Ladies, I want to show you a very special gift that I received last week, just when I most needed it. It is a gift from a lovely lady, she made it for me from a design drawn by her equally sweet daughter.
This is a hug, and I will have to send it in 3 parts. The yellow outside has the embroided design taken from the drawn design.
Best/Worse/What did I learn today? Pt.41 Visit with Friends
The fun thing is IT WRAPS AROUND ME AND AROUND ME AGAIN....I love it. Thank you Judy and Sabrina. I will treasure this hug always.
We will talk about SPals tomorrow, I had to get the nerve root injections today and am very uncomfortable sitting up for very long, but will be fine tomorrow, I promise.
Hugs to all of you,
Shar
Time for bed, last of the girls just left..I need to be in bed tonight..good nights rest might fix me up...
I received my 2nd gift from Secret Pal, they put stamps over a name..lol..so I'm off to use the boil water over the stamps in hopes of finding out who the lovely lady is that sent me such lovely gifts..lol..I'm almost sure it's either Gillian or Carol..Canadian stamps...unless someone crossed the border to mail it..
Ruby, got your seeds, thank you so much, will put them in ziplock bags in wet paper towels to get them going, then into pots..
Shar, talented lady our Judy...bet you feel the love that went into each and every stitch..isn't it amazing just how thoughtful everyone is...
Can't stay up much longer...lucky to fit in clothes tomorrow so need to get up earlier than normal to check myself out...as I shake my head!
Best of today...going to the post office and getting so many cards and seeds and gift from special pal AND June will go tomorrow and pick up the parcels that are there for me before they get returned...
Worse of today..not far from mom's is a plaze, apparently there was a fight between a man and a woman, man stabbed to woman to death, a passerby (HERO) stopped to help her out and was stabbed and also died...the gentleman that created this havoc tried to stab himself in the throat but the police tazzered him and he's in the hospital..can you imagine, this Hero's family getting that call...prayers for them please...
What did I learn today...That I am overwhelmed by the kindness shown on DG by members to each other..never ceases to amaze me how so many put the next person in front of their needs, no matter how much their needs NEED to be priority...the good Lord certainly made a lot of 'earthly angels'
night everyone..
I know who MY SP was----she confessed after I guessed--via a D-mail.
What worries me is that I have not heard from the person whose SP I was......It was Rachel in WA. Rachel--I know by now she must have received my second gift. Please tell me you did!!! It even had more fabulous wrapping paper.......
We don't see you post a lot anymore either. Are you just busy with gardening, kids, hubby and all that?
Hope all is well....Gita
Well, can't get comfortable lying down either, so here goes:
Here are the secret pals:
Rachel had Ruby
Vicki had Carol
Cath had Liz
Carol had Betty
Gita had Rachel
Liz had Dawn
Betty had Gilli
Laura had Cath
Judy had Gita
Gilli had Judy
Ruby had Jeannine
Jeannine had Laura
Dawn had Vicki
So Happy Secret Pal Day to you!!!
Tomorrow I will tell you about the next round, but I have to figure it out for myself first. There are several who need to take the summer off, and we can all understand that. That leaves us with a smaller number, but I think we can carry on with the ones who want to continue through the summer.
And that is what we will do.
So far I have these who want to continue through the summer:
Jeannine
Cath
Betty
Judy
Laura
Gita
Liz
Ruby
Gilli
and me to make the number even.
If any of this is incorrect tell me tomorrow because tomorrow night I will send out the matchups. OK??
Love to you all...
Shar
Just a note I don't have goats. Did I type something wrong?
Ahhhhh Geeeeesh......too much meds in that injection today. That is so funny, in another thread one of my buddies has goats, and she is having to handfeed the baby triplets because the mama goat somehow broke her leg during childbirth...........don't have a clue what I was thinking......or wasn't thinking. Sorry, Vicki, first mistake I ever made....promise. But the baby goat story has been on my mind all day.
I really do need to go to bed.
^_^
BETTY!!!
guess what turned up??? YES the parcel!!! they are lovely!!! I asked at my post office why it was happening and she said that though you may be asking for airmail that they appear to be coming by sea. so that maybe something you want to check at the postoffice.....
anyway, thankyuou. they fit well.... and we still have some sunny days on the way si i can wear them... thankyou again..
xxx
I'll have to check that out Laura, am just so pleased to hear that you finally got them, if nothing else you'll have them for next summer...geeze was about to think maybe I imagined I had bought and sent them..talk about 'slow boat to China'..lol..that made my day...
