Liz..your stories are always fun to read....
the antics you get up to cute..
Hi Sharon..gald to hear youa dn the kitties kept each other safe through the storms. Good thing about panises..they will perk up and grow more blooms.
Sorry to hear about your friend passing on.
I know you love daylilies..
This one is 'Souvenir of Love' from Hayfield Daylilies in my garden last year. Breeder Lycett/Lorrain.
Going to listen to a local garden show on the radio now..
Cheers,
Carol
Best/Worse/What did I learn today? Pt.41 Visit with Friends
Thanks, Carol.
Beautiful daylily! I will have to get that one. Almost time for mine to start blooming.
LOL, Liz.
Morning all!
S.O.P- Standard Operating Procedures. I was writing procedural manuals, besides looking for more efficient methods, on all operations of a garment industry. You can't believe how back to basic or Keep It So Simple (GRIN) it had to be so that the 'foreign' operators with their basic understanding of English will be able to follow the manuals! No...I'm not responsible for those written from China!
Had been doing that for 15 years, and I can't imagine I'm allowed to speak grown-up now! Not easy for me to process my thoughts into adult language! Thank God for this format, it allows me to take my time ^_^
Carol and Bev, guess you both can't have enough hostas? I love them too, and my favorite are the Red Octobers, with their red stems. No slug problems here, just not enough shady areas for all the hostas I want.
Carol, I'd love to drag DH to make a journey to Betty's Happy Hollow. We both love iron sculptures, and the hostas will be an added bonus! Do you have pics of the pieces?
Liz, I can't feed Shar's desire of having herself as her secret pal!! BTW Liz, those lemons you threw...made me think of chutneys...anyone has a recipe for lemon chutneys?
So, Wonder Down Under, are you starting a Grandma's Flower Garden quilt? Would love to see pictures. You are brave, I just quilt straight lines at not so precise 1/4 inch seams!!
Hellnzn, have to look up on 'xeriscape'. I have an area that nothing grows...always in full sun..you think that might qualify. Hmm.. maybe that's where we could put up wooden signs or as the last ground for retired garden tools!
Please Betty, having free time also means an opportunity to rest. Do so will ya?
Blessings galore everyone, till later.
~Jaye
I love the way that you ended your post Jaye.....Blessings Galore. I love it.
Thanks to those who commented on me not doing so well yesterday. I feel better today. I got up in the wee hours of the morning and then laid back down and slept a few more hours today. I am looking at a semi-messy house and know that there are plants outside that need to go in the ground, but haven't decided yet what I will get in to. I must have had more than a headache yesterday. I went outside in the afternoon and couldn't wait to get back inside and turn the air conditioner on. The heat really took a toll on me. It was heat like I haven't felt in a long, long time. Heat and I don't mix well.
For any gardening that I am going to want to do, I am going to have to get an earlier start than this so that I can avoid the horrible heat. I literally get sick to the stomach and feel as though I am getting ready to faint.
Yippie for the Secret Pal Exchange again. So glad that Shar gets to be included this time instead of just having to do the work and then get no pay. You have a gigantic heart Shar and we love you for it.
All you others sounds like with the warming weather you are out and about and enjoying your yardens. It is great to have new people joining us and hearing about their gardening interests too.
Awww.....Betty, I am hoping that the little talk of a New York City meeting will come to fruition. I would love to meet some of you folks there for a long weekend, or longer. John reminded me yesterday when the heat just about did me in, that in two weekends we will be doing a tour of Longwood Gardens in Pennsylvania, and it might be that kind of weather that day too. I tell you, I will have to find the first air conditioned building and take a seat and meet the group later if that is the case. Oh well, a person has to do, what a person has to do.
Here is hoping that everyone will have a good day whatever the weather brings your way.
Ruby
Good Morning.
OH Liz, hahah, sorry to put ya through that...couldn't resist. LOL, I knew them lemmons were for me, laughed some more.
So I just know all dying to know what that is all about.
Yesterday on my home I txted Liz asking if I told I was gonna be a grandma?
The question sort of came as a shock and I think some disbeleif, her reply was WHAT?
