Good mornin.... just crawling out of bed here.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning, I have extra coffee here, anyone care for a cup? Who has the sweet rolls???
ladies be good, and don't over do it.
Linda Kay

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

*sigh*... a sweet roll would be nice... but Don ate the last one...
He did make the coffee this morning... fresh pot on the burner... MMmmmm

Ferndale, AR(Zone 7b)

Good morning, Linda Kay. Good morning, BJ.

Need to get off this 'puter and get dressed. Lots of outdoor work today. Continuation of this weekend's projects. Also have ingredients for a pot of soup thawing. Have been freezing chicken broth and left over veggies for soup mak'ins.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Oh my, Here I sit still in my jammies. I have been out to the garden, watered and fertilized everything, and about to get my 2nd cup of coffee. Guess it is time for a shower, and get the house cleaned a bit.
Later girls

I've been out this morning to plant 2 Aristolochia vines, spearmint, peppermint and irises. Still have dl's, more irses and Hostas to plant. Is there no end to my maddness?

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

I don't think so Deborah... you're just a planing fool... wish I had your energy this early in the morn.

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

Maybe Betty's rubbing off on me?

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Quick check, jsut brought a load of laundry to fold but couldn't pass the computer without checking really fast.

Deborah, I hope you don't stop planting otherwise you and Donna won't go to the nursery festival with me. Plant away my dear, just plant, plant, plant.

Ah BJ, so nice to be spoiled!! You do the same for him I am sure. DD left me coffee but I was up before she left this morning. Think I ruined her entire day!!! Not use to seeing me downstairs before she goes to work. LOL

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Marion, dear... I can't imagine you ruining anybody's day. You probably made her day with your beaming smile to see her off.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Not before I have that first cup of coffee for sure!!! Yes, she was surprised and gave us a few minutes to chat about dinner. Wouldn't you know it, just got an email, she wants something else!!!

(Audrey) Dyersburg, TN(Zone 7a)

I've been sitting here trying to catch up! Have to get dressed and go to the PO to mail my stuff. Forgot to get cat litter yesterday, so back to WM.I'm gonna try and repot at least one brug today. Just finished my pot of coffee, guess I'd better get dressed!
Later, dudettes!

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Marion, when is your craft festival, thingy? ;o)

(Laura) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Sorry if I missed anything. I got the kids off to school, and they were special this morning, about where you all started talking this morning, so I just skimmed from there. I want to go back to bed.

My DH doesn’t bother me when he comes to bed, though it is rare that he comes to bed after I do. The one that drives me nuts is that he’ll tell me to sleep in, get up and then make so much noise and walk back and forth through the bedroom so often that with my sleep issues there is no way I could continue to sleep.

Cindy, My DH and DSD are like that. DSD will actually sleep through my old alarm clock every now and then; it wakes me up downstairs in my bedroom on days like this, and sometimes on days where she does get up to it. That’s the reason I won’t let her get up long before I do. The alarm clock, for me, is the most annoying one I could find in about 10 years.

Though they do occasionally talk in their sleep, which is entertaining if nothing else. DH actually started talking to me as I was falling asleep once. I talked to him for about a min. before I realized he wasn’t making any sense and therefore was actually asleep. He had no memory of it in the morning.

Though he did wake up the first time I said “I love you”. He’d been out for awhile and I’d been having trouble sleeping so I was laying there watching him sleep. This was probably about a week after we started actually sleeping together; I knew he couldn’t “hear” me so I actually told him how I felt about him. He heard all of it. I figure it was meant to be, because I’ve done the same type thing several times since than with him not waking up.

I knew the first time we went for a walk that he was the one I wanted to marry. It was hard meshing that knowledge with not wanting to scare him off and the “waiting” periods society expects. We actually got engaged about 6 mo. after we started dating and for various reasons we were married before we had been together a year. I knew a lot of people that bashed me fairly hard for that decision.

waving good morning to all !!

how's everyone? I've read enough to know only that family members are doing better

Nope - if you've caught the iris virus, Deb, it's incurable. I'm dmailing you in a minute.

a month or so ago, on top of all our other financial problems, the washing machine died, so we used the opportunity to get one with that new "sanitizing steam" cycle - good for all my and DD's allergies. DS wanted to buy the old one. We finally took it outside 3 weeks ago to load it up = he couldn't get his old van started. It's been sitting under a tarp, hurricane and all.

Gave up - listed it on Craigs list and it's gone to a very nice man would only wanted it for the $250 part we had to put in it last year. I'm going to look around here for other junk - Lord knows I've got a lot. Have ten folks looking through Craigslist at my old convertible.

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Well, Deborah... I don't know whether to thank you or to fuss at you...