Now I was just about to take a guess at who my 'secret pal' was..thanks ever so much Carol and they gift is wonderful..especially the knife, even though a don't cook a whole lot, I DON"T have good cutting knives for when I do so will be anxious to try this one out..and loved the hummer stained glass piece...
Shar, when I was on the farm Bill raised goats for pleasure, I'm sure he still has the herd...it's not uncommon that the mom hasn't enough milk and you have to feed them by hand..2 of the goats were mine because of the care I had to give them in order for them to live..we had a pond about 30 acres into the bush, I'd walk and they'd all follow me out, a few needed to be herded but Sailor would be on the job..will go through some photo's for you to show you the different types..we had a birth of 4 and all survived..the only thing that upset me and I never wanted to know when, is just after they are born, they have the miniature horn buds burnt to the skull..Bill kept saying that they'd simply have a headache for a day...meds had to be applied several times during the day for infection..I thought that was inhumane but he went on to tell me that as goats grow and become agressive, well not really agressive, they love playing with each other and the bunt, many a time if the horns haven't been burnt, and one is pregnant they can bunt and abort or do much damage to the others..so, as long as I didn't know right there and then it wasn't as bad...we did some showing in competitions and it was fun..now I'll truly have to get those put away photo's to remind me of some good times...
Glad you are in this swap Shar..thanks for the work you are doing..yes, some are busy during summer months but for me, just love going to the post office to get my 'treasures'...
Carol, I did use the kettle to take off the stamps to see if I could read the name but NOT, you inked it much to much and the steam made it blurry..lol..I wouldn't make a good P.I.

you all give me something to take through each day even tho you may not realise it.
i thank you all
hugzzzzz
Hi Betty,
LOL....makes me grin to think of you peelaing off the stickers to see who your SP was.
Of course being Canadain stamps sure narrowed it down.
So glad you finally got to the post office. I mailed that package April 15th.
I am sure you will enjoy using the Rada knife. I have a few different ones. I buy one style every year when I am in Myrtle Beach, so when I was there I thought that might be a good thing to make your "slicing and dicing" more enjoyable.
The little plastic scraper I sent in the first package is a wonderful little tool for cleaning pans. I bought 7 of them when I was away and gave them to my friends and family. I love mine...comes in so handy
Laura..what a long time for your package to arrive..but so happy for you both that it did.
Sharon..hope you are feeling back to normal today after having your shots.Sounds so painful.
Judy has such wonderful ideas..so thoughtful. Love the idea of the big Hug.
I am anxious to get outside and play... it is cold again today but the wind has stopped and the sun is shining so I may be able to get some more clean up done. My hostas are starting to emerge..so exciitng to see them. I am looking back at all the photos from last year..some of the tags are blown about,.. need to refresh my memory about which is which. Thank goodness I keep lists of what I have.
Enjoy your day everyone.
Cheers,
Carol
This is part of the Hosta garden from July 26 07
OMG Carol, how beautiful is that, look at those hostas, now Carol do you divide them in the spring to continually keep enlarging the length of your bed? the greens are so vibrant..looks as though they are shaded and of course they like shade right? how about soil, do they like good soil or could I get away with just planting them along a fence where the soil is so so, almost think there is clay in it..Church bazaar is coming up in a few weeks, they always have mega hosta's for sale..this year they will be a 'must'...
Vicki, does the weather bring on these headaches or something you are eating..foul thing to have, so dehabilitating..maybe you are trying to do too much...do you have to work later today..hope no large shipment coming in..
Rachel wanted you to know we're missing you..hope all it well...did Pete and Cindy finally get in their home or are you all still working on projects with them..how grateful they must be...and Scrappy, must be almost full grown..is he as mischievious as Jeannine's Murphy..hope he's not destroying your flower beds..
Laura, you almost sound your old self..how wonderful...glad the tops fit, as for one being shorter guess it's a different style..your getting out with people and trying new things surely is a big help in ridding you of depresson..now you've many things to get excited about, your birthday, Mother's Day..and look at the pressies you'll get...Am excited about yet one more series of "secret pal' gifts
Liz, will your FIL have the piece cut out this weekend, is he leaving the soldering to you..now come on girl, I've been waiting anxiously to see if you did finish the flower pot lighthouse...