Oh my have the odd sense of humor that I have, txted back Yep, I m gonna be a grandma.
She said but you didn't tell me who, so I txted her back it's Sabrina!
So in mean time i had made it home and told Breenie what was going on, she laughed and giggled and wanted me to keep
this "joke" going. Meanwhile Liz & I continued to txt about things Being breenie is only 14 and how DH is PO'd. Finally I told Liz I would call her and explain so I did...Of course the first question is what about the boy, So my reply as straight voiced as i could said he was "Chicken" and ran away! Well, then i just couldn't contain myself and broke down to tell her the story of our Egghead.
Yes, I became the Proud grandma of an Egg!! LOL, Sabrina is the mom for Child Development class. They are to create a baby of Flour and care for it for 2 or 3 weeks. The egg is to be placed in the head. In the class the egg is checked for any breakage. It, come with complete Birth Certificate and all.
So while Liz and DH were defying the law with Pennies on train tracks We we were at walmat buying baby clothes for a Flour Sack,..ROFL, We take all projects to the hilt!
LOL I'll be back in a bit to make my post to all of you.
Breenie made her son Last night and is now giving him a face.
So for without further adoo introducing my second Grandegg, name hasn't been decided..
P.S. LIz, You forgot to congratulate me!~! hahahaha.

after i throw tomatoes at you lol congrads....
Went to our camp asso meeting and froze our bsss off. It is 51 out and windy Brrr. No garden work again today!!! The wind is blowing all the pretty blossoms off the trees. Well have to fix hubby his vegetarian dinner so will post again later.
Ruby, I am the same way you are about the heat and humidity. I can't take it anymore. I get too much and my blood pressure shoots up. Have to work outside early morning or late evening and the mosquitos love me.
Judy I can't wqait to hear you name you come up with. Hugs all BEV
Just got back, got everything I wanted and MUCH/MUCH more..lol...even got all my 'swaps' mailed out except for this one..now I'm in busy mode as it will have to be something homemade...It was hard for Eric this morning to have a few of us in, going through Carols' things..the house went up for sale today, he's moving to Hamilton - about 2 hrs. from here, buying a house and one daughter and family will be living on upper floor while he will have the bottom apt. and free to come and go as he pleases...
We talked and laughed about Carol, she was 58 when she died last year..so young..I was teaching her an genesis piece which was a clock with fruit..it was probably 3/4 finished when she fell ill, so I'll finish it for her and will hand it in my kitchen..
Judy/Liz, you both should be in a comedy routine, I'll tell you what one doesn't think of the other does...I am just so laughing..we can only thank the Lord that you both don't live within visiting distance because goodness knows what the world would have to endure....grade 7/8 students here as well did a similar project but they used those little talking things on a chain, they cried if not fed, etc. etc. the entire process was enjoyable for not only the kids but the parents as well..
Ruby, glad you are feeling better..perhaps you caught a virus of some sort..as for Niagara Falls N.Y. I can't wait..it's only 2 1/2 hr. drive from here and only 1 hr. if I leave from work so I'll have to get exact dates and book a room...Carol, you could always meet me and join in...
Bev, is it a summer trailer camp or is it a permanent mobile camp? wow 51, here I'd think it was warm at 51 lol...can't believe the beauty of your tree....
Going to sign off for 15 minutes, will comment on all your posts, just don't want to burn lunch..you know how easy that would be for me..lol..be back in a wink...
Betty, It is a summer trailer camp ground. It opens the 1 of Apr. and closes the 30 of Nov. We bought into it about 3 yr ago and just go out there for pease and quiet as if our town of 350 isn't quiet most of the time. It is just 4 mile from town so can jaunt back and forth. I feed the birds out there in the summer and the birds in town in the winter. Hugs BEV
Oh Bev - I have always thought that having a camper/travel trailer would be lots of fun. Wouldn't be doing much traveling at the moment with the price of gas though. I hear on the getting away from it all. We are in the country and not usually bothered with neighbors or noise, but sometimes just being away from home is relaxing in itself.
