Of course Bon! Phelps is phenomenal!
Hope you have time for yourself too, besides the irises.
**SWEET INTERRUPTION** 13
Hmmm... JoJo... Lowes had a whole rack of those in their rescue sale... for cheap... and I passed them up because I had never heard of them and didn't know how to take care of them... DARN... should have gotten a couple anyway... for $2, I could afford to kill em.
Lolol...for me it would be free, and still feel guilty about killing them!!
Do ya'll remember someone posted a warning about a bad email circulating? CNN money maybe? I need to reread that post. I just got an email Like that one mentioned I think.
Yup, it says not to open it. Don't try it Deb.
Help me find that post! Did Linda Kay post it? I need my Larry to read it.
It is LK that posted it. Will take a while for me to look it up with my dial up..but I'll let you know here.
Thank you, I'm still hunting too. Maybe Linda Kay has this thread on her watch list and can point me right to it soon.
this is one I found online.
http://weblogs.variety.com/thompsononhollywood/2008/08/fake-cnn-email.html
I wouldn't open anything that says it's coming from CNN or any of the big tv network. Kinda suspicious, when one of those claimed they got subscribers email list?? Too big to be luring subscribers..right.
Oops...Kel just walk in..off to feed our bellies.
LK, hope you can help Deb!
Marion, hope you stay safe gf. Catch y'all later!
Looking okay here. Now my thoughts are on you and those up your way. Eat something good for me!!!
has it passed you Marion? you mean it's headed north? rain!
Bonnie... it hasn't hit the Fla Shore yet... but it's making a turn away from Marion at the moment... this Lady Fay can still pack a punch, so no one in Fla is out of the woods yet. Looks like it's going to pass the full length of the state...
UPDATE ON TUMBLER EXPERIMENT:
Here's a pic of the clear glass I've been tumbling ... after 5 days.
JoJo and I have decided that milk glass might be more dense than clear glass... so my milk glass tumbler hasn't made much of a change.
The tumbler comes with 2 belts... one on the machine, and one extra... JoJo and I both have our second belt on now... and have more belts ordered... hope they come in before I need to replace it again.
I may be wierd but I think it is pretty. Sounds like you both are havin fun.
Nope Bon, has passed, just got some nice sunshine for a couple of hours and back to gloomy looking. It looks and feels like a hurricane. Please don't ask me to explain--just a feeling you get I guess.
Welp... those gut feelings count for a lot... we're still praying and blowing.
Talked with sister earlier. Not really bad there, rain but even that has gotten Mom really upset. Bringing back Charley to her thoughts. They are okay though.
prayers to all, I just saw it on the news, and it looks like it's headed back across Florida!
hadn't thought about tumbling glass!
HiYa everyone!
Just thought I'd pop in and say hello.
Hello! giggles.
Anyway sorry to run off but I have had one busy week.
Between school starting up and all it's been just a tad nuts, but fun too.
Got three kids 8th, 10th grades and 1st year in college! So we are off to a new school challenge.
Well now, I have been "lurking" as they say just to keep up.
You all sound like your having lots of fun with the Jar swap!!
Would have joined you, but decided I am the worst swapper ever in DG history!! ROFL, got to be honost just don't have time. or I should explain I have time to make all the cool stuff. BUT...I sure do enjoy all of your exchanges!
Marion...Yikes, I hope that Faye doesn't get too close. Glad to hear mom and sis are good too.
Hey, I hope your belt comes in..That tumbled glass looks cool!
Hey Bestest Fairy, (gotta back track) you sound adorable and yep I DO just love l;ittle people, and things. I am not exactly a giant eightther
smallest in my family so one of the reason i like small is because LOL, thats about all I can handle...heheh, even some of my tools are (Child) size!
Hello Jaye, what have you been up too...Brain fried so I don't remeber all that I have read, Yikes...
And Hi BJ!!
OK off to see what the kiddos are upta.
Oh please don't stop praying till LF stopped being a threat!
