What do you mean "use for a pie tin?" Who was talking about pie? LOL
♥Sweet Interruption♥ 19
For Phillis' PMS pie. It's rich and we all want the recipe. She's going to bake it for BJ's memorial day get together.
...rich and addicting, she said. Just making sure it was a pie she was referring to--after all I am the ah hum sheesh (single one) around here. Don't want anyone to think I'm looking--nada, no way. But remember I have said I do like good eye candy. ;-0
**NOTICE* I am not responsible for anything that happens as a result of eating this pie ...ROFLMAO
One of my best friends came up with the idea and we tweaked it so everything was homemade with no store bought mixes to it.
It is called PMS pie as every part is something a woman craves at least once a month lol
PMS Pie
2 one crust deep pie shells (you can make them or buy them ready to bake)
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. Melted Butter
1 1/2 C. Light brown sugar (packed)
2 Eggs, slightly beaten
1C. Chopped Pecans
Mix together and divide between 2 pie shells.
Bake at 350 until shells are golden brown (20-30 min.)
Mix:
1 pkg. Cream Cheese
1 Small Jar Marshmallow Fluff
1 C. Powdered Sugar
When pie is done baking spread on top of pie.
(let it cool a lil first if possible)
After pie cools add chocolate mousse on top.
Chocolate Mousse:
1 12oz pkg. semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 C boiling Water
2 Eggs
1 tsp. Vanilla
1 C. heavy whipping cream
Add chocolate chips and boiling water to blender; whir at high speed for 15 seconds.
Add rest of ingredients; blend until well mixed. Divide between the pies.
Chill until set
Top with cool whip and drizzle with chocolate syrup and caramel syrup ( the kind you put on ice cream); then sprinkle with pecan pieces.
To cut ...warm a knife under hot water to cut easier as the chocolate will set up.
WARNING this is VERY VERY RICH
The cream cheese mix is also good for dipping fruit in too
LOL and I must agree even though I am married it is always nice to look at the eye candy ...they guys do so why can't we ...hahahaha
That's my new thinking. "Eye Candy" any time won't hurt anyone. Hubby used to love to "oogle" good looking girls so now I will try it with my "eye candies". Oh my but does that pie ever sound great!! Gained 30 pounds just reading the recipe. I definitely will have to try that when we have company-----other than a storm!!
the first time I made it was for a thanksgiving dinner and I never got to try any of it ...it was all gone by the time I got to it and it makes 2 pies ....so now I make sure I get a small slice...besides taking out a small slice makes it easier to get other slices out ..LOL
Anyone for a chocloate chip cookie, still warm from the oven?
Good nite everyone.
Linda Kay
Yes we won't talk about how much weight I gained reading that recipe......
Yep, I'm a long time x smoker too but I WILL NOT GIVE UP MY COFFEE!!!!!! I have it wake up (DH leaves it on the warmer on my night table in the morning), I have a few during the day, and I can drink a double Espresso and go to bed.............I'm not addicted.
mmmm thanks Linda love it when they are still warm and the chips are gooey ...*licks chocolate off fingers*
Niters sleep well
You gals have been talkative today!
Deborah, sorry I disappeared last night. DSD was having anxiety issues about going back to school then DH wanted to watch Batman.
Cindy, DFB?
Cats, I’ll take fudge! If you can make fudge monkeys I’ll pay you and praise your name. I’m intimidated by the idea of making fudge and have been looking everywhere for fudge monkeys. I got DH fudge cake and monkey balloons for Valentines Day, but not quite the same.
General, I love shrimp, clams, crab, crawdads, and lobster! Not a big fish or oyster person. I’ve been craving steamer clams recently.
I like hammocks, never slept in one though.
I think the new can lids would be great for decorations, because you have the “nice” ring around it already. I might have to start collecting them for this Christmas.
Marion, I like the yard. I so want trees. They clear cut the property when the built the complex and it’s only been here a couple years. The things they planted and call tree I don’t think count. DSD really wants a climbing tree. I think that will be on the plus list next time we move.
Phyllis, both DH and I are fine with each other looking at eye candy. We accept it as inevitable; it’s really hard not to look when it’s there.
OMG-there are so many things to do with those little tins for ya'lls coffee!! Candles, flowers, little fairy houses-a ton of stuff!!
You all were talkative yesterday!!LOL
For the pie Phyllis, what is a one pie crust-is that just a reg non deep dish pie crust??
