Best/ worse/ ? did you learn today #43 visit with friends...
Beautiful pictures GG, and your garden is wonderful. Love the gnome!
Just checking in before going to bed. I was supposed to babysit overnight tonight so that the couple I babysit for could go camping. It's supposed to rain really hard tonight, possible thunderstorms, and then get chilly tomorrow so they decided to just go for tomorrow night instead. This evening Sonora and I participated at a coffeehouse to help celebrate Nurses Week. Every so often different people here will hold a coffeehouse where people perform and refreshments are sold as a fundraiser. Tonight I sang 'Skye Boat Song' as a duet with one of the doctors and I played piano while Sonora sang 'On Top of Spaghetti'. It was nice to see the other acts too. One guy played the guitar sooo well it was really cool.
Anyway, I better get to bed - goodnight.
Hi Kwanjin,
Nice to have you here. Great kitty photo. Looks a little like my Jazz.
We would love it if you shared your gardens with us, too...or anything else for that matter.
Welcome.
i'm picturing a caffeinated cat...
boing.
..boing.
...boing.
>>>crash.
Hey you! We crossed. Yeah, bouncy kitty!!!
welcome kwanji, now is that a flamepoint?
My Jazz doesn't need caffeine to go boing boing boing....
Normal behavior for him.
Monty's great, I will dig out a picture of his twin and will post when I find it.
His tail is fluffy like a fox.
And who is that?
What a beauty! It takes a special girl to look that good covered in styrofoam peanuts...
LOL
Well, what a crummy photo. I just took it and must have had the camera set for close ups. Duh
Let me see what else I can find...surely I can do better than that.
Hey Bev..oh how pretty.
I did see Bev, beautiful, can't wait to see them when they have berries.
Morning and welcome Kwanjin, everyone here is special and enjoys having someone new move into the neighborhood..love the kitty photo's, have 2 myself, Missy and Riley, no caffein but Missy sure knows where to find the catnip plants outside...thought I had all but disposed of them last year when she 'overdosed' yep kitty druggy..lol
Gillian, haven't listened to the news this morning but as of yesterday they were calling for our long weekend to be filled with rain..so, have projects galore and house cleaning I can be doing to fill in those days...
Jeannine, OMG, your 'mommy' made me cry! There is absolutely NO DOUBT that she loves it and it made her Mothers' Day... had me worried there, thought maybe she wouldn't recognize it...lol...
Wow, just looked at the times you were posting...late night for you all, I was in bed by 6:45 pm and slept right through *few tosses/few turn' so body must have needed it..
Amy and the rest of you 'non-sleepy' people, you probably did too much today and your adrenaline is working overtime...
Well, better make myself beautiful, another early morning at the hospital, then I'm coming straight home, might drop in and pick up that 'blue' hosta..no energy to do so last night..
Enjoy your day, I'll be back to check in on you all..
Morning all.
Hi Kwanjin, nice to see you dropping in.
Betty, When I was out shopping the other day I saw a plaque with the words " God gives us rain so gardeners can get their housework done"..I need to do that today.
I was amazed by the assortment of perennial plants you have. Wonderful, for only three years of making it all come together..
You are a whirlwind! Hope all goes well with your tests.
Jeannine,
I love the photo of the corner of your gardne with the very elegant knome in residence. What a very special gift for your Mom.
Thinking about Gita and Ruby meeting up at the RU..hope the weather is good for them all.
Laura,
Nice idea for all of us to send a half yard of cloth for a friendship quilt.
If you decide to go ahead, I will send a piece of material.
This is what I call my Nook garden right near the back of the Secret Garden. Can you notice all the Lily of the valley poking up through the pine needles. The blooms are are just starting to show themselves...I love to pick a stem and smell it as I walk around the garden.

Judy have fun taking pictures. I forgot to aslkDH where he lived but just now Lill Street popped into my head.
Betty enjoy getting the Hosta and whatever else you find. Hope the appointment goes fast and easy.
Starzz your garden is coming along so nice. I looked out the window and saw blosson buds on the one apple tree. Can hardly wait.
Gilli how fun was that? reminds me of the one show that use to be on tv set in Alaska. Northern ?? I loved that show.
Have to go. I keep debating with myself whether I should go and get some groceries. But I want to work outside for a bit. I think the outside is going to win!
You all have the day you need.
Vicki

judy, good try again, shar she is being a brat!!!
Liz, Brat is Judy's Middle Name. Think I will start calling her Judy B.
