Yep... her weeds are as healthy as mine are...
I named my chick PEEPS... sooo cute.
♥Sweet Interruption♥ 17
That wasn't weeds, Kathy, they were Cosmos. We watched Mike cut down the weeds with the tractor in the back forty behind the chicken coop. Remember?.
If Linda Kay had been there, we could have all gotten a tatoo, or another one. I was up for it.
yep, her cut the weeds, and ant hills and everything else in his way
she could have touched mine up
Oh, Yeah... and I did learn that the WEEDS that I'm pulling in my flower beds are really a milk weed that the butterflys like... sheesh... what do I know?
I want a butterfly on my heart. I'll wait until I'm 90 thought. I don't want it on my waist. HAHAHAHA Can't wait to see where yours will be in 40 years, Kathy! J/K
Don't pull milkweed! Monarchs and Queens will put a curse on you, BJ.
Sorry... I wasn't up to a tatoo... wouldn't have even been able to watch... I'm just not into punishing myself like that... OUCH...
I won't ever pull another one... promise.
deb, mine will be below my waist by then!
Oh, come on, you know tattoos are like the swaps. You can't stop with just one. I have 13 of them now!!!
Linda Kay
I have a butterfly tat on my back left shoulder. I got it in 80. I've been wanting to get another with my grandkids names on it. Actually I'd really like to go to L.A. and have Kat Von D do a portrait of my grandkids.
Fairy..I'm about 4 - 4 1/2 hrs. from Detroit..just a hop/skip and a jump...how far are you from Detroit..passed through and spent the night when travelling to Chicago last month...
Kat vonD is awesome. You are closeer to her, than I am. You should give her a call?
Linda Kay
My future son-in-law's brother (does that make sense?) has a tattoo of his baby daughter's footprint on his arm. So sweet!
Yea, just need the $$$$
That would be so precious.
Aaaww a baby's footprint tatoo. Now that's too sweet!
It's really pretty impressive. Just like a real footprint with all the cracks and wrinkles. Looks like they pressed Hannah's foot into an ink pad and then onto his arm!
I wonder how the technician did get the impression on his arm? A transfer transparancy of some sort? It's a pure art form, however they do it that's for sure. That's such a unique tatoo!
Good morning Sistahs and Niece. Boy, I slept goooooood knowing you all are okay and none in harm's way of Gustav :D
Welcome Debra, glad you found us.
None that's left behind can deny the envy we feel just looking at your pictures and for those of us that had heard your collective voices..the exuberance in them. Good Lord Sis, you'll be eating leftovers till eternity!
Deborah, that's truly a sweet story behind the bushel. An inspirational note tagged to each apple. What a way to recuperate. Lord sends down angels in many guises, doesn't He?
You all did AWESOME to make Sistah Kathy speechless like that with that repurposed bushel and the cookbooks! For once, she did shut up, didn't she? LOL!!! Oh to witness that moment.
As for the hats.. Joey.. they are adorable!! A very quirky reminder to how much fun these sistahs are with that bow on the skull!! Now, those Hells Angels need to show how truly daring they are by having that tattooed on their arms!!!!!
I hate farewells at the airport. I bet BJ.. you and Joyce can't believe you both are leaving happiness behind.
Michael, I'm sure you're missing the Sistahs too. Now you have your lovely wife back and do what you do best.. be her best human company!! Lol!!
Sheesh.. I can't compete with the beauty of these Sistahs. Such beautiful ladies plus having beautiful spirits as well. I am so blessed to call you Sistahs.
Oh yeah, Kel just said..it's not the buzz that made you all giddy.. it's the unbelievable joy in knowing you all truly LIKE each other! Some of us can love each other as God commands..but to love and like..that's a rare occurence, especially 5 of y'all!!!
I'll leave this page on for others to feel the love ^_^
hi sis, my house was truly filled with love and friendship all weekend. i am very blessed to have had the opportunity to host these wonderful women
And I need to let other know that it's you Sis, that organized that fabulous idea to surprise Joyce with the donations!
Looks and sounds like a great time had by all
mm tattoos..I have one I made up on the computer and a friend that does them back in Illinois did it for me was like scratching a bad sun burn LOL
and if all y'all like baileys and such have ya ever tried apple pie shots? tastes jsut like apple pie wtih the whipped cream on top and goes down so nice and easy LOL
Deb, Can I ask why you were in the hospital. Sounds like you were pretty sick, if you did not know anyone?
Glad your doing Ok now.
Linda Kay
Never heard of apple pie shots. Something new?
maybe new to you but is something I learned back in Illinois when I was a bartender.
