Yeah. Kinda weird end, huh? That's Joss Whedon. He makes you think. I guess the purpose was to show that it doesn't take Hollywood to make entertainment. It takes writers with talent.
Actually, I didn't see Serenity or Firefly on TV. A friend got me hooked way after-the-fact. The series didn't make it - but it has quite a cult following (including Sheri and me, we found out much to our mutual surprise) and fans are called Browncoats.
You should rent it if you get the chance.
Whats Blooming part 4
Kathy. . .finally saw the whole thing. That ROCKED! Loved it! Can't wait for the DVD. Thanks for that.
Pixy ~ If you look closer, you may recognize Dr. Horrible. It's Doogie Howser. . .
Pix - glad you liked it. You're as young as you feel - I want to get the DVD of the old Carol Burnett Show reruns. They still make me laugh 'til my stomach hurts.
A funny story with these faided foxgloves. I saw a very chubby bumblebee
go inside the bloom on the right. I was determined to get a good shot of this bee. So I waited and waited and waited and waited some more for him to come out. After waiting for about ten minutes with the camera poised, I told myself.."self..there can not be that much pollen in that one bloom for him to stay in there that long ! Carefully I pulled the bloom towards me and guess what!! It was void of any Bumblebee. I have no idea how or when he got out.
Mystery plant/weed ? This plant is so huge & healthy which makes me believe it is a weed & the bugs are not nibbling on it!! It is the most beautiful shade of green. It has small thorns up the center back side of the leaves and random spiky things on the inside of the leaves. It looks tropical and the largest leaves are about 15-20 inches long and growing. Any ideas? Should it stay or should it go?
Bea - your Tweedia looks so happy. And your Monarda is outrageous. None of mine has come back. :-(
I think your weed may be a primula . . . I have some that get pretty big and leafy before flowering.
Bea - Your pictures are always so pretty.
So "big thorny one" - I missed that. I don't think that's a primula. I was looking at the big leaves of the one in the middle.
Possibly a new thread I have to wait for pictures to develope long after I finish reading. Thanks Steve. I am on a wireless here in Washington that is slowwwwwwwwwww.
Wow! Your use of color is fabulous.
Beautiful front yard.
Here is a view of my front yard looking south this time. My goal: flowers -- in all sorts of shapes, colors, and textures. I call it my miniature Butchart. My planning is minimal but I did choose a lot of reblooming daylilies, multiple echinacea varieties, and several dahlias. I just add colorful annuals like lobelia and zinnias for spot color.