Judy, you and Liz are nuts!!! You would certainly win the clown award for this room. Shopping for clothes for the flour bag is outrageous, only you would think of that. ha-ha
Well, I have now worked myself in to shower time. After shower time, it is resting on the couch time. I straightened in the house and washed a load of clothes, ran the dish washer and vacuumed. Didn't tackle anything outside today because of the reaction that I had yesterday, a bit afraid to chance it.
I turned the air conditioner on a couple of hours ago. l am so grateful for it. The temperature inside was 78 degrees earlier. That is way too hot for me to do much of anything.
Well, nothing much to report but will check back later on today or tomorrow morning. I hope that everyone is enjoying their weekend.
Ruby
Jaye, the very first thing I normally do with instructions is throw them in the garbage...lol..seems a little too confusing for me so I'd rather sit and muffle through it..sounds as though it is an interesting job..do you first get the items, and try to assemble while taking notes or do they give you details on how to put them together???
Bev, we had a 5th wheel and did a lot of travelling south..mostly spend 3 months in Fort Myers..absolutely loved travelling in it..last trip I took was down east..it's a great way to travel...
It's awfully cold here today, high winds and rain and yet first thing this morning it looked as though it would be a sunshine day...so no outside for me...
Seems I have no energy inside as well, so very very tired today, I'm back into my jammies, should be attempting to do something but, back to the couch I go..very unusual for me, I've usually got at least 5 projects done by now..
Jeannine, I was invited out tomorrow for a quilt & rug show but as I've not accomplished anything this weekend I doubt I'll go..
Carol, I'd love to go visit your 'Betty' might even come home with a few hostas...
Shar, hope the weather has improved and you are getting to spend some time outside with your flowers...
After looking at those stunning photo's of trees/flowers and I go look outside, mine are just peeping out of the ground..how sad..Darlene this morning told me that the trees (3) I wanted for in front were on sale last week for $24.99 (6' ones) wouldn't you know..Greg and Mel are out for the day so I'll have to wait till Greg can take me with his truck to pick them up, holes dug, just waiting for the beauties...
Glancing behind me at one of the tables in the craft room, OMG I so need to clean that room..Eric was so pleased to get rid of some of it, but it's now in my craft room...lol
Probably about 400 bottles of paint, 60 books, wood projects (as though I didn't have 3 shelves full in the back room) 3 bins of patters and books..so, should get at it..
Now I did get something that I can do for a baby shower for Suzanne's daughter Danielle - my niece..she's having a baby in August so shower will probably be next month or so..must get at it...tell me what you think
This is the pattern I think I'll paint on it..I have to cut out the back design and the bottom leg/skirt part but that only takes an hour or so..
Wouldn't it be pretty? Now here is my dilema...both these bunnies are dressed for tea and are (female) it's a lot of work to do only to find out it's a male....but you know me, wanted a girl so bad that I still think I might take a chance...lol
Ruby, sounds as though you've put in a full day outside, no wonder you are tired...guess it's you and me - on the couch enjoying the evening..
Bev..beautiful trailer, forgot to ask, is the summer park on a river or lake?
Carol, did you get the same weather as I had all day..Joseph's coat - trailing rose? Had wanted to get into town this afternoon to see what the nurseries have, think I'll just watch all of you, jot down what I'm looking for and making a trip next weekend...
Well off I go, damp down here and I'm not about to turn on the downstairs fireplace when I'm laying upstairs...
I hope you start feeling better, and whatever you decide about the table and chairs, they will be wonderful coming from you.
will check in again later.
Hugs,
shar
Betty, We bought 5 lots with 99 year lease. We have a small lake and three ponds and a long bog is across the road from us. It is a private assosiation campground. Your decor painting is wonderful. I do paintings on canvas but never had the patiants for decor painting.
Sharon, your iris are beautiful. Mine are not blooming yet but will have some pics later. LOVE ALL BEV
Bev...that looks like flowering quince, does it grow there?? (common name is Japonica, I think.)
I just wrote an article on it, I loved it so much, but it has sort of thorny stems, at least I think I remember that part.
morning all.. busy bees!!!