Lordy, must have had strong winds last night, 2 table/chair sets were overturned, a wooden planter and a few pieces on my back deck..so got them organized before leaving for work..
I drove the girls in this morning, one of them was having new tires put on their car, Suzanne had to leave extra early so I pitched in..different route so that was enjoyable...
Okay, first I have to say that Betty, you are veeeerrrrry sneaky. When I received your gift I remembered that someone else posted about receiving something for their "not so secret pal" so I had no clue that my package from my "not so secret pal" was actually my package from my secret pal. It reminds me of when my sister and I knit matching sweaters for my brother and his wife (now ex) when they got married. I was hurrying to get mine done on time so I knit whether they were around or not. I figured that they would probably just think that it was for myself and it worked.
I realized last night that I forgot to post about whether I wanted to participate this time around. The answer is YES! I'm really enjoying the exchange.
Carol, I love your hostas. A couple years ago I brought up some divisions of my mom's hostas and I can't wait for them to fill out more. I love how there's such a variety in the leaves and the flowers are just a bonus. I told Keith that my plan some day is to make a huge hosta bed between our front door and driveway. In it, I'll put a sign that people will be able to read as they're leaving the house. It will say, "Hosta la Vista, Baby!" I think that would be hilarious.
Ladies, we have another sweet lady who would like to join our thread. Her DG name is Dragonfly62, and her in person name is Bev. She needs us and we definitely need her. She is a wonderful photographer and will entertain us with her photos.
Bev also wants to join us in our Secret Pal fun, so we'll add another name to our list.
Bev, you are so welcome here, and we love new people. Don't be surprised if we drive you nutz asking all kinds of questions.
Give me time to get some info from Bev for our SP game, and then I will get your new names to you, hopefully before tonight.
Shar
Good Afternoon!
First...Welcome Bev to a beautiful section of Daves Garden. The gate here is always open, LOL almost anytime. We've always got someone up and on.
I look forward to seeing your photography, share some stories and get to know you. You will enjoy the Secret Pal swap. it is so much fun to see what everyone has received, and Personally I have come to enjoy shopping for my sp.
LOL Don't be shy jump right in.
I loved your article Shar. and I am glad you will be able to participate in the SP swap too!! I sure hope your back is better today. So will you get o get outside soon.
Oh, Baby Rose seams have survived the last frost. Leaves look good
Carol, Your hosta's are doing beautiful. You know, I am glad you keep a list too. I have a blueprint of my gardens and what is where. LOL one day I will walk around and update it. Now do you update your list right when you purchase your plants?
Anyway, yikes on the wind, hope it dies down again so playing the secrt garden some more.
Betty, here is a little trick that i have come to use for remembering. Save the tags! LOL, that is how I recognize the plant when it come back each year. Often i don't remember the Cultivation name, other than it an Bearded iris, Alaskin Daisy...Some i get from friends and add to the ground so I tend to study what it looks like. it works for my short memory on names. I literally then watch it grow, LOL the reason is so I don't think it's a weed! anything i plant and don't mark down gets marked with a circle of stones.
Yep,Wonder so good to see you finally got your parcel, Will be nice to wear new clothes from a friend. You enjoy.
OMG Dawn! Bowing thanks for your story to Liz.
Ves, bummed to hear you got another migrane. Geesh hope it subsides quickly.
Well I enjoyed hearing who everyone had for SP, Also seeing what you all got.
Gita, Didn't you know you confessions are suppose to be Secrets. hahahah.
I am glad you enjoyed my gifts.
I am thrilled you like our gift of hug Shar. Breenie had a glorious smile when I told her you posted pictures.
Well i have got to get back to my research here!
have a great day.
See you later.
Bev, you have to be a special person to take on we gals..we're always busyand up to something, lots of chat, we'd do anything for anyone..I'm thrilled to welcome you..no better bunch of girls will be found anywhere..we not just cyber friends we're 'FAMILY' so welcome to your new home..
Get yourself a chair, rest easy with us..and pipe up, don't let us intimidate you..if we do no intend made, just press those keyboard keys and say "I'M HERE!"...