My only contribution to the food is I make 2 mean pasta salads:) But remember-nothing form the sea for me please, so if I can have like a hamburger or hot dog when you all eat your etoufee or whatever it is I am happy and if I don't have to smell it much...
I don't know about a hammock-I would try to sleep in it though, but I am a mover in my sleep...
Laura-she meant DBF-dear boy friend
OOO-can lids-those would make great garden projects-glue on some tile and voila-yard art!!
I make my coffee special-I mix 1 large reg coffee w/ a small can of vanila and a small can of haselnut-then FF vanilla creamer-YUMMMM!!!
If everything will be spicey, I will bring my pepcid!!! Love spicy, it don't like me too much since I had my gall bladder out:(
Good morning!
Don't you worry.. none would be too spicey, that's why I'm bringing along Tony's.. to be used on served plates. Not in the pot :P BJ will take good care of you, Stacey!
Laura, what are fudge monkeys? Any side effects after eating them?
Ya the fudge monkeys have side effects-picking things outta people's hair and scrathing your butt
Well then, in that case, you won't need them Stacey :P
morning ladies and fairy
Good maaaaawnin' Sis.
Got to practice my Texan drawl :P
your doing great sister. guess i gotta send bj some tony's, huh?
Nope, don't have to. I'll bring some with me. Like you, I buy them in cases!! Lolol!!
You will be there won't you...say yes please... you need to bring that fried turkey and Mike.
LOL sis, as of no we are both planing on being there with fried turkey in hand. and chow-chow too!
Oh good!!! Kel's looking forward to it too. Ehem.. we might get a room ;)
Okay, off to an appointment. Will be back later.
Have a fantastic day everyone!
Well that sounds suggestive!!LOL I won't be bringing my DH-I'll want a break!!LOL
good morning all - yup, i missed another whole page, and by the time I realized it,,, I'll go back later and have fun reading it.
well, compliments of IRS my credit is shot, but my car has died and the repair bill is twice it's value. So, DH's credit is not yet bad, and we've been car and car loan shopping, so missed a few days on here. I'm going to get his old Lincoln, and he's thinking of an old pickup to buy, something really cheap. not exactly my sweet little mid-life crisis convertible, but both will be more user friendly.
anyone want a candy apple red sporty convertible? - it's going cheap cheap cheap! you can really pick up the guys in this one, ladies!
LOL
helped Plant Delights/Juniper Level Botanical Garden put out mulch yesterday on a couple acres - oh my shoulders and back!
also grabbed a bunch of their falled apples from an apple tree for spoiled fruit cake or apple pie, but was too tired to even pretend to make it!
Good morning everyone. Hope you all have a wonderful day.
Fudge, did someone say fudge for a swap. Why wait for the swap, you can send it out now!!! Are you taking orders? LOL
Can you tell we are chocoholics?
Ladies, be good if you can.
Linda Kay
bonjon, so sorry to hear of your IRS problems, Have you tried to get one of those IRS lawyers? Maybe they can help. We hear the commercials all the time. "Do you owe the IRS money, we can settle your debt for pennies on the dollar".
Just a thought.
Linda Kay
Need prayers here. Just got a call yesterday my great aunt is in the hospital and they gave her 4 days to 2 week. It has something to do with her liver. Just pray she goes fast and peacefully. We have lost 2 great uncles and a second cousin just this year.
tia, i am so sorry. am sending prayers out to you, her and your family
thanks Kathy.
Sending prayers as well!
thanks Betty.
Good morning girlfriends.
Tia, you certainly have my prayers... Love ya.
Keep practicing that Texas accent Jaye... maybe you can teach me... I don't have one, do I Kathy?
Thanks BJ.

I just mulled that over in my brain... an Asian Cajun with a Texas accent... this should be gooooooood.
BJ, you don't have a Texan accent at all. I never once heard you say "Howdy Partner".
Why is it that most folks that live west of the Mississippi don't have an accent? Nor does TV commentaries and the like. Not even Deborah Noville and she's from Ga.
Oh yes BJ has an accent!! I heard it 1st hand!!!LOL
I will be thinking of you Tia....
Yup we are doing a baked goods swap the middle of Oct...
I think my accent is muddled... Dad was a Yankee, Mom was a Texan... so I mixed their accents together to talk this way. PLUS... most Texans are transplants from other places, so, we really don't all talk like John Wayne...
Thanks Stacey.
LOL-"howdy partner"-come on-give us your best "duke" impression!!
((()))hugs Tia