My sewing machine betty if working ok now so no problems... but the quilting i am sewing by hand!!! lol OMG!! i suppose its a challenge but its all good. thankyou for your thoughtfullness betty, you really make my day.... your a swearheart/
was it jay that mentioned the pattern... yes i believe it is called grandmas garden.... how appropriate!! yes it is a bit tricky but im under my DD tuition so that helps.
had all the family over last nght and some friends for ribs.. texas ribs my DH makes! always popular so got to spend time with ALL my children (all four) and my GD and GS which was lovely.
going to do some more quilting today. it takes me about an hour to do one flower but thats ok. its all in greens and autum tones. when i have enough to out some together, i will show you.
welloff i go.....
hello and hugs to all....
xx
Laura, I will just freak if you tell me it was your birthday and I forgot...the other day I meant to go on the sidebar to check when it was, then, got busy and forgot...please/please say it's coming...as soon as I post I'm going to look...
Shar thanks for the photo's, you all have such a long period of time for your gardens, you have right now what we would have let's say in late July, early August...wow, here is a photo I took to show you how far behind we are..
Bev how wonderful for you..I lived on a farm, just shy of 100 acres and we had a pond large enough for us to have paddle boats and I had a little trailer there as well, it was probably almost back to the last concession, built in road for the golf carts..loved it, took me five minutes to get there..we called it "Camp David"..one of the things I miss, also lived most of my married life on the Trent Waterway..water not more than 30' from the house...ah well, those were the days, they are no longer so I just dug myself a little pond so I could at least hear water..looks pretty when all the flowers are in bloom, right now they are only inches tall..lol
Talked to my mom for a bit, she's getting over pneumonia, but of course she had to go to Rama last night (it's about 10 minutes from their cottage) she ended up clearing $1,200. she is so lucky...
Today marks the 5th anniversary of my father's dead..do miss him, have remembered good times and I remember the last night of his life I spent the night in the hospital with him, was difficult because we all had to take turns because it was when SARS banned everyone from hospitals, the nurse asked me who we wanted done if he had cardiac arrest, now here I'm starting to ramble again, guess it helps..I know his 2nd wife Flo and he signed papers for no life support so I called her as she had just left the hospital for the night and she didn't want to talk about it right then, so the nurse said a decision needed to be made, well after all the problems I had with Roger's family after his death because of the decision I made I decided to call my sibblings, most of them wanted to wait till they could be let in, tomorrow would be soon enough so I had to tell my sister Sharon, that tomorrow may never come..so it was left to me, that they would stand by me if I decided to sign...
So I told the nurse this and she said that my dad had all of his faculties and perhaps I should have the conversation with him...HELLO!! not a good thing to have to go into a room and tell someone they may not make it through the night when they think they will only be there a few days....so I calmly went and sat by his bed, must have spent an hour or so mentally trying to think how I could do this when my dad gave me the perfect opportunity..he said 'Sharon (we always laughed, he called me Sharon and Sharon Betty) so we'd each say, no dad I'm Betty, I'm the good looking one and he'd laugh...anyway he said: 'little girl' you go home, you've been here all day and you must be tired" so I said 'no dad, I'm spending the night, and I've spent many hours sitting in the hospital when Roger was dying' and he nodded, and so I continued "it was hard, but the hardest day dad was when I had to tell them if he died not to try and bring him back, that was truly the most difficult decision I had to make, and here he just looked at my, showing sorrow for the tears, so I said 'dad, what would happen if your heart stopped' silly me, termed it wrong, and he was always a joker, he said 'guess I'd die!' plain and simple, guess I'd die...so I laughed along with him and said, 'no dad, would you want to be revived?' and he shook his head no, said 'if it was only my breathing problems, I'd say yes but I've been sick for so long, no, I wouldn't want them to revive me' so I sat for another long period of time..I had my answer and didn't really have to ask the question outright..as he dozed off I went and signed the papers, came back into the room...OMG/OMG here comes a nurse, with a tray, with the brightest almost hot pink kind of band, takes my father's hand and cuts the old while one off, now my dad is looking at her and then at me and she says ' guess you had a little talk with your daughter' omg, he says 'yes' because he had no idea what kind of talk she was referring to, so he watches her, and he's starts to ask 'what is it your doing?" and at this very same time, he starts to choke and to have difficulties talking she she tells him to lie down, and he forgets about the band...several hours later, I am without a father...