Judy surely you must have a book design journal as you all sit on the computer and list name after name...boy you all are organized, while I'm off expending energy you are all learning about the plant itself..gives new meaning Judy to 'watching the world go round' you dear friend are watching the plants grow....how funny..
Had a late lunch just got back..OMG went shopping, they had the cutest garden things so bought for a few swaps, am sure they'll love them...
I'm in a red/white and blue swap, doesn't have to be flowers and I've come up with a marvellous idea..will start working on it...am excited about that swap...while shopping I certainly could have bought more things for me/me/me but am saving my $$$ for that riding lawnmower..want to be a lady of leisure..NOT..okay, I want my garden to look like Carol's so that must mean I have to have the equipment to do it..
Shar forgot to look at the sidebar, finishing my post and off I go to read it..
Gilli you are so funny, saw the blanket wrap around and as you are both northern girls thought it might warm you up..and the reason I said 'not so secret' was because of the post office stamp..lol..your other gift went out at least I hope it did, had someone mail it for me as it's difficult getting to the post office with my hours..so I'll check back with you next week...after my mailings tomorrow aft. I'll be all caught up with all my 'swaps' and waiting for new names on several other threads..one in particular I'll really enjoy..must be something from 'trash to treasure' something you picked up at a flea market/garage sale and convert into a treasure..won't it be fun...
Well, have a few things to do, busy day here today, not sure how that happened, so if I get a change I'll be back...
Bev, you there???? lol
Here I go again, having to read two days worth of posts. By the time that I get to the end of the thread, I have forgotten what all I wanted to comment. One thing for sure that thrills me is hearing that Laura is doing so well. That medication works so well for most people. I wouldn't want to give mine up, that is for sure.
Carol, your hostas are beautiful. We have a lot of hostas too. I remember when I met my husbands mom and dad for the first time, they walked with me through their home gardens. They were both Master Gardeners and had a lovely place. That was my first introduction to hostas. Some of theirs were two and three feet wide. They were absolutely beautiful. I have three or four that are growing to that size now. We will probably thin them out this fall.
I finally got to see Miss Emily yesterday. That little girl grins all of the time. John and Tucker visited with me this time and it seems that Emily is enthralled with Tucker. She kept her eyes on him most of the time we were there and when we were leaving she just stared in to his eyes and had a grin that wouldn't quit. It was quite funny. She is right at the edge of walking alone. She held on to my fingers and took me walking all throughout her house. She was eating scrambled egg when we first got there and she wanted to feed me bites of it. They are supposed to come here and visit on Saturday. She hasn't been to this house for several months, not since she is walking around things anyway, so it will be interesting to see what knick-knack or gadget she goes for first.
Well, good to hear from everyone. Vicky, how old is your daughter? She must not have been walking too long herself, it seems. I bet the boots are really cute. I find it interesting to see the camoflauge pattern in different colors. All of my life until now the only colors you saw were first off green, then when our armed services began serving in the desert areas it became the light tan color and now you find it in all colors of the rainbow.
Again, I enjoyed reading what everyone had to say. Hello to Liz and Dawn, Judy, Betty and anyone else, oh yeah, Sharon and Bev, smooches to each and every one of you. Have a good evening all.
Ruby
Seed----------
Well? April is over--so ALL confessions are fair game. NO?
Loved all your gifts......Did you read my LONG D-mail i sent you in response to yours????
OK! Our 2 VERY cool days and nights are past--I hope. Yesterday, I worked until 10PM--as usual. I had uncovered all my plants for the day, but then when i got home in the dark, I had to cover them all again (lows --40*) and grope around and throw the big pots on top of all my planted Tomatoes.
This morning (I am off today) I uncovered them all and gonna leave them this way. We are supposed to get a lot of rain in the next 4 days. Even T-Showers! Many of the things that just don't like being constantly wet--I have put under my patio roof. All my Basils are planted in 4' long wood window boxes that I keep on my wide ledge at the basement entry door--exposed to the elements. I covered the boxes with plastic today. They DON'T need more water saturation!
My Caladiums are all up--in various stages....My BEAUTIFUL Cammelia is, once again, in full bloom of double red flowers! Such a treat every Spring! Takes my breath away!
Tried to continue pruning all my tall shrubs today--teetering on the top step of my 5' folding ladder. Still could not reach the very top branches to be cut back on my 2 Canadian Hemlocks. I tell you--these things will grow to 40' if you never prune them---so I have to every year! Their new growth is so beautiful! Light green, wispy and pendulous!
