Wow - you're warmer than here, Celeste!
Today's Weather in Your Garden - 21
Finally! It's my reward for being buried in snow this winter. hee hee
In that case it's well-earned.
Yay! No frost! Better get out there and remove those towels!
Lucky you, Booj!
We had just a slight frost. But, so far, all looks OK in the gardens.
It is absolutely beautiful today. 71 degrees and sunny with a slight breeze.
Absolutely! Was out all day. 77 and gorgeous.
victor what is the Virbunum dentaturn you mentioned on another topic
Went to see my sister in Trumansburg beautiful trip down Rt 89 next to Cayuga Lake and fabulous day with friends and lunch with greens just picked mixed with violets and toasted walnuts. She makes a mean zuchini lazagna with walnuts too, toped off with white grapes n yogurt sauce and chrystalized ginger. Welcome Sweet Spring.
Yes - a great day all around. Nice shot, Pirl. Looks like a nice place to visit. Bill - Harper had bought a Blue Muffin viburnum, which is a Viburnum dentatum cultivar. For best fruiting with viburnums, you should have another variety of the same species, so any other V. dentatum will do for Harper.
Wow, Victor! That's quite a size! Love the curves, too.
It's huge! What a great place it will be when it's done.
looking good Victor.... can't wait to see the finished product
Temp 62.7°, Rh 55%, Baro 29.82↓. ☺
Nice patio Victor!
60.7 out here now.
I'm still warm at 67°
Looks like a great place for a party, RU? Hint. Patti
Thanks all. Yes, it will be large, as I did want. Hopefully next year I will add a pergola with an optional shade covering. We are seeing if a raised planter can be included. It will go right near the pond so the Adirondack chairs will go back. Hopefully there will be room for the return of the hammock, once there is shade.
It will be fun to watch as your project is finished and furnished.
It was impressive yesterday to see them lift the concrete walkway pieces up and away, avoiding the plants in the beds on either side!
How polite, and observant of them.
Well - they were kind of forewarned! I told the boss he could say whatever he wants about my mother, but if one plant was injured...
^_^
It never hurts to warn them first. We did it with the vinyl siding guys and the roofer and not a plant was harmed.
I usually put out a pitcher of Ice water & some girl scout cookies, (that I buy from the neighbors out of courtesy which I never eat) - works wonders with cooperation when it comes to laborers. ☺
We offer them bathroom privileges to save ourselves any possibility of grief as well as treats to keep up their energy.
Will the patio eleminate the lawnguys weed wackers Victor?
It's going to be a GLORIOUS day
a low of 50* and a high in the hi70's .
Today is Liquid Fence day.
How timely just as the roses are beginning to bloom.
Pictures when it happens
Oh Jo Ann! Roses in bloom soon! Lucky you!
It's still a bit chilly here this morning as the thermometer reads 41°. Forecasters say we will reach into the low 70s again today, but rain off and on for most of the weekend.
There's just a slight wind out of the west right now, but I bet it will kick up later in the day. The humidity is at 59%, and the dewpoint is 39°. The barometric pressure is 30.09 in. and rising.
It will be a good day for being outside with the bugs!!
Thanks for the Deep Woods OFF reminder. The noseeums are horrible on hot days.
56 and heading up to the mid 60's in Nantucket, but I am off to the NYC/Brooklyn for a couple of days. Looks like rain for tomorrow.
I am going to a hit Atlantic Ave in Brooklyn for spices then go to a hear the Brooklyn Youth choir. I have had the huge help of a friend for the last couple of days in the garden who is the proud papa of a member in of one of the Training Choruses so I am driving him home today and then we will go hear the concert. We did give him bathroom privileges and the best mattress in the house. Inviting a friend who loves to garden, but lives in an apartment is beyond great. I am exhausted from just trying to keep up with him. Loved it. Out to see what he did after I quit much earlier yesterday. Enjoy the good day all. Patti
51 and sunny. No, Jo Ann, I'll still need the lawn service.
Sunny, 62.7 going to 75 and winds at 5 mph.
Sunny, 61 with gorgeous blue sky.
Gosh, I've missed you guys! I feel like I've been gone for months. So glad to be back.
Glad to have ya back!! Where did you disappear too??
My son graduated from Bu and I had the family here for 12 days! I can't wait to get my fingernails dirty!
Congrats to the new grad.
