Disco Belle (funny, I could have sworn I planted the white one, not the pink one)
I have to move the red one out from under the pine tree that has grown over it.
(note: the blue sea holly has already gone to seeding)

Garden Photos - Part 35
O-M-G, Allison!! In my best teenaged testing accent ....
I love that first hummingbird photo!! Simply magnificent!!
Victor, I had to read 'wut axent' out loud! Too funny!
You guys just crack me up.
yes, Allison... I got them 50% off... what a bargain... I got also 2 delphinuns, 2 heucheras, and some more I forgot the name... I am going to do a rock garden next year... oh there I go again... I am really nuts!
celeste in maine is it wicked good or wicked pissa like here in mass?
very nice hummer shot - mine have not stayed still enough to get them on a memory card, or do we still say film??
This year the hummers avoid my feeder entirely and eat from all the plants so I have never had the chance to photograph them. They were never nearby. Bummer.
Same here..saw the hummer once or twice at the feeder, mostly at the flowers.
Bill, it's wicked good!
Victor and Pixie do you use the pre-mixed stuff or just sugar water?
one part water and three parts sugar have been working great for me
My feeders have been very busy this year. I have no pictures that come close to the ones you got, Allison. Those are fantastic.
To make nectar: I do tree pots watta, one pot suga (I spent the weekend in Boston - accent)
I mix it, Allison. I follow what's on the feeder - I think 4:1.
Thats a great shot Deb, and what a pretty biig BF.
Really nice photos of the hummers & butterfly--saw only a swallowtail on my butterfly bush today, but the hummer buzzed me a few times--they are nesting in the tree right next to it, I guess, but nesting must surely be over--maybe it's just their territory! Dropped my flowers off at the fair this evening---don't know why I bothered---everything there was super looking--the dahlias made me drool! Here is a dahlia I would have liked to put in, but it was already going by.
Allison - LOVE your hummer shots. You are quite a photographer these days!!! LOL I'm so impressed!! Don't worry - those little guys will be stopping off at our house in Fla. for some high tea before they head to South America for the winter! They'll be back before you know it!
Anita - that is such a pretty flower collage. What program do you use to make that type of collage?
Victor - Awhile back I told you that I'd post a shot of my White Luna hardy hibiscus when it opened, since you are not familiar with the White. It opened this morning...FINALLY! The Red Lunas are about to pop open too. I really like the whites!
Kass - your BES vines are so full of flowers! Mine is going back to Fla. again with me. Maybe if I'd stop moving it from state to state, it would bloom as much as yours!!
Thanks Louise. Very nice!
Does it look much like the one you posted awhile back, Victor? I forget the name of yours, but I thought they looked similar. What do you think?
L'il Kim??
Not sure......yours was white with red in the center too.....?
Yes, Louise. Red center, but a smaller flower that lasts a few days, unlike most hibiscus.
Very nice pics, everyone. Willie, I love your Disco Belle.
Debilu, that butterfly is great!
Bev, I too, like your collages. Very nice. Is picasa free? I use Microsoft Picture It. Here's a collage I made, further enhancing it with Paint Shop Pro 8. Not flowers, but one of my favorite actors, the very hot Vin Diesel. ;-)
Karen
Here's one I did entirely on MS Picture It.
Donnie - I use http://www.lumapix.com/ . I love it.
Great pix all, as per usual!!!
Kassia... I love that black eyed Susan! What kind is it?
Great collages!
Awesome hummer shots Onewish!
Karen, that's not your Japanese Knotweed is it?
Bill, I really like that fancy frills echinacea. I'm going to have to consider that one!

Good morning RC
The Rhody leaves are great. nice back lighting.
The chamaecyparis is still in a pot, I'm moving it around and trying to decide where I want it. I couldn't believe the price that I saw on it and that no one had bought it given that that cham. Berry's Silver is the largest one that I've seen sold for less than $75. Don't worry, when planted it will be given a little more space (not much though given it's grows a 1/2" per year)
I have better luck when the sun is low.
The Hosta is so soft a lavender.
I am on fluids this AM,
Going to "Same Day Surgery" to get my toes straightened, should make gardening easier next season.
Brent and Beckys bulb order comes today, I'll store them until I can plant in a few weeks.
I couldn't believe the UPS tracking sheet, says the package weighs 60 pounds, this couldn't possibly be true ,there are only about 50 bulbs in it, must mean 6 pounds.
The lavender hosta full plant picture is going into my"paint this" file in my Artstuff folder.
It will be a nice small painting.
Thanks.
Wow, good luck on the surgery. I really hope that all goes well. For certain gardening will be easier for you, so that must be good to look forward to! And you get to have a few weeks of rest hopefully, like it or not! Don't you just wish that you really did get 60 pounds of bulbs for that price!
Anytime! You know that I love your work! Maybe that's what you'll get to do with some of your down time. Although, they probably will want you elevating your foot for a while, which is probably not conduscive to painting :-p
It would be a mixed blessing. Where would I put them all.
The John Sceepers order is due as well as Lilynook and B&D Lilies.
This place is going to BLAST next spring.