I have tried to keep them at a height where I can reach to, at least, put my X-Mas lights on them.
I hand-prune everything with pruning shears. That way--it never looks "clipped". Always still many wispy ends of all the branches left to make it look "natural"....After all that hand-pruning-----you don't want to mess with me in a "Grip Contest"! LOL!
This reminds me--when I was young and "stupid"--and SO fit that it was disgusting!
You ready for this???? I used to challenge people to hit me in the stomach with their fist! As hard as they could--even Guys! GOD! How narcissistic is that? My abs were like brick! All that Volleyball playing and practices! Doing sit-ups; Practices twice a week--Tournaments every other weekend--(in season).....Fitness was my "Mantra".....I remember freaking out that my hips were over 38" in circumference---and getting down and dirty doing all kinds of hip exercises! Taking aerobics at the "Y". Walking a few miles around the High School track I live next to, etc....
Then--I remember going to to Ocean City--( Beach resort in MD) and on the boardwalk there were all kinds of "machines" to test you for this and that. This is a L-O-N-G time ago.....maybe in the late 50's--early 60's? One of the machines was to test the strength of your grip.
Haaa--Haaa----I always scored in the "AMAZON" category!!!!! That "ball" just shot up to the top! My Husband was just as fit---naturally! A real Greek God!!!! What a Bod he had!!!
OOOPS! Gotta get off all this reminiscing......We are in a different time and space now.....I STILL try to stay fit--with given "adjustments" due to my age.....My tummy HAS TO be almost "flat".....Of course--many other geographical areas of my body have assumes a bit of "insulation"....LOL!
HOW did I get on this topic?????? Getting OFF--right now! Anyone have a step-stool handy??
Gita
OK! Don't laugh!!!!! This is ME in my late teens/early 20's! Maybe--in like--late 50's?
I thought I was just the "Cat's Meow"......ALL these poses! Give me a break!!!!!!!!!
Gita girl, your sense of humour is sharp today..you have me in stitches..Greek God with a bod...yours doesn't look too bad either...isn't it great remembering those days..sounds as though you worked harder at home today than you would have at work..that's normally my case!
Sky is heavy, looks as though it might rain before i leave today..yuk..they haven't changed the weather forcast, calling for rain for the next few days..know it will be good for the gardens but, oh well, I've a few projects to finish so this weekend just might be the weekend to get them done..
Well, Here I am! My name is Beverly but you all can call me Bev. I t was very nice to get the welcomes that I got before I even got here. I hope to get to know you all as well as you know each other. Please have patience with me if I for get who I am talking to. I usually have so much going, I even forget who I am!!!
You all know that you have a wonderful friend in Sharon, I haven't known her that long but, some people you do not have to know very long to know that they are a God send. I probably will be slow at first and then one of these days you will want to shut me up.
I will try to post a little each day,but am so busy running all the time trying to get things done. I have been reading the posts and can relate to almost all. I will try my best to be a good friend to each and everyone of you nice folks. LOVE & HUGS BEV Thanks for letting me join you!!!!!!!!
Welcome Bev..I saw some of your beautiful paintings in another thread. and I see you enjoy photography.
We look forward to seeing your photos.
Judy that photo of my hostas wa taken last year. They are just peaking up now..some I haven't even seen yet.
Betty..I have divided a few of my hostas..but mostly I just buy a new and different one to expand the beds.
I have 64 now. Be careful..it can get addicting once you start and get to know their names and see the differences. I started to collect them 10 years ago.
Gilli..What a cute idea for a sign..sure would get a grin out of people..Hosta La Vista Baby!
Gita..great pictures..Wow..such a trim lean bod..love the alluring Gypsy pose.
Ruby..so nice that you finally got to see Emily...and hear that Tucker scored some points.
I cut the grass for the first time today..just around the house..not the "Kite Field" or Secret Garden yet..
This is what I call the Kite field..the open space between the main back yard and the entrance to the Secret Garden.
Taken last year.
welcome aboard bev!

Hi Bev and all of you..just what I like Bev, a girl who wants to talk..although I work in an office each and every day I probably only work 1 hr out of the 7.5 so always here looking for someone to talk to and someone to entertain me..lol..which these lovely ladies all try to do..