So nice of you to pop in Judy! Perhaps you'll be able to join in one swap after things fall into a routine at your home.
The glass pieces look good. I like the odd shapes and I disagree Marion...you're not weird. Just appreciate unique stuffs.
Kel just told me to go ahead and get a tumbler. It looks like fun..so you have to order extra belts?
Took some pictures of some blooming brugs tonight, and Serendipity hasn't failed to produce beautiful blooms. This flush here produces one that's almost white...
fairy flowers for Fairy!
have missed y'all. how's everyone doing?
Oh how pretty. My brug is growing but I am concerned. Think inspite of moving, moving and moving it may have gotten to much water with all the rain.
Okay so I am not wierd but do like the unusal it seems. I just loved the looks of the glass BJ posted.
Hello Judy, thanks for the wishes! You just have to join one of our swaps--tons of fun!!
I have moved mine any number of times and the winds shift and they are soaked again. Hope mine make it.
So whatcha have good for dinner tonight Jaye?
Oh man, Jaye, I'm sorry. You need to fix you a frog house under your brugs and move some frogs in to take care of those grass hoppers. Those things have been terrible this year. No ants, but grass hoppers yes!
Oh Jaye that would have been much worse than my water.
Kel ordered fajitas and I of course opted for more spiciness....Chile Colarado. Was gonna take a pic..in fact brought the camera with me..but the smoke from the fajita just smogged the lens :D
Brugs are pretty tough..when they lose leaves, newer ones will emerge unless they're strickened by diseases beyond their control.
Autum Treasure, love her twangs..
Deb sweetie...I have frogs ALL over, but they can't keep up!!!!!! Kel suggests using poison...not me...I can't do that!
Jaye, are your Brugs in the ground year round?
Oh Jaye will I ever have some like that. So they are fairly forgiving? I hope so as I am down to 2 of the 4 that were sent to me. Ah ha, the hot stuff. We had chicken enchiladas--Kim made--very yummy.
Yes Deb, you can too. But they're heavily mulched, and I cut them in the fall.
Wooohoooo....Kim need to show me how to cook Mexican, Marion.
Name, please. I have 2 peach varsi I think that it what the note said that came witht hem.
First varigated I've ever seen. Didn't know there was such a Brug. How about that!
I am sure she would be more than happy too. She was lucky when she was sent to Mexico for her last study program to live with a family for a month. The cook really took her in and taught her a lot of things. Probably her favorite to cook besides cakes.
those are all lovely brugs! wish I had somewhere to overwinter them!
y'all should have come over to our house for dinner. 18th anniversary of the day DH and I met. Kroger's had special on T-Bones, nice meaty ones. Worked my way through college at a fabulous steakhouse, so got out my spices and did my "thang", sliced up slabs of vidalias, zucchinis, added those with the spices to the grill. Local Flowers thrift shop breadstore makes those buns that the Outback and Lonestar Steakhouse use, had those in stock when I went by after my water aerobics this morning. Popped those in the oven. DH started his steak, washed big russets and popped those in the microwave, and took over the cooking with a near-beer in hand. I relaxed and watched Olympics.
It was yum. Hope thought so too, as she got her first of four bones and all the fat and grissel!
Have such bad weeds from all the rain, have decided to dig all the remaining irises that are weed threatened - all 400 of them.
I have a Versi Peach too with variegated leaves. That do well in sun too, and very resilient.
Don't think it's a Snowbank as the markings are different, so I'll say it's a NOID for now. :) It's growing in dappled shade, pretty surprising that it blooms well for me.
Uhuh Deb, looks like you'll be taken care of ;)
Only way to learn to cook another culture's cuisine, Marion. From a native cook! I love Menudo and it's hard to find restaurants here that serve that.
So you have 900 irises dug by the time it's over! Oh Bon...I hear your back complaining already!
Happy Anniversary!! Hope you celebrate 100 more! Make mine rare please... especially when it's t-bones!