Morning, folks...sunshine here too...so maybe it is gonna be a good one.
Happy friday.
Good morning, everyone! Thanks for the welcome. Some of you know me already so I'm not a complete stranger. ☺
Lots of sun here today. Going to be busy weeding in the front yard. I planted parsley a couple of years ago and I let it go to seed. Ugh! WAY too many seedlings.
Cute puppy!
Love the hosta, Dragonfly.
The bench pic looks very tranquil, Starzz.
And jazz looks like he could be a brother of Monty. Too bad Daisy got bored. She could have been a STAR!
Morning, KJ...
Daisy thinks she already IS a Star....aloof and above and beyond the stunts Jazz pulls.
Carol, everytime I see your Secret Garden I am there, it is so tranquil.
OK, outside now...am afraid I will be playing in the mud, though. Too much rain this week but it will pay off in the end when I am moaning and groaning about the dry heat.
Betty, let us know, please.
Hugs
I'm back..was in Midland for 8am - looked as thought there were only 3 or 4 ahead of me NOT, when I got my # and they called me to register me the assistant said most likely I'd be there most of the day..many out patients and in patients to do first..yuk..so she called over to the Penetanguishene hospital - only 10 minutes further and they said they were busy but not overly busy so off I went, walked in, saw a cousin, talked maybe for 5 min. and then they took me..she was telling me that in July they will be closed for 3 weeks and in August so will Midland..getting the newest of technology..all computerized..specialist can be in Toronto or anywhere in the world looking at the xray as they are being taken..goodie/goodie..so by 9:30 I was finished for today, went to Canadian Tire, purchased a lovely watering can..usually $29.99 on sale for $9.99 IF you bought gas and had a coupon...well, didn't have a coupon - went through the flowers and bought a new shrub- flowers are orange in color and apparently they bear fruit, only one like it .. assistant told me you can't eat it right from the tree but put it in salads, fry or cook..hmmm and this is a shrub...a few more geraniums came home with me, so back to my story, the lady who was on the garden till was having a bad morning, here it's only 10 and already frustrated..wouldn't you know, I only had $100.00 so she said she couldn't take my order and her tone wasn't very pleasant, went on to tell me people should think that it's early morning and not hand out such large bills, so I said, 'that's ok my dear, I can go get it changed inside and come back and pay for my plants...' kept the conversation going in a pleasant tone, went on to take up some of her time telling her that I forgot my coupon..anyway, walked to my car, put the plants in and who comes up to me, in the nicest of voices, 'honey, I'll go tell them that they can charge you the sale price for your watering can' ok..nice of her..thanked her kindly, guess she saw that I was being pleasant even though she was being rude..lol..so it pays...now what will I do with this pretty can, going to paint if with primer and them paint something on it and use it just for show...
Was home by 11, passed the lady's house who was going to give me the 'blue' hosta (not at home) so in I came, changed my clothes and outside to play..so, first project..spray all the metal pieces I bought at garage sale last Sat. with black tremclad..done, planted the shrub and flowers I got - done, attach the 8' fence piece the boys cemented 4x4's for, now will add the lattice, dig up a foot along it's length and plant some vines, should hide the neighbors garbage area - 1/2 done...came in and ate, now I'm off to cut grass, stain the Muskoka Chairs and Table, set out the few birdhouse I have that need a new home (not yours Liz ) already set out 3 windchimes..trying to find a place on the deck for the one Jaye sent me.. and I wouldn't mind sanding the B&B sign and get it painted white so my boys can't say 'told you mom to paint it before we put it up'..they'll be dropping in tomorrow or Sunday, musn't have them make fun of 'mom'
Once I've accomplish all that listed, I'll see what time it is and how much energy I have to continue working today (already worked early this am for 1 hr. on my 'Red/White/Blue' swap project), managed to do all the bedding on my bed..was out on the line and dried and smells so fresh, must now make the bed really quickly so I don't get the idea of having a 'nap' and not go back outside to work...
Sounds as though you are all busy as well..just think after today I still have 3 more days off, just think what one can accomplish or get into in that much time...
Be back on my next break..
oooppss forgot something...
Laura, was at the post office this morning and they asked me if you had finally received your blouses I sent as I had asked them to look into it..said yes I had and went on to tell them that your mail person thought it was sent 'surface mail' which means a boat to Australia via China (lol) so she said she would post out one of my 4 parcels today for 'free' so that was terrific..she said she'll make sure the next thing going to Australia will be on a 'plane'....
