Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

No tripe for me either... ugh...

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Think I got that same disease. Don't have to talk about it, just thinking about it makes my weight soar--------------
Somehow I recall this joke....
Man to wife: It would be your birthday tomorrow, what do you want?
Wife: Anything that is from 1 to 300, dear.

A day later, man brought wife her birthday present...a bathroom scale that reads 1 to 300 pounds!!

Question. Will man remains a dear to wife?

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Hmmmm.... good question.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Hello ladies, just wanted to say good night, and to let you know i got the ISP all fixed. Linda Kay

Raleigh, NC

great Linda!

need steak calories for digging. But if anyone anywhere has a good empanada (sp?) recipe I'd love it. The one a gal from Chile taught me had ground beef and raisins - seems to me it might have had boiled eggs, too and she baked them. I've been trying to find one like it. oh so yummy. Of course, lost it in my divorce 20 years ago. all I can find locally are ones filled with taco meat or pie fillings.

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Bonnie... is this what you're talking about?

Ladies, Please don't open any email, you did not sign up for. So many virus's are attached to them. My Mom ruined her new computer that way. Saw an ad for a free $50.00 K-mart gift card, and could not resist. WHAM! there goes her computer!!! just delete the emails if you did not ask for it... it is just spam.
I delete a lot of emails everyday, that are just junk.
And make sure you have a good anti virus running all the time there are free ones out there. Check these out, I use the first one.

Recommended Free Anti-Virus Programs
(Never install more than one anti-virus program)
http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html
AVAST Anti-Virus (free version for personal/home use) AVAST will continue to offer and support their free version. It's great and we use it on our PCs.

AVG Anti-Virus (free version for personal/home use) AVG 7.5 version works in Windows Vista.

These all come from a weekly email I get from a site called cloudeight. Lots of handy computer tips in it.

Good morning Sistahs and Favorite Niece.
Thanks LK. Your advice is a gem. If you don't sign up nor subscribe consciously to anything, any emails soliciting or from sites unsubscribed, I'd always delete.

Also watch out for emails from your friends that has unexpected *Excel* files attached, some are trojan viruses too. A good thing to do is to create a pseudo address starting with "a" like aaaaa1@aa.com. This way, you know your address book has been compromised if that email address was returned to you as couldn't be delivered at that address.

Plenty to do as usual today for me. Hope it will be a stress free for you all.

Stacey dear, I'm just 5 ft. 2, got Dolly Parton like boobs, but can do more damage than Kel who's 6ft. 4!!

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Stacey, JoJo and I both are on our second belt... the tumbler came with the belt installed and one extra... both cheap made belts... I've ordered some more better ones... hope they get here before this one breaks.

Have you tried this with your green beans?

2 tblsp butter
dash of Worsteshire sauce
dash of garlic salt
2tblsp brown sugar
Melt that together in the microwave.
Then you take 1 can whole green beans and about 4 strips of bacon.
Wrap 8-10 whole green beans in 1/2 strip of bacon, secure with a toothpick. place in a pan.
Pour the sauce over the "Green Bean Bundles".
Bake at 400 degrees until the bacon is done. About 20-30 mins.
Mouth watering good.

Oh, and use that same sauce mixture to glaze carrots after the water is poured off...

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

I can do that BJ! I bet they be good with asparagus too.

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

I don't know, haven't tried asparagus... but Don and I have String Bean Bundles quite often... and I usually make a big batch of them for holiday dinners ... the whole family loves them.

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

Linda Kay, thank you for that computer info. I really need to pass that info on to Larry.

And your tip too, Jaye, thanks.

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Welp... just checked on my tumbler, and that second belt broke during the night...
so, come on mail man... bring on those new belts.

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Hmmm... just had a conversation with Don... he's going to buy a motorcycle tomorrow... sheesh... think he's living his second childhood? He's never even ridden a cycle...
Won't catch me on it... I don't think...

.

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

My mind is working overtime this morning... got a question...

I have a gal jug of worcheshire sauce... wonder if it goes bad after it's opened ... can I freeze it?

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

bj, it shouldn't go bad. i buy it in the gallon jugs and leave it in the cabinet

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Dunno BJ. Don't use that sauce here.
BJ, please tell Don, the roads are not what they were years ago. A lot of inconsiderate drivers who won't give way to cyclists. Every year during the Harley Davidson weekends here at the beach, the ones that got killed are always the ones with limited bike experience. And those were mostly middle aged gents.

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Thanks Kathy. I was thinking it might not go bad. I use a lot of it, but I've never had a whole gal of it open before.

Jaye, he knows the dangers, and he's really not a risk taker... that's why I'm so surprised he wants a cylcle... he showed me on the web what he's buying... it's really a scooter that's street worthy... says he just wants to ride it around here...like just down to the store if he doesn't have to haul big things.... like lumber. I told him he has to take the test and get a motorcylcle license... and he said..."ok"... so, I guess he's serious...
Now, I know I'll get the Miata I want... hehehe.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Then that will be a good purchase!
And yes, I say YES again to the Miata!!

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Jaye, I don't think it would be a good purchase, at all. He'll ride it a little while... then the thrill will wear off, and it will sit somewhere in the way forever.
Now, a Miata... that would be different...

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

I am up, finally. Still need more coffee. Jaye will ask Kim about the soup recipe--she might have it in her cookbook.

Another belt BJ? Wow they are really easy to break aren't they? My son has a motorcycle but he did go to school to be licensed. Only rides on good days! Mom not overly thrilled with the idea but what can I say-he's a grown man now.

Hi Tinky, at least I am a little taller at 5' 4" or maybe less--could have shrunk by now.

LK thanks much for all the virus information. It is everywhere now!! One can never be to careful with the computer any more.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Look at JOJO's link. DG is 8 years old!!!!
Linda Kay

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Okay, having trouble with who makes the coffee? It is solved!!

WHO DOES WHAT?

A man and his wife were having an argument about who should brew the coffee each morning. The wife said, 'You should do it because you get up first, and then we don't have to wait as long to get our coffee.

The husband said, 'You are in charge of cooking around here and you should do it, because that is your job, and I can just wait for my coffee.'

Wife replies, 'No, you should do it, and besides, it is in the Bible that the man should do the coffee.'

Husband replies, 'I can't believe that, show me.' So she fetched the Bible, and opened the New Testament and showed him at the top of several pages, that it indeed says .
