mmm..... better watch it BJ he'll com e up wtih something else later and say you owe him ...ROFL
Warts???? ROFLMAO I don't think it takes 8 wks to recover from warts
it is called
planter fasciitis..I have it for sure in my right foot and think it is starting in my left.
have picked up the arch support at walley world that are adhesive and super glued them into my scandals so I can still wear scandals it gets way to hot on the dang bus for tennies ...ok get up off the floor now from laughing at my super glue supports...have high arches and they said supports and will have more trouble if I don't use supports
♥Sweet Interruption♥ 22
DD had them as a result of marching and it did take about 8 - 10 weeks to heal. Wasn't surgery was soaking daily in some awful smelling mix. Long drawn out process. The made it difficult to walk.
I've had platar fasciitis since Feb. It last as long as 18 months. Some people never recover from it. As a matter of fact that is what Linda Kay is having sugery for.
When I was working, Phyllis, the support for my arches didn't work. Cause my feet are too wide. So I stuffed foam into them, and they helped. Especially when I average about 3 miles a day of walking.
Oh, he usually gets what he wants... but so do I... so, everything we do for each other is a good trade.
Marion... looks like you're either getting some of Ike right now, or will shortly...
Oh, and I talked to Kathy just a while ago... she's nursing hubby with a hurt back...
She'll be back with us soon... I hope.
Good evening! Linda Kay, I'm so glad you like your pillow. The important thing is to USE IT and not be up and around on that foot.
Too much going on to catch up. Would you believe the plan was to make chicken and dumplings for dinner? Got home and discovered Woody had jumped the fence again. Someone found him walking down the paved road and took him to our vet. He's been held there all day without bond. Had to go pick him up. What, oh what, are we going to do with him?
Cindy, your Angel Delight sounds yummy. It is very similar to a recipe my mother made. Hers did not have the lemon ingrediants, but did have a tub of Cool-Whip. The angel food cake gives it a nice texture. She always made it for Valentines in a Tupperware jello mold with the little interchangable designs on top. Remember those? She used the heart of course and filled it with jello/strawberry juice to make a little valentine on top. It warmed my heart when my 25 yr old daughter used her recipe to make it for her fiance'.
Keeping all those anywhere near Ike's path in my prayers.
Marion,
Your daughter was lucky. I hate getting up in the morning because that is when they hurt the most. Even after wearing a splint all night long. I have to ice mine 3-4 times a day and stretch. I think I'm having a hard time because my whole body is full of arthritis.
Few more minutes to Project Runway. So, I'd be away from y'all.
I miss my buddy Joey. We tend to cheer the same fledgling designers.
:">
Save that peach pie for me Tia, Tina, I don't care!
Oh no, what did Mike do? I know she had mentioned she had another sinus infection and I was afraid she was down. It's bad enough as it is. He does come first.
Now quite that lucky Cindy, she was just starting her teaching job and had to wear a certain type shoe precribed by the podiotrist which did not confirm to dress policy. Took a while but the administration finally understood. Still has some times she has to be careful.

I went to podiotrist yesterday. He glue cushions in the only shoes that I can wear, gave me scrip for Vicodin, sent me for x-rays. Said my feet were tore up, may need surgery.
Remember the other day we were talking about how the animals are acting a bit strange? I saw dozens of possums, dead on the road and on the side of the road... someone else had coyotes, and their dogs were acting funny... well, Kathy told me today her chickens are driving her nuts now too.. really acting strange.
So, I mentioned it to Don.. and he told me something I didn't consider...
Guess you all know about that "Big Bang" experiment they've been building over in Europe... it's built underground and crosses about 4 countries borders...
Well, anyway, they tested it for the first time night before last (when all the animals started going nuts)... which would have been day time over there... wonder if it omitted a sound only the animals can hear, and we can't?
I have high arches and narrow heels...lucky me
this started up again last November when I was working as a sous chef. got to the pint I could hardly walk on my right foot.