You will indeed get to know us quickly, we're those kind of gals...lol...
Accident on 400 series coming home so of course it almost 8 and I've just walked in..checking in on you all is always my 1st priority..computer next to craft room, easy access and a comfy seat invites me in...
Haven't been upstairs yet so don't know if one of my 'earthly angels' has brough din/din but just incase I've stopped off next door, felt like pork and bean sandwiches and peaches for dessert...isn't that a meal fit for a queen, but I'll enjoy..
Now for one of my tonight's best...
Along with numerous cards wishing me good health yesterday was 2 cards telling me something was awaiting pick up..so you know me, always in some type of thread so me thinks, oooohh it's either a garden item or a 'secret pal swap item' won't it be fun to come home to them..June picked them up for me and left them on the craft room table...
So I open the box, OMG it's a beautiful windchime, I've never seen another like it anywhere..I'll take a photo to show you, but first the note said, This is not a 'swap' gift, but something to make you feel better..something for my
DG Friendship Garden...overwhelmed again with kindness shown...it says "God Bless our Home" and the chimes are crosses and hearts...spectacular!!!
Ruby on one of the threads today said ' there just wasn't words to express herself' same here..Now I know I encountere Heavenscape (Jaye) on a few threads in passing but to send me a gift just out of kindness has touched my heart...
Providing it doesn't rain, I'll start the 2nd phase of my project this weekend and this windchime will have a place of honor....
Laura, you've brought great warmth to my heart today..you sound absolutely wonderful...I'm proud of you...remember all that's good in this world, your world and know we love you! ooops someone is at the door...
I'm back, so funny Kathy who has been bringing me supper dropped in, said she'd been here this afternoon, took the dog outside, brushed her and almost has another dog in a bag..lol so she stayed pretty much the hour..now I am ready for bed...
Must tell you something funny, last summer remember I got the birdcage and purchased one of the motion birds that look very realistic and sounds realistic..well we are sitting, I'm listening, she's gabbing and the chirping going on at the back deck is driving me crazy so I excuse myself, tell her I'll turn the switch off, wind is up and each time the cage moves the birdie chirps, so go outside to put the birdie to sleep for the night only to realize there are several birds just a gabbing to each other..no off switch on those...
Ruby, each time you see Emily now bet there are mega changes in her..they grow up so quickly..funny how she took to Tucker..must have made him proud or is he a typical male teen, tried not to let his pride show...
Carol, gardens are beautiful, you've so much room..lordy girl, I can't get addicted to anything else...better leave the hostas where they are at present and not increase their numbers..you all have me getting roses and lilies!
Bet when I press send there will be at least 3 posts..want to make a bet...lol
Best of today..getting such a lovely gift from Heavenscape..
Worse of today..knowing that some of my friends are 'hurting' - prayers being said for them...
What did I learn..once again, nice things happen if you leave your back door open...lol
Liz, I'm on the same thread..I've mega ideas for both exchanges..thought I might get something started tonight that needs prep. but nope, haven't even had time yet for that pork and bean sandwhich..so off I go...lol...want to exchange ideas...?
Betty, Glad to meet you and yes we will talk!! I love those windchhimes. I have a lot. Have you ever seen those that are great big pipes. They are something else and the music is so deep toned it just sends shivers down my spine. My husband hates them but now that both hearing aids have quit I can let them ring for a while till we can get him one again. His are $2000.00 each and we have to pay half so will be a while. As my garden improves will hang some in the trees and drive the nieghbors nuts!! Hugs BEV
dragonfly----
Did you know that those big-piped wind chimes are actually "tuned" so that the sound each of the pipes makes are all in the same chord????? Like--a "C" cord or a "G" cord, etc.....That is why they sound so great!
YES! Betty----it is just another thing I KNOW!!!!!
I once gave one of these chimes, with mega pipes to someone who got married as a wedding gift. I mean--this chime was huge! Bought it at a craft show and-- back then--I paid $80 for it.
Tired tonight......spent half the day hand-pruning a couple more large shrubs. The it started drizzling--so i stopped. Then--nothing came of it--so I went outside and continued....
Tired...tired.....THEN--since NO rain actually came--I went out and mowed my lawn.
