Proud daddy "Blue" likes the mirror, A LOT. LOL
Momma "Cloud" is nearly pure white. Babies have her white wings and tops, his blue bottoms and black wings markings. DD can tell them apart. Note full grown, Cloud is much smaller. Her former roommate Sky was like her (but she murdered her!) I just missed getting a photo of them smoochin'. DD says "they are at it again, wonder how often they mate?"
Auntie - and she did help tend the babies - "Cee" was Blue's originally proposed mate, but he wasn't interested. She and Blue are the same, larger size. Babies look like they might grow about halfway inbetween.

beautiful family
Is that a vine or is it growing from a single stem? The leaves look like Japanese Glorybower, Clerodendrum trichotomum...Just taking a long shot wild guess. I have 4 of these trees I'm trying to get planted. One down three to go. If that is truely what it is, then it smells like peanut butter when it blooms. It also reseeds under the tree that's one of the reasons I'm guessing it, plus the fact the leaves and new growth look familar to me. If it's a vine, then I just excerised my fingers typing LOL

Does it have a bulb at its roots? The leaves look similiar to four o'clocks.
I thank Jesus my Lord and Savior for this great day. This is one birthday celebration I will never forget.
My sisters called me from France and Singapore when we got home from the vet. (Kitties booster shots), that's why I'm late into getting online.
Then to read all these greetings. Thank you so much my sistahs...we are sistahs that have not met, that's all.
Joey, your gnome sure knows to belt out some Coltrane numbers!
Thanks for the cake, Linda K.... my only cake for today.
Sis, my brother once had a pet rooster that the family had for dinner and he didn't even know!
Bon, I had a pet budgie, Pippin, that greeted me each morning and loved giving kisses. Whenever I'm on the phone, it will try to speak into it.
Went overseas, had a friend babysat it, and it drowned in the commode.
Looking at your pics, make me want to raise another...but with 3 cats now in the house, I think it will be disastrous.
BJ, maybe Don will be staining that not so suffering deck!!
Deborah, Deborah, Deborah... I just can't believe what you went through for me!
You all have to click on that YouTube link and see my past!!!
I was 8 years old when Singapore's Naomi and The Boys did a cover of "Happy Happy Birthday Baby". My sister and I would scream at the top of our lungs, singing along with her, whenever it's on the radio. And at "How did we say goodbye?", we held our chests and collapse to the floor! Naomi was 18 at that time. And the A Go Go rage...we drove our Mum crazy!!! Memories are made of this!
Thank you Deborah.. it is I that should thank you all for coming into my life.
No it is not a vine, it is a tree like plant. There are several of them in the pot, and I just wanted to know what it was before I pulled it up. Don't know if there is a bulb or roots...
Jaye glad to hear your having a good Birthday!!!
Linda Kay
Happy Birthday, Jaye!!
Nope, Jaye... Don's gone to work now... but he did mention the staining again before he left.. I told him that it will wait till fall... cause it's going to be an all day job, and once we start staining, we have to finish it in one fell swoop, or we will see lines where we stop and start... Not sure if he believed me, but he dropped the subject.
Oh, I love those memories I have with my sis too... she's 4 years older than me, but I remember mimicking her and her friends when they'd listen to the radio and dance and sing, holding a hair brush for a microphone... then falling on the bed like they were fainting. Mostly, I was making fun of her... we were very different, I was a tomboy through and through... and didn't get into her teen idol stuff much.
I don't think Dolly likes Don very much. He wanted to see the nest in person... so I told him to walk very slowly and talk to her in a soft voice... he only got about 5' from her, and she left the nest with her beak wide open, giving him the evil eye. He immediately backed away, and she returned to the nest. Guess, he'll just have to let me keep him posted... she does let me get closer.
I did look up some info on wild mallards incubation... and learned that it takes 27-28 days... She started to sit on them Sunday, so the best I can figure, they'll hatch about Aug 24th... BUT, they've been known to abandon the nest if they're frightened by something... like lawn mowers... so.... hmmm... might just have to let the grass grow for a month.... huh?
Thanks Joyce!!
Thought on one's birthday, one's excused from doing chores? Well, I just got to water the plants in a while, but been fighting the 'net again. Sheesh, think we are held hostage by dial up!!
One fell swoop you say BJ? Tell that to Kel.
This is Kel...
Kel :Honey, are we changing the flooring?
Me :Yes, sure would like to replace the linoleum...perhaps parquet?
(Busy cooking... all of a sudden I hear a rip..turned around and there's Kel ripping a piece off)
Me: What are you doing?
Kel: Oh..can't stand the colors anymore..
Me: Why don't you wait till we price the material costs??
Kel: We'll do it soon, Honey.
Fast fwd to now. 6 months later, I'm still buying rugs to place over where the linoleum's been ripped.
Auntie thinks thou should leave the grass alone!! Ha!! Don now has to deal with 2 mamas!! Did Dolly hiss at him? That must be hilarious!
Plants are thirsty.
Thank you....thank you Judy! You are all so sweet.
Haven't seen a deer here lately....hadn't heard any shots neither, so I hope she's okay.
Here's a new swap... come join us...

aweeee Jaye, it's your special day, but I'm the one with the special envie! I'm going to fill a box with this!! you best get crack'in on a nice flower bed in the sun!
if these lay any more eggs we'll have far too many and more babies will mean you should try having a new budgie, cats or no cats!
Bon, that's what I love about irises, daylilies and crinums. They take full sun, and that I have plenty of!
Well, I am late getting in here to wish a Happy Birthday to my Sista!!! Jaye, I hope all the best and wonderful things in the coming years. You can into my life when I needed it and for that I will always be grateful. Enjoy, I wish I was where I could give you a huge hug!!!!
Greetings everyone. Sister's computer is slow so I haven't read much--hard loading at times. Plans are starting to fall into place so about next Wednesday morning someone have the sweet rolls and coffee ready cause my plate and cup will be there to fill.
Marion, My dear... I'll have fresh hot homemade sweetrolls for you. And a fresh pot of coffee... hope everything is going well, we're anxious to get you back...
*Sniff* .. if only y'all know how much I treasure each and everyone of you. Y'all are a bunch of positive thinking people. Though you have different character traits or may have your own personal setbacks, still y'all never hesitate to show support, encourage and sometimes exhort whenever one needs it. It's so much easier to put that reluctant foot forward knowing you have a bunch of sistahs right there on your shoulder..whispering to you, it's gonna be okay...things will get better...
I believe, we have a very successful relationship, my Sistahs!
Here's my hug across the screen, Marion! Love you too! Soon, I hope you'll be able to rest.
Well said, Jaye.
I second that.
Here, here!!!
Ditto.
Marion you take care, and glad to hear things are working out.
Later
Linda Kay