I do the stretches every morning as it does hurt when I get out of bed and I also do them throughout the day as sitting on the bus driving doesn't help either...not does any time I am sitting not waling on my feet they ache when I get up.
have had the shot ...ouch....no more of those as it didn't help .....the podiatrist they sent me to moved so he sent me to his associate and he wants to do custom made supports for a year before he will consider surgery but that is to the tune of $600 and insurance does not cover the supports, but it does cover surgery.
And I know I walk different now too and yes I have bought some new shoes too for better support and have picked up more arch supports as they wear out
Cindy, I'm so sorry you are having feet problems too. Do what you need to do to get them healed. I know you must be in agony hurting all the time and not being able to wear any type of shoe you'd like. Keep us up todate on what's going on. Did he say exactly what the problem was? Bone spurs or something like that?
Hadn't thought about that. Could be.
My mom had bad problems with her feet... I pray I don't inherit that part of her...
hmmmmmmmmm weird you would say that BJ, my dog were barking like crazy yesterday at nothing. The cats were all over me like white on rice. I didnt notice anything with the chickens tho. But I was not here most of the day yesterday.
BJ, animals can hear sounds we can't, but I don't know about all the way from Europe. Maybe they felt a ground tremor we can't detect? Strange isn't it.
Yea... that could be it too... but who knows how far some wave lengths can travel?... I don't know... but there's been a lot of talk here about strange acting animals, and Don's co workers told some stories too...
Well Iran did have an earthquake yesterday or was it today? 6.5 I think is what I heard.
maybe they are gettin ready for Ike too and are acting all crazy like some people do ?LOL
I do have 2 bone spurs in my right foot. Will get results after xrays tomarrow.
There's a website that has all kinds of things for feet
www.footsmart.com
That is where I got my night splint.
Well, one of the concerns of the experiment they had was that it would cause tremors and trigger earthquakes... there were some "dooms day" theories going around about the day they tested it, the world would come to an end...
But, we're still here and fearing a hurricane... go figure.
my daughter gets that catalog has alot of neat things in it for feet
Does it sell someone who will come give foot rubs? If so send catalogue ASAP!!!!!!
nope no people sold in it LOL but they do sell massagers
Shucks!! I wanted a tall dark handsome guy to come each night and give me a nice foot message then leave!!! Bummer for sure.
I know would be nice I end up doing it myself or using the hand massager I got when I was taking massage classes back in IL.
This is me, going to bed.
Night Night everyone.
niters Bj
I'm headed out too have had to reconnect 10 times just to get the last 2 posts in for some reason it keeps kickin me of.
sleep well girls
Well, everybody, just leaving? sigh. Guess I could work on my to-do list for tomorrows gardening chores.
I'm going soon as it will be a long busy day tomorrow.
Nite ladies, sweet dreams.
Please, for those of you that have bad feet, make sure you never wear flip flops or flat shoes. It is the worst thing one can do!
Take care of your feet now.
Linda Kay
Ok all of you, don’t let Ike mess you up. Prayers going your way that you all stay safe and all your property make it through unscathed.
Well I’ve joined the sick people. I don’t know what’s wrong, but I’m cold and nauseous. It really sucks. I hope I’m not coming down with something serious.
Jaye, I’m sure she has a name, but all I know at this point is she’s a Greenwoman. Greenwomen are the female version of Greenmen, though it far rarer to see one. Here is one of my favorites.
I have three azaleas I don’t want, to bad they came with the house. How do you propagate them?
Marion, I agree that it takes a long time to catch up. I’m so far behind on DG threads. I think I’m a week behind on looking at new threads.
What are some of the previous themes?
Queen Anne’s Lace is listed on the invasive weed list for Washington, we have tons of it wild here.
Stacey, I had no clue Queen Anne’s Lace would do that, we used carnations. I bet my DSD would love to try that.
Laura your sketch of the Greenwoman looks much better than that fountain. So sorry to read you're ill. I do hope you take your own advice to heart, lots of chicken soup with herbs, and if you can't hold it down, perhaps try one of the sistahs' suggestion, Pedialyte.
Need we say, rest please?
Never grown azaleas, maybe Deborah can answer that? Perhaps you might cut a twig, score the lower bark, dip it in rooting hormone, and stick it in a moist medium?
Think it's time for me to do a new room.
On to a new room sistahs..
