My Conc d pre was planted in Late May.
Gardening Photo's - Part 31
Thanks for your interest in what are my "treasures" ..... here's the outside of an old "photo" deguerrotype, I think, of my Great, Great Great, Great Grandmother.
I opened it carefully only to just barely find, the faded remains of an image, just about gone. A mirror remaining.
I am nonetheless charmed by the crafts"person"ship of the item on the whole.
I believe the flower motif was a symbol of her fondness for gardening.
Patti- Great pics I love that rose-Marmalade skies
Willie, what a gorgeous house. That's the next type of house I want with a big wrap around porch. She def looks "stern", would hate to get "the look" from her.

Celeste:
I have just now gotten back online today and say your message. Hon ... I would never think of you are being a 'know it all' in the bad, rotten, sense. I am so very grateful for your knowledge!!!
Beautiful flowers and fantastic shots everyone. I don't have much new to post but I'm still lurkin in eveyday and creating my wish list.
Thanks Al and Jan. I'm going to give helenium a try next season.
Great pics everyone. Celeste - I love your NOID Larkspur. Very pretty.
dang, again another very busy day for everyone. I think that I am at least a week behind! But, it'll be that way for a bit.
Thanks to everyone for all the nice things about the field patch of yellow flowers. I wish that I could claim them as my own, but unfortunately that was all mother nature. I actually didn't know what they were either and had to send the picture off to a friend that's a native specialist. So, apparently the yellow flowers are Arnica chamissonis. They were growing in a meadow at about 5000' in elevation, out in the woods. Apparently they prefer the high elevation for some reason. Whatever it is.... it was sure a pretty yellow field!
JoAnn, Your conc d'ore's are coming along great!!
Willie your field of milkweed is really nice looking. I think that the purple thing that you're calling vetch is some kind of knapweed http://images.search.yahoo.com/search/images;_ylt=A0oGkxRnO6VI1HMAy_1XNyoA?ei=UTF-8&p=spotted%20knapweed&fr2=tab-web&fr=yfp-t-501 , which might also be called Vetch.... i'm not exactly sure. That's a wierd looking fungus, I've never seen anything like that before.
dragonfly, I love those black eyed susan's. them and the cazing globe thing belong together!
bbrook... those are nice collages of a great garden. I love the cottage stile gardens, plants can be free!
Pixie, your loudmouth delphinium is great! Do you know the name or at least what strain it might be part of?
Donna.... who says that you have to have something new to post? same plants on different days, with different light, at different times... all look different and nice, even though it the same!
beautiful photos everyone
RC takes my breath away how your colors are so vibrent.
What a visual treat on a busy work day.
Pixie that Zella DL is a winner.
Patti, love your collages, especially the 'random' shots.
pix, 'Zella' is amazing. Glad to see 'Joseph's Coat' doing well for you. It's a beauty. Wish I had more space for climbers.
Nancy, gorgeous dahlia!
JoAnn, wish I could see your Conc d ore in person...another for my list.
Willie, I just love the house. but you're right, the upkeep would be astronomical. here's my great, great grandfather, a preacher
Didn't get out in the garden..company. My younger DGD is staying for a few days. She's 14. I told her I'm putting her to work. She already did some planting for me this summer. She's always been my 'gardener'.
Beautiful Bev
Those are great colors