No matter what age you are, here I was 55, had lost my DH at 47, my grandmother who raised me the year before at 99 and the years have marked me with age, you still remember as though it was yesterday..
Well I think it's time to head back to the couch, have had something to eat (nutricious of course), get that fuzzy wuzzy blanket out and call it a day...
Nice visiting with you all....
Laura, sigh of relief..when you posted back a few days ago and said you had a birthday coming up I thought it might be this week..your info says JULY 17th..is that correct? Means I still have time to make that cake...
I love all those pictures. It is so funny to see the different types of plants that grow in different parts of the country. Like Betty can't grow a rose and that is the only thing that a lot of people do grow here because the conditions are so poor.
I'm back, not as easy as I thought to just lay down, telephone calls, SIL & BIL just came in for visit, uncomfortable so I may as well roam...lol
Yes Dawn, all your colors are spectacular and to see them flowered, I'm envious..want me gardens to show me their beauty soon..
Just went out and took a few photo's, we're at the 'baby' stage right now...no laughing...
Betty, your garden is lovely already. I covet your pots, that's a pretty nifty looking arrangement. Was it hard to put together? I think I'd like to copy that set up.
I got my final hours for my grown up Master Gardener certification today. Just have to turn in the paperwork. I worked the plant clinic at the local farmer's market and had a great time. I think that's one thing I'd like to do more of, very interesting and I love talking to people about gardening. We had a lot of young people asking questions about veggie and flower gardening organically! I was thrilled. One of the other MGs is also an organic gardener so we had a great time giving them information and fliers to help them get started. I had my first "what's wrong with my tree" today. The poor lady has borers in her peach trees. Don't know if she's going to be able to save them, but she's going to try some light dormant oil to see if she can smother them out. I've lost all my peach trees to borers, for some reason there are certain varieties that seem to be more susceptible to them and those were the one's I picked. My extension agent recommended several varieties that are more resistant to the nasty little critters, so I passed that info along. I felt bad for her, these are young trees so she has a chance to save them, but she's going to have to pay close attention to them.
One of my MG classmates and I did volunteer work at the Mary Washington House in downtown Fredericksburg on Thursday. That was a wonderful experience met some other really great MGs there and one lady who just comes to help because she likes the flowers. The MGs have restored most of the garden back to it's original state. It was boxwoods from hell, I'm allergic to them, so we worked on the front of the house. It's a pretty nifty set up though. I'll try and get some pictures. The inside is restore and absolutely gorgeous. I had never been inside before, it was a WOW moment for me. I'll have to avoid that gift shop. The porcelain tea sets were to die for and I got enough! LOL I use to collect them. One DIL loves them and the other isn't interested, so I'm going to get them cleaned up and give them to her for a Christmas "bonus". :) I do have my great grandmother's Haviland child"s tea set, which is intact and will go to my DGD one day along with one set of silver and my crystal. I know they don't do much with that kind of stuff these days but they are special and I've done a little "history" to go with each one.
Well, got to get off here and go take somemore allergy meds if I'm going to get any sleep tonight. I'm barking like a seal again, sigh.......
WOW! Gone for a few days and tons of posts to read.
First off - Bev, welcome from your new cyber friends! We're glad you're here! And very lovely photos!!
Betty, the kitty picture arrived today and all I can say is WOW! Diane did an AWESOME job. My neighbor couldn't believe how gorgeous it is! Did she use pencils? The detail is just amazing and I know my mother will sob like a baby when she sees it. THANK YOU BOTH SO MUCH for your generosity!!! I know my mother wil treasure this forever!!
So, I have been very busy that's why I've been absent. Gosh, when did I last post??? So we got our PC back and all is working great with it. I ended up downloading a different anti-virus program and all is going well except we have to reboot to get our email to work. Otherwise, it freezes. Can't figure out what's up with it. I've shut down the firewall and it still won't send/receive without a reboot.