I felt guilty about letting some beds get so out of control, those ones that I haven't paid attention to in months... that with all you're doing in your yard, I decided to go out and get that bed weeded today... in between all the other I had to do... sheesh.
Well, I got out there and started pulling, and found caterpillars... looked closer, and found some crystalis... so, I stopped... right in my tracks and now I refuse to finish. They're on all that milk weed that grows here like weeds, and I've pulled that milk weed in all my other beds.

So, that bed still looks like crap... but I'm so excited !!!

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

So, now I'm off to the grocery store instead... see ya'll later.

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

Monarchs will thank you for leaving that one unweeded. LOL A strain of last generation Monarchs will head to Mexico and live 9 months to come back to you and lay eggs for the first time in the spring. So be nice and untidy!

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

Oh, and Debra had mentioned that on a post somewhere. I forgot to comment on it.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Ooh, I like that.. be nice and untidy!!
My poor church sistah got the shock of her life, when she's thinking she's being helpful. She was pulling out some milkweeds saying I need to weed!!! She can't believe I want them around!

Well, think I'll post on my personal info, my quirks and dislikes?? Ohh.. my likes and wants.. is it??

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Break time. Joyce it is really a garden festival but we do have some craft vendors. March 21 and 22, 2009. Coming?

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Is that the one you run, Marion?

Wouldn't I love to be in sunny Florida in March!!! Where is it located?

Raleigh, NC

been catching up on my reading. our Hope was a rescued dog - she came up and goosed me as I was removing a lockbox off a door at dusk on a drizzly cold night. She was beautiful, and her eyes were so filled with hope that I'd let her in that nice dry house my client was buying the next morning 0 NOT! white carpet. A dog person, my client arrived for her walkthrough and immediately noticed her ribs showing and no collar. she got together with her new neighbors and arranged to have them put her behind their fence and put out posters. She called me back when they'd given up and were pound bound. DH was peeved when I drove them to pick up "our new dog" but he got over that when he saw those eyes that begged with hope," love me please." When he lost his job and was home for 18 months without work, she stayed at his side and gave him her hope. he says she kept him sane.

She loves any dog that won't hurt her, and all people, but she's he-- on cats, deer, rabbits and especially squirrels. Unfortuantely, she chased a squirrel at our deck-top birdfeeder and dumped my swap jar right off the deck...

Ferndale, AR(Zone 7b)

Deborah, does that mean the cats out there now will eclose in time for the Monarchs to go to Mexico? I guess they have to if Monarch's don't overwinter here. (once again - this one is so easily confused. Maybe a hamburger/bun analogy would help? lol!) Isn't that amazing how there can be several generations, then all of a sudden, one generation just knows to head to Mexico.

BJ, does that make you feel better about not weeding? You are doing nature a big favor!

Jaye, quirks and dislikes will help us get to know you even better! It all makes us feel like we've 'met' each other. Just thought it would help for future swaps or any other time we need a little help coming up with ideas.

Marion, maybe my DH would be willing to take a few days to visit his brother in Crestview during the time of your garden festival. I could go with him and wander on over to the festival. It sounds like a well run and highly attended event. Hmmm.....will work on that.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Joyce and others, I am the chairman but it takes a whole committee to run something like this. I just "holler" at everyone to keep them on track. LOL

Well Joyce, come on down early and I will give you a first view of what is going on from layout to shutdown!! ....and if that sounds like helping--well it is!!! Always need more hands the final 4 days or so. Just mark your calendar and let me know.
Debra you too but it will be about a 4 hour drive for you.

Just to see the location check out Kanapaha Botanical Gardens and you can see the area we use. Anyone else want to come help? LOL

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Kanapaha....sounds like Hawaii to me!

I'm so there! Hawaii, I mean. I'll have to work on the festival!

Ferndale, AR(Zone 7b)

Marion, you're right. 4 hrs 22 mins from Crestview. Phooey! It's a ways from Havana, too.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Okay Debra, I did it! Think it's a good idea. If my interests read vague to any of y'all, dmail me :D

Ferndale, AR(Zone 7b)

That's great, Jaye! I learned some things about you already!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Nope not Hawaii, but Gainesville Florida==2 1/2 hours south of where I live. Do you mean you will have to work on coming or if you come you will have to work? How about both. LOL Will get a free tshirt though.

Joey in Conroe, TX(Zone 8b)

Hey I'm checking in. Still feel like poop. Z and I just got up and he's eating something, which is good. Wish I could lose this headache. Talk to y'all later!

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

Raleigh, NC

joey, wish I could send you a bucket of chicken soup. Strep is the worst. How's it expect a chatty woman to exist when it hurts to talk? or to think!

Get to feeling better sweetie.

editted to add - heh! Sistahs - y'all get out your vitamin bottles and Cold-eze tabs. Not good everyone getting sick now - there's plants and planting to do - it's perennial time!
