Looking down driveway. Light pink crape at end is Hopi. The two closer, deeper ones are Tonto - I think.
Garden Photos - Part 35
Very nice Victor, love that coralberry and P.Princess!
Nice shots Victor.
Thank you, ladies. Yes, I love the color of those berries. I have tried to have berries in as many colors as possible. Have red, blue, black, yellow, white and pink.
and purple
Right - thanks!
How are you feeling, Deb?
victor very nice pics - that driveway needs a rockwall!
Home from surgery everyone.
Went well, I'm still on drugs so I'm off to take a nap and keep my foot elevated.
Glad You Are Home! Rest Well
shelly what is that last hosta you took a pic named?
ge glad you are back and make sure you take your pain killers - my wife the nurse gave me no sympathy after knee surgery when i decided not to take pain killers. just got up and went to sleep in the other room leaving me to suffer alone.
OMG Deb - that is awesome!
Take care of yourself, JoAnn. Hope you're not in too much pain. You'll be skipping around your yard before you know it.
Thank you both. It is photoshop cs. I just happened to have my camera ready at the right time this morning.
Bev, nice Giant Swallowtail too!
debilu and dragonfly.... great job!
knee surgery too Bill?..... we are too much alike!
Feel better Jo Anne! Great sequence, Deb! Great shots. Bev, nice shots. Bill, I am probably headed toward knee surgery at some point soon.
Bill, i'm about 95% sure that it's Hosta "Dancing in the Rain." I also have another hosta nearby that looks similar-definitely not the same, and i'm thinking that one is "Remember Me". But there is a small chance that I have the two turned around. I'm trying to find pictures of the flowers of either of those two hostas to hopefully settle the 5% uncertainty. But, I'm not having much luck in finding a picture of the flowers. Oh and last year it was definitely almost white in the center instead of the creamy yellow color. I just read from a couple different sources that both of those hostas will turn towards a yellowish center if in high heat. Given that we've had three heat waves of a few days over a hundred, I think that might be why it's yellowish this year. I don't really know though.

Karen, thanks for the info on the daylillies! I sort of thought that's what they might be since I've seen lilies do that. Do I have to put them in water (submerge or just enough to cover the little bulb?) or can I just stick them in the ground while the weather is still mild like I do with lilies? I'm not good with propogating anything.
shelly the pic i referred to does not have flowers - it was the last one you posted at 7:27 AM
lol.... I'm confused. I think that it's the picture that I posted at 4:27 my time. (I couldn't sleep) that, was a hydrangea floret. But, I only posted two pictures of hostas, the same plant today. So.....I still think that it's dancing in the rain. All my other hostas have been eaten by slugs :-(( Yuk!
Thanks for the link, Anita. What does that program cost?
Victor - love those roses. So dainty!
JoAnn - glad your surgery went well........hope you will take it easy and have a super recovery! The garden awaits! LOL
Deb - that's an awesome butterfly collage! Beautiful!!
After all the construction, my little office that got so damaged is back and better than before. I'm having fun putting things back in their places.....including this vase of flowers from the gardens.....
Perfect touch!
Very nice, Louise. Too organized!
Give it a week and some bills to pay, and I'll show it to you again, Victor! LOL The desk is also my sewing table, so it probably won't look like this ever again.
At work, I had a 'Goldilocks' view of an engineer's desk. Too disorganized shows that the person is all over the place and cannot focus, get his/her act together, etc. Too clean, neat and organized meant not enough work was being done!
Deb that is a nice colage
Louise Looks like your ready for Colonial Home magazine.
Thanks for the well wishes.
I'm drinking water to get rid of the meds headache and will start Vicadin, thanks for the tip Bill.
I know its important to start painkillers befor they happen.
Thanks everyone!
Louise, you have moose!
Nice office.
Love the view from your desk, Louise.
ge1836, have a quick and speedy recovery.
I have had a disrupted week. My own doing. Having the floors finished in our room so had to move everything out. Sand dust everywhere, even though they put up plastic. It will look good. I have moved to my son's old space in a lower level of the house. I just feel confused.
Also having my DS evacuated from New Orleans and then do a 24 hour drive back was a tad nerve racking. I just kept him awake on the cell phone, but I got no sleep. But he got home to power and no damage. He is back at work tonight. DH is in Lithuanian for the week at the World's senior rowing regatta. He got a gold. He had a good row with a boat of Swedish gals and they wanted to take him home. Tomorrow he is rowing with some Finnish boat. Hope they don't kidnap him.
But I have been supper busy with the veggies that need putting up. Roasting tomatoes tonight. House smells great, but I am way behind with the flower garden. Now a storm (Hanna) is coming so perhaps I will wait to do some major deadheading until Hanna runs through. But we sure need the rain. Two boats in the water, but I don't think I will pull them. Fingers crossed. Then there is Ike which could be a doozie for Fla and who know who else. Hope not New Orleans again.
Loved seeing DonnieBrook's office. I think it would be fun to see where we all communicate from. I will take pictures of mine tomorrow. I have a wonderful view if you look beyond the clutter on the desk. I think I can pass the "Victor test". Great flower color combo in the vase. Hope your Fla house is all buttoned up.
How does DH get these great 'assignments'??!!
He is cute!
LOL, Thanks, Patti! Congrats to DH on bringing home a gold - and maybe a few of the Swedish gals for you to feed! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you with Hanna and I'm holding my breath about Ike, which they are comparing to Andrew...Yikes! It doesn't do us much good to worry about our Fla. house, as there's not much we can do except keep our shutters in place. We plan to leave them up until these storms quiet down. I'll be glad when this active season is over!! Please do share your office with us. I love this time of year when I can keep fresh flowers in all of our rooms......what else would gardeners do, right???!