Lets see, DS had a game Wed. night and they lost and on top of that, the other team had poor sportsmanship and were just rude - mocking our guys, etc. I finally went over and said something to the other coach. So it was a long night. Thurs - had to go in for my annual mammo - OUCH! Went to work for a few hours then came home at 2:00 and worked from home the rest of the day. Boss man is back Tuesday so back to my normal schedule. Friday I decided to just work from home till noon, then take the rest of the day off. It was an absolutely gorgeous day. DS had "field day" at school so he wanted me to bring him lunch. Of course then DD wanted lunch too. So at 10:30, I headed to Chick-Fil-A and bought them both lunch; flew to DD's school and dropped her's off then ove to DS's school. I think every parent in the entire school was at field day because finding a parking space was impossible. I should have just parked at our house and walked over (we live around the block from school). Ate lunch w. DS then headed back home to continue cleaning the house. I forgot to mention, my parents were coming up Friday afternoon to watch the kids while DH and I finally got to go to the Van Halen concert. While waiting for them, I worked in the yard and got quite dirty! Drove to Charlottesville (Hi Ruby!) and saw VH. Great concert!!! Didn't get home untila fter 12:30am. Very tired. Murphy got me up early (7:22am - I looked at the clock thru cloudy eyes!). Mom was already up so sat with her and chatted. Went grocery shopping, then hit the garden center with my parents and we were BAAAAAD! Spent too much $$. Got home and promptly headed to DS's game. Parents got to see him pitch which was nice. Got home and started planting all my garden center goodies. Headed to Lowes and bought more goodies (even though I only needed soil for the first goodie batch!). Stayed out till dark and I'm pooped! Both DD and DS went across the street to sleepover with friends so DH and I are kidless tonight! Have to study tomorrow for final test monday night and I think I might just chill too!
Ok, time for bed! Night all and hugs to you all!!
Jeannine
Doc CONGRATULATIONS ON YOU MG!!!! You did us proud. I would have loved to see that house and garden. We have the borer problem with the pines in our forests, that is part of the reason we had so many bad fires here in the last few years, we also can not buy a willow without borers.
Jeannine alright you finally got to go to the concert. How was it? I would have liked to see Wolfy play with his dad.
Betty you don't have snow anymore. Green has emerged under the melted snow, spring is near. I went to Niagara Falls in 1996 in the beginning of June and your lilacs were just starting to bloom, so you are off season from us here in the high desert by a couple of months. When you are in full bloom, I am trying to not lose stuff to perish in the heat and drought. I have to watch any overhead watering and I don't have a lot on my sprinkler system. You have a LOT DONE FOR JUST STARTING THE YARD. Do you still want a B&B at your place?
Morning all, might have slept in but Sailor girl wanted me up..birds are chirping like crazy so I would imagine that today might be a 'sunshine' day and I might even venture out into the gardens..so much work to do..during the winter and early spring I kept picking up pkgs of seeds, must have at least 30/40 of them..now where did I put them? same goes for hollyhock seeds, last fall I stopped at a garden center that had thousands of plants along the roadside and I picked a bag full..where are they? Yesterday morning I did do a walk around though and used up the pepsi box I had full of seed and scattered them on the ground so I'm on a 'find seed' mission this morning...
Jeannine, so glad the picture got to you, worried about the frame getting dinged..yes, we've been painting with pencil lately, less to carry around when working on a project...only time I use them is for animals, otherwise I'm back to oils and acrylics..not nice to make 'Mommy" cry on Mothers Day but she'll be so pleased that you went through the trouble of getting her kitty done...you'll have to let me know the outcome?
Doc..CONGRATULATIONS..bet you are absolutely thrilled..must get a lot of satisfaction working with the young adults, imparting your knowledge in hopes they too might take on the 'organic' challenge...
