If I would've known I would've driven up-I am about 45mins from that airport...

And BJ-we won't care about dust and such-as long as I remember my pillow and have a place to sleep-I will even take a couch-I don't give a rats behind about some old dust:)

Marion... I'm so glad you made it home alright... Us sistahs tried to call you several times while at Kathy's... either your cell phone didn't work in Canada, or you had it turned off... but we did try...
We sure missed you.

No, house was already clean when we got there... you could eat off the floor... it was all the cooking and trying to wait on everyone that made me tired... Kathy bent over backwards to try to accommodate all of us... sheesh... what a hostess.
And I sure hope she and Michael can eat all the left overs she has in her fridge... I've never seen the like of food she served this weekend. She was WAY out of control.

I thought that was the calls I missed. Yes, did have trouble with calls in certain areas and did leave phone upstairs in the bedroom most of the time. Couldn't hear it ring downstairs with all the people there.

Funny how you have this feeling when you look at a number. I had that feeling and it did make me have "'warm fuzzies". Thanks for thinking about me!!!! BTW, BJ all the weigh I gained (I am sure I must have inspite of all the walking) is because I tried to eat enough butter tarts for the 2 of us.

Well, sistah... that's so nice of you to do that... and I tried to eat enough of Kathy's fine cooking for all of you that couldn't be there too... but just couldn't do that ... she had seriously enormous amounts of food.

I can only imagine-she had been soooo busy!!! BJ-I say that next year, we either order in or all make a dish.....better than 1 person doing it all....

Well, Stacey... my whole idea is to give everyone a house tour... and just say "everything is where it's suppose to be, so make yourself at home"...

Sounds good to me....sonce I get up 1st, I will make cinnamon rolls semi homemeade if you agree to let me drive the scooter to the store;)

LOL-I am so kidding, but will need a trip to the store to get the stuff and only if everyone wants them...

Marion don't you know butter tarts are not good for your hips, though they may good on your lips? Lol..and I'm yet to taste a single butter tart. So glad you made it home.
We could just imagine the spread at Sis Kathy. The consumate hostess, but that's her... she truly loves to please.
Stacey.. early warning.. I'm not too keen on anything with cinnamon, unless it's in curries ;)
But best breakfast will be a good cup of coffee with a piece of toast!

Here's what I can do... everyone can send me a list of ingredients for their fav dish... I'll do the shopping before everyone comes... then everyone can cook their fav dish in my kitchen... OK?

Gee thanks Jaye, did you have to remind me? LOL Well, ye ole hips will just have to work it off in the garden cause the good taste on the lips ruled!!! My nephew (by marriage) brother is a baker and he brought me 4 dozen. They got accidentally put out at the receiption so my great nephew's wife went home and made me 6 dozen to bring with me! Oh, did I say 6 dozen--well maybe 4 made it here after son finally tried one. Was better off before he ever tasted one.

Sounds like a plan to me BJ! So when is this to be next year? Anyone know.

You could put X amount of frozen chicken pot pies on the list. That's my contribution to cooking :D

Well, Maybe Jaye will grace us with her presence next year too.. so, if she'll let us know when her trip to her gf in Houston is going to be, we'll schedule our get together at my house around then... What'cha say Jaye?

Putting me in a bind there BJ. What if it's scheduled around someone who would be able to get away from her kids for a while, like Joey.

Kel already promised me a trip there, so.. how many hours from Houston to Kemp. My gf might have to drive me there...

I am with Jaye-I can throw something in the oven , but I am a baker, not a cook-I can make it if it comes from the freezer section in a box;) Why dya think I married a chef??LOL I guess I can make cookies for dinner one night....

I'll just buy a bigger freezer then... we won't starve... that I can promise.

Woo Hoo... Don just took me to dinner... I discussed the "get together" with him for next year... he actually seemed excited about it !!!!.... now, he wants to get the sun porch done even more... and even made suggestions about how we can sleep EVERYONE without ANYONE needing to rent a room somewhere.... I was really surprised at his reaction.

Don, just remember, hammocks don't like me ;)

I will sleep anyplace that isn't on the floor-I don't care-like I said I wm good with a couch and I am short, so it doesn't even have to be big:)
Jaye-I could just see one of us in a hammock-I am pretty sure at many times during the night we'd end up on the floor!!LOL

No, he wouldn't that to a bunch of old women... I wouldn't make you sleep in anything I wouldn't sleep in myself... and hammocks don't like me either... neither do army cots.

Hey Sistahs..you all must have truly worn out Sis Kathy, she's still taking her nap!!

We have lots of ladders... different sizes... so, I'm sure we can find you one to get up to where you can give bear hugs to all our friends.

Kathy's going to sleep for days and days... she's got to be worn out completely...
I know the dogs are... poor things... they finally have their house back.

I am glad I found here. I cant wait to get a special buddy and really get to know her and find the most special New year gift.
