of the tall plants got pushed around pretty good. Darn that Ike! Lovely day here today and supposed to be nice all week thank goodness!

(Karen) Frankston, TX(Zone 8a)

HAHAHAA, Wolfie, you're a mess!!! I wish I had some pears to can. I hate it about your Walnuts. I have 2 of the best Pecan trees in Texas, huge producers, and I believe I lost every one of them green to the storm. Becky I will let you know if there are any for you to pick up like we talked about.

Donna, oh I'm so happy for you and family. Little Aidan.....I know you are a sight trying to wait to see him!

Becky, I did clean up today and it wasn't too bad....We weren't able to get a chainsaw so we peeled the worst of the tree down and cut it off, chainsawing will have to wait till later.

I lost my shade tree but good news is, I now have a new "bench", "birdbath rest" or "plant stand", hahahaa!

Aunt B, love love love those pretty flowers! Hey Miss Posy and Clemen! How are you two today? Loves to all!

Hey Louise, any seed heads on them tall marigolds? :)
Wolfie, you're a cutie and the pic looks like a workin' man to me! I'm SO SO glad you posted a pic of the REAL Iochroma, I been patiently waiting for you to post it, again... I would have asked, but I wasn't sure you realized you posted the same pic 2X up on the thread.. See, I wait on a lot of things, not just brug blooms! I saw some seed for white Iochroma on ebay today.... ooops! Now WHAT was I looking at plants on ebay for????? lol 10 seeds for $4.95... The red ones are pretty to but I like the purple ones best. Next summer when it's real big, maybe I could try a cutting or two? I have some purty brugs I could trade ya. And by then who knows what I'll have! I'm afraid if you don't get those pears given away or worked up, ya won't have your bath tub by Saturday night (bath night, right?)...
Donna is probably kissin' and cooin' all over that new baby by now... nothin sweeter, not even brugs blooming.

Becky thinks I need to share my story...And it defines what DH Means
Here's the story on the Fiasco with the wood furnance...
Friday we went and picked up the new wood furnance..
They loaded it up on the back of our pickup truck...
We get home and I wanted him to call our SIL's To help him unload it and get it in the cellar...
The DH Says......I CAN DO IT BY MYSELF..It only weighs about 500 pounds....yeah right...At this point DH stands for Dumb Head...
Asked me whats the worse thing that can happen.... I said You can drop it.....TEEHEEHEE
he got his sister's little backhoe and tried to unload it off the back of the truck....TEEHEEHEE
It slipped and he dropped it....TEEHEEHEE
But it was finally off the truck...
He rigged up boards to place it on and slide it into the cellar...
He dropped it yet again....TEEHEEHEE....BY MYSELF...hummmmm
Finally my SIL John and DSD Katrina must have heard all the noise and came down to investigate..TG
Well the box came off the furnance and low and behold...there is a hook that you can hook up to to lift it....TEEHEEHEE
Well John helped him get it into the cellar and DD Amanda and other SIL Toby showed up...
So they started banging out the dents and dings....
No permanent damage...Just to his EGO..
Amanda had the chain he needed..
Well Saturday John and Katrina came down and took control of putting all the rest of the parts on...Fan... Thermodisc...ect
I went and got the special made top and they got that on too...
Then I cooked a big Thank You For Your Help Dinner.....Baked Ham..mac and cheese..mashed potatoes and gravy and corn on the cob..

So it was only about a 100 degrees in the house already and he decides he's gonna test it out to made sure the chimmny pipe was working right....
Thank god the registers weren't hooked up yet...
We got them hooked up yesterday...
Yep DUMB HEAD

A sweet lil angel!!

Midwest City, OK(Zone 7b)

There is nothing like a beautiful baby to make us all so happy. Donna and family, Big Congratulations!

Ya'll bathe? With water? That's for the field and plants. You go down to the riverbed and find some real fine sand, and use that for scouring. It's the best exfoliant you will ever find. Cleans you right up and takes all of that old dead skin off too. Then, if you are lucky enough to have it, lather up with bear tallow (fat). It can't be rancid and a little dab will do your whole body. (Crisco is the next best.)
It's easy....

And now I can't even finish the whole story I was going to write about how to dye your hair with berry juice... Oops, got too tickled. LOL...

Werewolfie, it is a full moon tonight, ya okay?

I have written for a living as a newspaper reporter and I have one Oklahoma Land Run book started and stuck in the 20th chapter, oh man, is it stuck! But if we keep this up, I may do a Hotties story, everybody who is innocent will get their name changed. :)))))

Night ya'll. Love ya, and just being ornery, okay? Peg

Nassau County, NY(Zone 7a)

Peg you are a lovely person! Love ya girl

Midwest City, OK(Zone 7b)

Just being ornery, I will change your names, promise. Peg

(Louise) Palm Bay, FL(Zone 9b)

Oh my gosh that baby doesnt look like a newborn he is so big!!! Tell her if she waited just a bit longer she could have popped out a college student!! He is ADORABLE!!!! Congrats!!!! Bonnie I am sure I will have seeds if I can find enough stuff to prop the darn things up with. I have orange yellow and a very cool pale yellowish green color. The flowers are almost four inches across. Never have seen marigolds that big in my LIFE. Never heard of back of the border marigolds before! I thought they were all short! Of course I planted them along my patio yard edge for a nice short little border...snort...I have a wall of marigolds there! Phyllis I was laughing like a loon at that story!!!! Hilarious! Karen you and Becky are my heros!!! Such positive attitudes after that mess...Hugs!

(Louise) Palm Bay, FL(Zone 9b)

Haha Peg nothin innocent about me so you can use my name LOL. I can be naive at times though lol.

NE, KS(Zone 5b)

Clemen, I was out there vegging and I could have been in here chatting it up with you! I didn't realize it was so late, until I looked at the clock and thought ... Aidan, Donna may have posted pics, I HAD to stir around and come see.. let me catch up..

Midwest City, OK(Zone 7b)

Dear Clem, I love ya too, and all of our other hotties!

We have such a great group from everywhere, and adding new ones. There is not anything wrong with finding good people, anywhere! And we have been pretty lucky, some problems, some sorrows but still the Hotties still keep on. And Kim, when you first started #1, "She's about to" did you ever dream it would turn into this???

And that was totally nonfiction. Night, everybody, sweet dreams and sweet brugs. Peg

NE, KS(Zone 5b)