I haven't told you this yet--but I have a woman I work with who moved in here over the last 3 days. Tonight is the first night she will be sleeping here. So--she becomes my house-sharer #5. As usual--I was NOT seeking her out--but she was in dire need to have a place to live--and I offered my lovely downstairs.
It is along story.....she just has had enough of her husband running around on her and abusing her and just last week--being put in jail for driving without his license for the umpteenth time. This time--she did not bail him out! Good for her!
I am glad to have someone I know living here. We work side-by-side at HD. in the Phone Center. She is the current Millwork Expediter.
OK! Hitting the sack...it has been a long day!
Gita
(Waving)...Hi Y'all!! Evening Sharran, I see ya Lizrainey...hey Cat, paypaled ya! If I don't call out your names, I'm pretty sure I'll get to know you soon!
Love the ambience here, thanks Betty for leading me here.
So glad you like the windchime. I wish I'm as talented as you Betty..I'd make one instead of buying one.
Someone suggested on another thread to make windchimes out of my handleless old shovel heads...think I'll stick to store bought ones! Those shovels might end up as dangerous projectiles!!
You are very well loved Betty. Your warmth and compassion shows through all your postings. Each time I read your postings, I wish more folks are like you.
Bev, the neighbourhood needs beautiful sounds other than screeching brakes and barking dogs!!
Err, Betty and Liz....you will not be each other's swap buddy..so feel free to swap ideas!! Lol!!
Jaye aka HeavenScape
Hi Bev WELCOME OVER HERE AMIGA. NO DRAMA HERE SISTER. LOVE THAT YOU JUMPED OVER HERE.
Dawn

Hi,
Well I have enjoyed reading today..Busy busy and i think my Brain is fried!
I am working on one of the most annoying projects, being that I don't give up to easily, was able to research the web, and that was equally annoying, Haha. But the project is now finished...so guess whos Friday is going to be somewhat free! Woohoo, love fridays like that.
Oh my gosh Liz, I got a glimpse of what you got in that exchange, How adorable is that little duck!! ROFL, you are addicted! Yep a good thing to be addicted too though...Sending gifts are fun.
Will be interesting to see what you and Betty comes up with for RWB swap.
Betty, What a wonderful surprise you received...Your new windchime is gorgeous.
Gita, Yep finally replied to d-mail. My what a bod! Yep inviting people to punch ya in the stomach is kinda stupid(LOL if I do say so myself)
Wink. You be careful Teatering on latters! Geesh, don't you have a youngin in your neighborhood....Nevermind.
Certainly you have busy hope all the plants make it through the next rains and cold.
Carol, Always great to see your gardens weather they are from last season or this...Gives me something to anicipate. So lovely.
Ves, got your headach type mixed up, Still sorry to hear you had one of any kind. So hope you are feeling better.
Love your photo's Bev. Where is Nilwood IL?...I am Judy, I live in Glenview IL, just north of Chicago. (and oh so blabby)
Are you new to Daves?
Oh Betty, by the way...my blue print is hand drawn to scale. My list needs to be updated Bigtime! but I think the last I did I had some 45 different plants, and now I need to draw one up for the back yard since it is much, much different then my first ideas. Never ending, but isn't it sweet. Yep, got to watch and coaks all my babies to to smile. You will think I am totally bonkers because I do with a certain "weed" too...Hmmm Bet Shar could tell me what kind of Dandelion it is. Will take a picture for you when they blom this year.
Aww Gramma Ruby, So sweet. I just love hearing of your visit with Emily. You know, I hope you took some pictures. Can't wait to see how she has grown.
Can't remember now everything I have read...But I want to share my best today:
My Julia has had her final IEP meeting. She attends both High School and off campus. Todays meeting was the off Campus.
I was overwhelmed with Tears of PURE Pride at all she has accomplished in the last 4 years. And of course my gratitude to answered prayers hit me whil;e driving. Almost had to pull over and get my grip from the sudden onset of sobbing. She is to graduate with high marks and with more credits then she needed. Nice head start...But that was just the beginning. When it came to signing the papers, She signed them because she is 18!! I am was so incredibly proud, We all were that her first steps to adulthood. OMG I am so overwhelmed with Thanks to answered prayers...I am telling you Keep the Faith, always.
Dinner is ready..See you later.
Hey Jaye & Dawn thanks for letting me be a part of your family. Try to talk more tomorrow if it is'nt storming. Nite all. BEV
