Oh my goodness, Kathy. How terrible. I'll be praying.
♥Sweet Interruption♥ 19
OMG... Cuz... that's so terrible...I'll surely keep her in my prayers....
I didn't know Hall's cough drops would do that ....
Dang, I suck on those cough drops a lot, helps to cut appetite, but not 3 - 4 bags a day. Why did she take so many?
I have 3 grandkids, 2 boys, 4 and 9, and one girl, 8.
I was up at 3, because my dads flight to michigan was at 7, and you have to be to the airport 2 hours early, so I dropped them off at 5, and I was on my way back home. It is about a 3 hour drive for me to the airport...160 miles.
Linda Kay
LK... you definitely need a nap, girlfriend.
Sis, you got prayer warriors here praying for Deb and hoping the car can be fixed real soon. Also not forgetting Tia, LK .. Bonnie and the IRS and Phyllis, I hope you'll be able to report the turd that did that to you.
Don't cough drops have trace amount of alcohol to suppress the cough? Too little to do any damage, but 3-4 bags...
If you're gonna try a pirogue, Deborah, make sure there's an outboard motor with at least 15 hp..so you can outpaddle the alligators. But that 15 hp might be too strong and might fell you over!!!
Winds and rain just started. Many of my high end brugs are starting to flower.. oh boy.. hope they'll be okay. So.. not taking any chances, I'll be out there taking cuttings early.
Y'all keep chatting you hear.
Getting a visual of Jaye risking life and limb to save the brugs... sheesh.
Thanks all for the thoughts and prayers, they sent her home yesterday, she wants to be home when she goes. her 2 daughters are with her. She is in her late 70's or early 80's. She has had a good life. She is ready to go meet her maker and the love of her life.
Good news, We had that baby boy yesterday, well his mom did. He is Kingston Lee 7 lbs 10 oz 20 inches, they say he looks just like his mom. Mom started to hemerage(sp) so they had to do an emergency C-section. They are all doing great.
I loved that north vs south story, so so so very true.
Congrats on the healthy baby, Tia. Wishing Mom a speedy recovery.
Jaye, put some rocks in your pockets while you're out there taking cuttings. We don't want you to get blown away.
********Please sign me up for this swap if there is still room!********* That's a great idea to ring in the new year.
Geez, I try to be good, pulled a task, did it and got 2 day behind on this thread. Just whose ideas was this jar anyways?
Tia, congrats on the new baby boy, prayers for both mother and your aunt (it is your aunt isn't it?).
Jaye, brugs can be replaced--you on the other hand can not!!! Forget the rocks put cement blocks in those pockets.
Morning Phyllis, hope the morning was uneventful with the bus driving--meaning students. Today is the 50th birthday of the principal where DD teaches. All the faculty dressed in black today. He loved it!!!!
Katgy enjoy your visit with your girls and definielty prayers here for sure.
Kathy ask and ye shall receive prayers goin up for Deb and everyone else too for that matter
I've been in contact wtih paypal and they have stopped that account, bank canceled the debit card, got the needed papers from bank and have faxed them over to Smith County Sheriff office to add to the file along wtih info for contacting paypal for an IP addy on this person...Paypal says 7-10 days to get money returned and bank will refund the over draft charge it caused.
BJ ....LOL....yes'em I is up fore the crack of dawn for bus drivin them there blessed chitlinsand now I know why I woke up in the middle of the nite wtih all your bang round in the kitchen so when your done there yous kin meander over here n do mine too ...hahahahahaha.
Congrats otn eh baby too ...funny my bus monitor went to Shreveport early yesterday for her daughter went into labor and she had a baby boy yesterday too.
Phillis what's a bus monitor?
A bus monitor is the person that rides with me on my bus routes.
down here in Tyler we have people that are hired to ride on some of the buses. Most of the time it is because we have children that are in head start riding the bus or the special education buses have someone to help them with the special needs children.
It's great having her with me as we get along really well and she is there to help with the children so I can focus on driving and traffic...back in Illinois I did it all by myself.... driving and discipline
Think Deborah that many areas have bus monitors to keep the children in tow as not to be a distraction to the driver...our buses have video camera's so that when the driver reports difficulties, it's easy to play back tapes.
I bet that cuts down on a lot of bus accidents... doesn't it?
And, I bet the kids behave themselves better on the bus since there's a designated person in control... right?
I did not realize that. I don't think Ga employs monitors. They do have cameras though.
Yes she is my great aunt. My mothers, mothers sister in law.
Thanks
Hmm-I never had to ride a bus, so I am clueless about this one!!LOL
Tia-I am glad that she will get to spend the last part as she wants and not stuck someplace she doesn't want to be like a hospital or hooked up to a bunch of machines!!((((()))) HUGS:)
yes having someone to help you is great and yes it cuts back on any problem but we also have cameras on the buses too and Tyler school district even has a school district police department
if kids get in trouble on the bus and are removed by them they get a ticket and it can end in a fine ( I have been told it is like $200) or public service handed out to them from the judge.
not all school districts hire monitors but if I am not mistaken it is close to law that they have monitors on the special ed buses...but I don't think it is enforced either.
New room y'all.. http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/900028/

Hey everyone. Got rid of all my company, and got phone/DSL line repaired, but one of the kids left strep throat. Me and Zeke have been pretty sick. Today is first day I have been up much since DH took off work.
BJ i saw where you called, but it has hurt too much to talk. I haven't read any posts, cuz my head hurts.
Sorry if i'm wandering, still feeling kinda wobbly, but I think fever has gone at least.
I'm not a good sick person and Zman is worse
Saw the headlines where there are a couple of hurricanes out there, hope everybody is ok, I have no idea where they are at this point. I'll try to catch up when my head feels better and I can read some.
Well, Sistah Joey... it's so good to hear from you... but I'm so sorry you and Zekey are sick... DARN... I was worried about you... my next step was to call the sheriff... still have them on speed dial, ya know.
I do hope you get better ... real real soon.
But, Joey... you know we've moved on... you're about 2 rooms behind dear.
Catch up real quick... come over here...