Apple Pie Shots
1 qt. Everclear
1 Gal. Apple Juice
1 Gal apple cider
7 cinnamon sticks
4 C. Sugar
Mix apple juice, apple cider, sugar and cinnamon sticks togther in a large pot
boil until cinnamon sticks lose flavor and sugar is dissolved about 10 min.
Cool of slightly, add everclear
refrigerate with cinnamon sticks left in.
just before serveing in shot glass top wtih whipped cream
(I find the cans work best to do this)
You can pour it into bottles and have a cinnamon stick in each bottle for future use but keep it refrigerated.
It'll creep up on ya so be careful LOL
OH... and we didn't mention... we called 4 of our sistahs on the phone while at Kathy's, so we could share the luv... we played a guessing game... they had to guess who they were talking to... was kinda funny.
First we got hold of Stacey... she was in the car with MIL ordering Fast Food when she answered the phone... so we got to hear what she was eating for lunch...
Then we called Jaye... after several tries, finally got her... and let me tell ya sistahs... she has a giggle that will just fill you with love all over...
Then, we finally got JoJo to answer the phone... hubby had her cell in his truck, and she had to charge it back up before she could talk to us... what a real talker she is... could have never ran out of things to talk about...
We tried several times to call Marion... but her phone wasn't working in Canada... but we did try... many times... when she saw the number on her "missed calls" later, she said she got some warm fuzzy feelings cause she knew it had to be us.
Phyllis, I'm so glad you found us here... we need more Texans to keep these foreigners behaved.
OMG I have to find the recipe for it, I had a chocolate cake shooter once it tasted just like chocolate cake and will knock you in the dirt.
Thanks BJ I am too :-)
I'm still learning my way around Tyler and finally have been in the town of Flint LOL. and with my daughter moving up the job ladder in the company she works with she will be moving back down to Houston in the next month or so..... so I have no one to run around with to window shop or anything and the group I direct online has gone really quiet so this is my place for having fun.

Hello Phyllis, welcome to the ah, humm, oh, well shall I say "goofy loveable bunch"? Loved the looks of your recipe!!
Okay, so I am sitting here crying my eyes out seeing all the fun I missed but then I was crying my eyes out where I was. Yes, I did know immediately when I saw the telephone number (in Orlando on way home) who had called and warm fuzzies is putting it mildly for what I felt.
Anyone willing to go back for leftovers? Let me know before I unpack!!!!
Hi Debra, haven't seen you in a while.
Deborah, don't forget we have an outing the end of October!!! Anyone else that wants to join us is welcome. Nursery open house in Gainesville with lunch, owners are very dear friends and sent me a notice via email. Oh my what a weekend we could have. Could even stay over and tour the Rainforest butterfly exhibit at the university. Check in for room assignments, please.
Lolol!! Foreigners!!! That's a hoot!
Hey Stacey..didn't you say BJ has an accent? So who's the 'foreigner'?
Phyllis, after a few of that pie shots I bet one won't feeling no pain.
I've been pulling those weeds too. Y'all got me curious and this is a good reference to the variety of milkweeds.
This year, there are soooo many b'flies in the garden.
Here's the milkweed link : http://www.monarchwatch.org/milkweed/guide/index.htm
We shan't miss the next one, Marion!
Positively not Jaye. Hey, what's wrong with me--I could have "Hurricane Parties" with Hanna, Ike and now Josephine lined up. Any takers?
LOL well to be honest if anyone should be called a Foreigner it should be me as I just moved to Texas a year ago this last July from Illinois.
And anyone from the north listening to the rest of you would say all y'all have an accent.
when I was a kid we used to go to Cherokee Village AR for a week and upon returning home my friends would make fun of me cause I came home with an accent.
And Jaye yes after several of those you are in no pain not as strong as you think they are but then if you have a full tummy and pace yourself you do good LOL
Gee Marion would those parties give a new meaning to the phrase blowin in the wind??? LOL
Okay Phyllis you make the Apple pie shots, Jaye you just come, Kathy come for the rest, BJ bring the cards, Deborah bring some flutterbies, Tinky well you can bring the ---oops no--I'll find something for you to bring. Oh yes, you bake, Linda Kay, get your surgery so you can be waited on, Joycet just come as I so want to meet you, Audrey, bring the Baileys. Who did I forget--well you come to and I will arrange one big nice :
HURRICANE PARTY. Appears there are 3 to welcome? Must be tireder than I thought. LOL
Just might at that!! But just think of the fun (?) we could have. Boy am I am really "wigged out now". LOL
Oh Jojo, more pirate hats please!! Don't forget the Zekester for entertainment when the power goes out.
does that mean you have someone to come and drive my bus routes for the time I am at your place?????? LOL
they would think I was totally wacko to go to FL for a Hurricane Party with one coming in ...they have enough trouble drivin in just rain here already saw 2 fender benders this morning on my route. LOL
