Drink Coffee ?

(Zone 7a)

That's when you top off the cup and finish it. Much better without all the sugar.

Bushland, TX(Zone 6a)

No sugar or sweetener for me,I've been told I was sweet enough!!!LOL

Paris, IL(Zone 6a)

I drink mine black at home but when at a restaurant I go extra light and sweet. Just trying to get my money's worth I suppose.

Bushland, TX(Zone 6a)

I hear that, remember when coffee was free with your meal, now anywhere from a buck or
two.

Seminole, OK(Zone 7a)

I got one of those french vanilla cappacino (sp) after work for the drive home. It has been raining steadily here since about 11:00am, Ike moving through. Its not cold but dreary looking so I indulged.

Now at the McDonalds here when you order coffee you have to tell the worker how much cream and sugar you want and they put it in the coffee. I guess they were spending too much money on cream and sugar and people getting a little some to take home.

Bushland, TX(Zone 6a)

Just got home from eating dinner, stop by the local Spangles, fast food eatery, and got a ice cream cone, went up 20 cents since last weekend, when I finish it I will have a hot fresh cup of coffee,I like there ice cream because,it has lots of vanilla!!!!!

(Zone 7a)

All my faves seem to get higher and higher in price. Why only the stuff I like? LOL I had ice cream last night at work. We have a DQ in the food court. I had bananas then ice cream, caramel on top and pecans. Mmm...

Bushland, TX(Zone 6a)

Hmm brings up a question, which do you like better Blue bell,Or Blue Bunny ice cream the
best?

Seminole, OK(Zone 7a)

I use to think if it was ice cream I liked it. I hadn't met an ice cream I didn't like. Boy was I wrong. I stopped in one evening at the Homeland (use to be Safeway a long time ago) in town after picking up a pizza. I got their off brand of ice cream because it was on sale at a really good price. It was awful. I couldn't even eat rest of it, no wonder why it was on sale. My husband thought I was sick to not eat the ice cream until he tried it.
As to Blue Bunny or Blue Bell they are both yummy to me. LOL

Bushland, TX(Zone 6a)

Yep me too, until I got some bryers chocolate double churn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(Zone 7a)

BLUE BUNNY!!! Seems a little creamier than the others. Athough I have a soft spot for DQ.

Bushland, TX(Zone 6a)

Have you all tried the cappuccino ice cream that Braums offers at the ice cream store?

Gladwin, MI(Zone 5a)

I love coffee icecream, except the flavor goes away after the first couple of bites. Is it that your tastebuds cannot taste the wonderful coffee flavor when they are too cold?

Seminole, OK(Zone 7a)

Hey maybe I could try that coffee ice cream before I spent five bucks for a cup of coffee. LOL I guess I mean think about spending five bucks for a cup of coffee. I like Braums ice cream even the sugar free and the frozen yogurt.
Kwanjin does your DQ still sell tacos? The very last DQ went out of business around here many years ago and I miss the tacos and the ice cream cones where they dip it in the chocolate and it gets hard. I'm having a brain moment and can't remember what it is called. McDonalds serves one but it starts to melt even before you can sit at a table.

(Zone 7a)

Some of the DQ's still have tacos and some don't. The one in our mall doesn't. They do have the yummy hotdogs, though.

Bushland, TX(Zone 6a)

Dipped cones!!!!!

Seminole, OK(Zone 7a)

I had a iced coffee today after work. It claimed it was french vanilla but it was too much coffee tasting and not enough french vanilla. Although the more I drank the better it got.

Bushland, TX(Zone 6a)

Curious....Did you drink it with a straw?

Seminole, OK(Zone 7a)

Actually no. I might have tried a straw but they had these certain cups to be used with it and none of the lids fit. So I just drank it like normal except I was afraid I was going to spill it in my truck.

Bushland, TX(Zone 6a)

I've got where I drink my coffee at work with a straw,it fits right thru the drinking hole in my thermos cup.

