I'm thinking more on the lines of buying a card of smooth top buttons... paint them and then seal them with a clear spray sealer. think that would work?

For that matter, you can buy the plastic ones at fabric stores or Micheals and spray them. Ladies all ready made that is. I said my eyes are shutting down. Yes, I think you could do the same with flat top buttons.

I was suppose to go with him to Phoenix this time, but I backed out. I will go with him to Denver on the 14th for a few days though...

That'll be nice. Denver ought to be a few degrees cooler!

Yea... really... he called me at 10pm last night (8pm in Phoenix) and told me it was 108 degrees, and the sun had already gone down... I'm sorry, but that's just too hot for me. He does nothing but complain when he has to be in Phoenix. So, now you know why I didn't go... LOL

I've travelled to AZ and NV and NM and people always told me, but it's dry heat, it's not so bad. Pbbbbbh I don't care if its humid or dry 118 degrees is hot! If it's hot enough to cook food, it's too darn hot!!

Ya know, JoJo... Don told me the same thing... People out there are telling him that the dry heat isn't as bad... he tells them that an OVEN is dry heat too... and 118 degrees will cook meat eventually...

It actually got up to 124 there yesterday afternoon.

Ooooh oven that reminds me got part of my project drying in the oven...hopefully not burning LOL

aren't i the lucky one!! got my map ready and going to bring my swim suit! i will most likely get lost but when i get there i am going to get to see that huge fairy area bj's been telling us about! i am sooooooooo excited!

I'm excited too... and you'll also get to see the hypertufa projects I'm working on.. and I'll get to pick you creative brain for ideas... and we'll get to actually laugh out loud together... in person... and Don gassed up the jet skis before he left for us... and ... and... there's so much to do in one day... we'll have a blast.

oh we will won't we?! and i haven't tried hypertufa yet so i will enjoy seeing and asking how to do it ! isn't that don a great guy -getting things ready for us!?

He is a great guy... maybe sometime you can bring your hubby out when Don's home... we can all enjoy a day on the lake.

Oh, it's a HUGE lake... we'll all fit... and they'll hear the laughter for miles and miles... it would be a really glorious day if we could all get together.

------unpretentious!! Just got back from the vet, and he observed the dirt under my nails!!

I thought that was the natural color of my nails... and I scrub them with a brush 3 doz times a day !!!

We go through a lot of hand lotion here.

LOL... Jaye, that reminds of when I had my hand surgery back in Feb & Mar... when the doc came in the recovery room, both times... he asked me what I planted the day before... said the dirt was still showing in my cuticles. HEHEHE... he's a gardener too, so it was ok.. he just laughed.

Tell me he has a Farmer's Almanac in one of his coat's pockets!!
My doctor discussed gardening with me, cause I had met his dad, and he's an avid gardener too. So, doc tried to impress his dad by learning a few tips from me.

I am so envious of BJ and Linda!! Boo hooo, I wanna come too!! What a day that will be, I can hear the laughter now, and the ideas flowing, oh the joys of being able to meet face to face.

Jaye hope all went well at the vets. We have a couple of kitties that need to make a trip unfortunately we think it might be one way. Sad but do have a problem!!!

Kathy, so sorry you don't get to go any where. You can always come visit me, remember. I will be really nice to you--maybe! LOL Just bring pictures of flowes and you know I will!!!! Better yet bring flowers.

So sorry to hear the sad vet stories. It is the hardest things to make that one way trip!

BJ, and Linda, you will have such a time together, and I bet you will be heard here in Del Rio also. Don't get so loud the neighbors call the sherriff!!! Don't forget the pictures.