As for the pots, some put a copper pole in the ground and cement it in, but I take 3 pieces of flat copper (son works in the business and cuts and gives them to me so if you want some I can ship some to you) each piece I bend about 1/2 inch along the length and solder to the bottom of the copper pipe, just like propeller fins, when you set the fins in the pot and fill with soil it keeps the other pots secure... about 18" above those fins I solder a 't' copper fitting...this fitting when you put your 1st pot on will hold it in place..pot is on a slight angle, after that each pot you add rests on the one before it...when it's planted and in bloom it's lovely...if I've not explained it correctly let me know and I'll take visual photo's...
Mary Washington house, how lovely, I often think I am an 'old soul' from that era..love everything old..lucky you to have helped bring back the gardens...
Dawn, I would say this year we are about 1 month behind..usually lilacs are on my table..this year I'll not be as lucky because I had to cut down most of the branches..they are much to old, so have started to plant new shrubs but it takes years of growing so I'll have to be patient...yes, I am still interested in the B&B..remember last year Bernice gave me her beautiful hand painted sign, rather quite large..the boys usually come the Sat. of Mothers day and give me hours of work so although it needs some painting on the main unit I'll see if they can install it, I'll pick up the cement this week just in case they get energetic..lol then the next will be to do a thorough clean up, take photo's of all the rooms and put them on the web..I lack confidence when it comes to thinking my home is nice enough to encourage visitors but eveyone says its very country and that I'd make all welcome...but you know me and my cooking, the breakfast would have to be 'simple' lol..could always have it catered...wouldn't that be funny..so yes, shortly when I get myself back in shape I'll be full steam ahead!
Well, better get my coffee, go work on my 'blue/white and red' project for the swap until I decide if it's warm enough to be out working or if it's another couch day! Heaven forbit..feel lazy this weekend..
morning all,
jeannine, how cool !!!!! finally got to the concert, sounds like you did have fun buying plants... so murphy wanted you to get up and keep him company lol their too much!
my male dog has this alpha thing going on,
when you get up he has to be the first one in line and you have to walk behind him drives us nuts, got told a hundred times yesterday knock it off!

carol, what are you up to? must be busy planting lol
vicki , how are you feeling any better?
uh o dh is up have a wonderful day all
Liz, no Aunt Muriel doesn't go with her, the odd time when there is a concert she does but because mom lives only 10 minutes away she usually drops in on her way to the cottage..should call Aunt Muriel, haven't talked to her since we did the lighthouse..
Good for you, finding the plastic ones, I bought a few boxes of them, forgot to say I'd send you some, but you found them so all's well..easy to break glass Liz, am sure he was frustrated knowing you'd have to pick up more..
It's rather cold, doesn't seem to be clearing so I've my 'jammies' on, walking downstairs like an idiot, trying to find space for all the 'goodies' I got, have the pattern traced for the chair set..so cute..Suzanne dropped in and I showed her the set and she's thrilled, now to get my but in gear...so while cleaning I'm working on this thread's 'secret pal' gift AND on the 'red/white/blue' swap, trying to clean up so that will take most of the day..got lots of wood projects so have to clean my woodworking shop shelves so I have room for them...HOW did I get into such a mess..think I'll take the clock that Carol started to work tomorrow, it's a small piece and it would entertain me..other projects are much too big..
I'm laughing at myself, I'm in the craft room and t.v. is on, I'm in the family room and the t.v. is on..I go upstairs and the t.v. is on in the living room, go to the bedroom and t.v. is on...lordy, hydro must be cheap in this neck of the woods..lol and ALL are on different channels..animals are enjoying though..
Just dropped in as I passed the computer to say 'hi' must keep moving or I'll stop..thought I might get dressed at some point and go pick up a bag of cement so I can fix one project and install the garden tool mailbox..but that's a maybe..
betty, i forget to ask you what were you talking about stepping stones with left over glass???
What a tremendous amout of work it took doing that project Vicki, know because I carried the rocks around the pond..bet it will be spectacular when in bloom..do you have it all planted, are you going for the manicured look or country type garden? I just love random type gardens, little bit of everything...
Glad your weather is co-operating, nothing worse than working all week and it's gorgeous out and then have 2 days of and weather not the best...
Don't overdo today or you'll get that 'headache' back..
I'm going through every corner trying to find seeds, not getting far..lol.. except making a mega mess..