Seminole, OK(Zone 7a)

I tried a Hazelnut iced coffee from McDonalds yesterday. I didn't go to McDonalds to try it but the place where I work has a small Mickey D's in it that is owned by the big Mickey ds in town and they tore down the big one to put up a new building. So the full menu has been put in in our little Mickey ds. I and a coworker shared it as it was expensive there. It was good, they served it over ice which I liked better than the one I got at the conveince store but it was way small and cost too much. So unless someone else wants to share one I probably won't be getting one again.

Bushland, TX(Zone 6a)

Same here,I know I won't be getting one again, didn't like it all.

Gladwin, MI(Zone 5a)

I got one for the first time over the weekend. It was odd, as the girl at the counter (who had several stars on her tag and looked like she had been there awhile) could not find the button for hazelnut coffee. Another girl said that she had to do vanilla, minus the vanilla and add hazelnut. It took quite a while for us to get our coffee. It was ok. (and free, as we had a coupon) but nothing exciting.

I wonder if you want a chicken sandwich if it is a hamburg, minus the hamburg, with chicken. LOL.

Bushland, TX(Zone 6a)

LOL! Next time I think you should ask to speak to the manager,no matter whether it's free or not!!!!!

Gladwin, MI(Zone 5a)

Oh, the manager was there. The poor clerk asked " is the 16 ounce the small or med size?" and the manager breezed through and answered "yes" so she shrugged and just continued. I actually felt sorry for her, and we were not in a hurry.

I don't go to Mac D's anymore, but this one usually gives very good service. The employees are older and have been there for years. Maybe no one buys ice coffee in Gladwin. Ha.

I have one more free coupon. Maybe they will know how to use it next time.

Paris, IL(Zone 6a)

I haven't tried Mickey D's flavored coffees. But then, I try to avoid going to Mickey D's. The only time I go is when I'm hungry and have to be somewhere soon and don't have time for a sit down meal. I might try a vanilla just to see how it stacks up to a convenience store machine.

Judy's sister uses Hazelnut Coffee Mate. I tried it once and did not like it. I tried a shot of Hazelnut liqueur and thought it okay but it was too sweet for me to want another.

(Zone 7a)

Try a shot of Vanilla Nut Coffee Mate. Awesome, if you like vanilla. DH drinks the Hazelnut.

Bushland, TX(Zone 6a)

Where did you get the vanilla nut coffeemate?

(Zone 7a)

Albertson's grocery. I also get it at Walmart.

Bushland, TX(Zone 6a)

Will look at Walmart,no longer have a Albertson.

(Zone 7a)

WallyWorld is hit or miss on the Vanilla Nut. They do have plain Vanilla, too, which I love. There was another I tried...Vanilla Carmel. Yuh-mee!

Bushland, TX(Zone 6a)

Now I could go for the vanilla carmel!!!!

Gladwin, MI(Zone 5a)

Last sunday morning on the deck.

A cup of hazelnut coffee, the sunday crossword puzzle, 65' and a view of the changing leaves.
Don't get no better!

(I just looked down and thought I should take a picture)

LOL It's funny. I could smell the Hazelnut when I opened the pic! Is that weird or what?

Bushland, TX(Zone 6a)

Life doesn't get any better than that!!!!!

Gladwin, MI(Zone 5a)

Thanks, I thought it was a nice way to relax. In Michigan, you don't get days like that everyday. You need to savor them when they are here.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

I don't like the M D's coffee, tastes like everything else they sell, except for the fries!

I use a different flavor of coffeemate everytime I need some new. I think I have the hazlenut right now but almost out of it. I can't wait until the holiday flavors come out!

Bushland, TX(Zone 6a)

Does anybody's store have a house coffee?
If yes how does it compare to a major brand like folgers.

Gladwin, MI(Zone 5a)

I have to say, to save money (folgers was getting out of sight) we tried the Save a Lot brand of coffee. We figured by mixing a little of the hazelnut in it, it would cover the cheap flavor. What we found was a rich aroma and a wonderful coffee.
We don't miss folgers, but we do notice the 4 -5 dollar savings per container.

Bushland, TX(Zone 6a)

I agree, just got back from Walmart buying groceries.
Houseblend folgers,$8.48
Wish I could find butternut again.
