The bear was already in residence here before the army of Ladybugs joined. Linda Kay they are so cute. I am attaching them to the piece of drift wood I picked up in Canada many, many years ago. I love them each and everyone. Some did slide behind the wood while I was taking a picture.
Also I got these. Now I can't wait to get my quilting books unpacked and on a bookshelf.

Trisha your mom's woodworking talent would bring a fortune here in Georgia! We eat woodworking projects up! That's a main attraction at arts and crafts shows around here but I've never seen a wall plaque Canadian Goose at any of the shows. Most of the woodworking I see, is duplicated at each booth. Sometimes I wonder if they pass their patterns around. Kudos to your mom! I'm proud of her talent. I know you are!
Deborah
Trisha those are so nice. Talented Mom you have there for sure.
using one of those would be alot easier then using one of those gas powered limb trimmers to do the job for hollowing something out
examples below :-)
oh and Bj sorry it didn't' leave you much rain as it is Pouring down right now to where direct tv is out ..woudl send it back your way if I could LOL
Deborah, when, where? What type of craft show? Worth a trip up there?
One more picture posted of all these talented people and I am out of here for sure. Talk about having 2 left hands!!!!! LOL
Oh my yes. What a ladybug I don't have? You were hiding it from me Trish!! Shame on you.
OMG... Jaw dropping gorgeous!!!
Trish, I'd love to meet your mum!! Incredible work!
Joey has some good company here.. You too Phyllis!! Incredible talent! So you 'turn' wood into bowls? C'est magnifique!!
Marion, you deserve all the love and more... can't believe this group can boast of so many talented Sistahs... Wow, wow, wow LK!!!
Deborah you are right into thinking those patterns were passed around. There's this arts seller I met, and she sells templates/patterns to other art/crafts vendors. Good thing is they are all made in USA.
I wish she still did some of these things! Mostly does rubber stamping and cardmaking these days. She did sell tons of it but I never could get her to charge what it was worth!!
She will still go out and build a shelf, or a storage unit to hold all her extra bath tissue and paper towel, or anything else she decides she wants but doesn't want to buy.
I love the carved wood.....there is a guy at our farmers market that makes some really nice ones.
Marion, definately worth a trip to Mossy Creek Barnyard Festival. It's just up the road from me about 30 minutes in Perry GA. Rated one of the top 20 events in the Southeast and one of the top 100 in North America. You'll be at your class reunion for the fall event, I think? It's Oct 18 & 19. There's a spring event in April on th 18 & 19 next year. When is your spring event in Fla?

I want to we have a bit of wood form trees we have cleared out that I could use ...I'm all out of wisteria since we cleaned that up last fall and I used what I had to make baskets that I gave as gifts for x-mas ...so I'm always lookin at uses for stuff around here LOL
Wow... folk artists in our midst!!
Oh Deborah, I have heard about that festival for sure. Nope class reunion isn't until October 24th. Hummm might have to take a road trip.
Our festival is March 21 and 22nd. However I am in Gainesville from March 17th until the 23rd. Yeap lots to do before hand. I told Joyce if she would come I would let her see the festival first hand--yes, work with me. Give her a free tshirt for her efforts. Same offer Deborah. LOL
Intimadating isn't it Jaye?
Yes it is, but it just makes me more determined to be better at my craft!! And that is shopping!!
Jokes aside...think I'll stick to stick drawings..
OH com e on now everyone has something special about them in some way some are good at different crafts some have a special way about them that makes them unique...don't be intimidated
I can't even do that!!! They do inspire one that is for sure.
I can boil water though. Sometimes when I am really careful I can walk and chew bubble gum.
WHAT? Me intimidated? Nope not me! Just plain ole dumb founded at all this talent in one thread!!
Wooohoooo.... there are some things we can't compete with Marion.
She has seen the world and experience life more than us..and she's still down to earth.. That my sistahs, is God given talent! It's not easy being humble ^_^
Me? I don't think so Jaye, I know for a fact you have seen a lot of this world too! Read the other post, everyone is very well traveled here. I'm just mouthier than the others.
Shucks Jaye, if I get lucky I might go to Two Egg this weekend.
Well, don't blink if you do!
Ah ha! so you have been to Two Egg also?
What's Two Eggs...
A "blink" oops you passed it--in the road called a town.
too much fun. beddy bye time. Nite y'all. Sweet dreams and every one be safe tonight. And take those vitamins!
ROFLMAO
Me too. The laundry and sanding woodwork today has done me in. Night .
Nite Bon.. think I'll go blink blink too..
Joey..hope you are up to your usual self tomorrow.
Nite my sistahs :x
oh thanks bon you reminded me ...the extra vitamin C and chicken noodle soup (homemade) was found in a study done about 4 yrs ago( reported on TV in College Station Texas at Christmas time) to help fight and cure colds and I know for me taking the extra C and even drinking chicken broth (made from granules) fights off sinus infections as I have not had any since I started doing the routine 3 yrs ago.
Nite Bon and Jaye....am headin that way myself too was a long day on the bus and lucky me has a field trip in the morning too
Marion, did you get anything else today? Did you check all the boxes? You said one more picture, but did not post it?
Linda Kay
Kids were only the beginning of my day; it’s been way too annoying and busy. The girl I watched to day was a holy terror. After they left I cleaned the kitchen (clutter, I wanted to do a bunch of cooking today, but didn’t get to it), straightened the living room, Talked to my neighbor and mother of day care kids for a half an hour, got Sage, DSD, fed, bathed and in bed, Filled out 10 forms for school (went through more, it took me over 2 hours) and took pictures of my jar. You’ve seen what I’ve posted since I went back to bed this morning. I am so far behind on DG; I’m at least 4 days behind on most my watched threads (don’t you feel special that even with having no time on here the last several days I’ve made time to listen and talk to you gals), not to mention new threads.
I’ve found chicken soup made with Rosemary, Echinacea, Sage and Garlic work wonders, tastes a little weird and the tea made out of the same is almost undrinkable, but I swear by the soup.
OK-so now I am confused-what kind of saw do I need????? HELP!!! I have been wanting to do these FOREVER-I had an employee that made me a few things from the catalog that I LOVE, but I paid $35-55 for each one and I want to do my own-I want to have a whole yard of Xmas ones and there are some halloween ones I want and some reg ones I want and there are feeders and houses in there-and, and, and!!!!LOL
marion-those ladybugs look perfect there!! And yeah-what happened to the last pic??
Stacey, I would say you need a scroll saw, and a band saw.
OK-both?? Is one for intricut design and the other is for??
with a scroll saw it is easier to do the cuvy thingy's i believe.
And waht does a band saw do?? I know nothin, so that is why I am asking...
