Looks as though you enjoyed your vacation..already you have things organized for summer holidays..you sure are ahead of the game...look at Murphy..perhaps you'd better leave the sprinkler on and he'll be so busy playing in the water he'll forget about your flower beds...lol

Now are you back to work today or do you go back tomorrow..just glanced at the posts as I've a project to do and only 20 minutes left to do it..so trying to be quick..

Laura, feeling bad that you are not well..must be stress, let's hope the nightmares leave..hard to get benefits from night sleep when all you do is toss and turn...can't figure out what happens to my packages..each and every one (except one that got there in 2 weeks) take months..they ALL get there eventually but don't want you wearing summer blouses in winter time..you'd really catch a cold..that is the only outstanding package so will wait another week or so and then go see the P.O. to make inquiries, no reason it should have been stopped at customs...
feel so bad! Had hoped you would have them for your 4 day vacation...

Better get back to work as I'll not be in tomorrow..Darlene just called to tell me Mike was operated on today rather than tomorrow and so far everything went well..thank goodness...

Jeannine looks like you had a wonderful vacation! Your spring flowers look lovely too! I got a wonderful gift from my SP yesterday :0) It was wrapped in brown paper and when I took that off this is what I found.

Must go and locate my paper for blood work and tests..might even wash the car before I drop it off at dealership...OMG I was a bad girl..forgot that with my birthday this month that I needed to renew my vehicle plates, so I'm off to do that..another $75.00, but I've managed to keep my $100. that I spend on a treat each week and know exactly where it's going...buying a new serpentine jigsaw that you can add router bits to..I'm excited..will make my day...doesn't take much to do that some days...

So do enjoy what today will bring...I'll be back Cat to help blow out those candles....

betty, yep she has her cell :) lol so what are your plans for the weekend? so has the snow come down any? think sat were driving down the coast had cantelopes and honeydews for .49 and.69 a lbs and just to get out is always nice think i might sugest taking the dogs they would like a ride to and love to wander on the beach.

Hello Ladies - I didn't get to read any of the posts yesterday because most of my day was taken up with yet another funeral. A friend from a church I used to attend died earlier this week. Even though I hadn't seen he or his wife for many years, they are both really dear to me. It was good to see lots of old friends.

The day before yesterday I received another box in the mail. Yippie, such a great surprise awaited me. Inside of the box was a set of candle holders shaped like my favorite fruit, which is a pineapple and the other holder shaped like a pomegranate. The tea light candles that came along with the holders smelled like the mixture of pineapple and pomegranate, just delicious.

So........Thank you so very much Secret Pal. It was a really lovely gift and I just adore candles and candle holders.

It is coming up on the weekend. Everyone take good care and have a good one.

Good morning, y'all. Belated Happy Birthday, cat and best wishes for many more :)

Have another appt with my local bone breaker later this afternoon. My knee and hip are much better but I'd like to make darn sure I'm moderately healthy before this weekend. Hopefully, DH will have everything up and working in my seed starting area. I am getting very antsy as I am way behind my mental power curve on seed sowing. Not been in the cards this year. We have 3 dwarf apple trees to plant and picked up some iris, lilies and gloxemia bulbs from the local nursery last week. I'd like to get those in the ground this weekend. Plus 4 bales of straw that are going to be the bones of a cold frame for some of these seedlings.

I'm very distressed to discover that mistygardener has been removed from Daves. I was going to d-mail her with a question on planting some coleus seed and got a shock. I'm disgusted with the whole thing. sigh

The neighbors across the backyard are evidently adding to their 2nd story deck, which appears to be going to wrap around the back and look into our back yard. DH and I have decided it will be nice to have someone to wave at! LOL Politely for a change. I also wave at the neighbor across the road, but use "different" hand gestures......wink

That is so sad...I'm not understanding any of this and I thought they had the princess issues all straightened out..it was so nice of her to post the ofther day..yuks, almost makes you afraid to post anything incase it doesn't meet the guidelines and pooooffff off you go..I don't know what I'd do if they wouldn't let me post to all of you...I'd better be good, but then many of them thought they were...yuk..

Test went well, got out of the hospital at 9:30 and as my car was in for servicing I walked over to Canadian Tire and bought my new toy, met a 2nd cousin only to find out her hubby had passed on 1 yr. ago, both he and she were in different Toronto hospitals re cancer...brain tumour-both of them..imagine..they had operations within the week of each other, Richard died 2 days after her operation so the children had to look after funeral details so we talked for a good 1/2 hr. then my girlfriend Helen's husband saw me and came over and we gabbed to about 15 minutes..Helen (we call her Headache Helen) because they've tried just about everything and about 6 out of 7 days she's in bed, can't endure being up but nobody seems to be able to pinpoint the problem..this has been going on for over 6 years...I then called the car dealership & they picked me up...before leaving I went in to say hi to Larry, co-owner (friend of Greg's) and if my cousin Bob wasn't there purchasing a new worktruck so another few words..popped in to Fred Hooks where Greg is to see if he wanted to do lunch but he was just leaving for Collingwood but I did manage to scrounge a bunch of copper, might do my birdfeeder roofs...lol.. then though I'd stop a $$ Store as and lordy I'm hoping I can find it, saw on the internet dragonflies done with large spoons, glass wings and globs of glass for eyes so had to have a dozen spoons, you know me, I'd hate to have 5 minutes to myself..then just as I was leaving didn't I run into an old primary school girlfriend so there went another 1/2 hr. - had a wonderful visit..will drop in to visit her mom next time I'm in Penetang...

A quick run into Home Depot for wood and then went and gave my measurements for my new front door..as we speak they are cutting out the insert and putting the stained glass piece in..if Greg finishes on time he'll be picking it up so hopefully tomorrow morning DB Bernie can come and install it..but not before I go back into town to purchase the proper hardware for the handle..so there goes this weeks paycheck real fast..easy come - easy go..then had one final stop..post office..send a windchime to my girlfriend Liz in Belfast-Northern Ireland and 2 boxes of pepper (her request) lol and got my windchime sent to my 'secret pal' on the windchime exchange...so I certainly feel as though I've accomplished much..oh I also bought 2 more pkgs of seeds...can't pass the display without leaving with something...looked at bulbs as well but they didn't look too healthy

I'm off to light some candles, need to get mellow and then perhaps I'll take out my new tools and play with the aim being finishing the gazebo birdfeeders...

Carol, although it's very sunny here today IF you are in the sunshine it's nice but it is extremely cold..talking rain for Monday/Tuesday and that will take more away but can't see that it will be gone before last of April...

So off I go...

How is the organizing going? Trying to follow suit..bits and bites..I'll catch up..but it seems as soon as I catch up I dirty everything again..mess after mess, thank goodness I've the bottom floor of the house to play in...

Rachel, you get 5 router bits with it, a circle cutter, straight line precision adapter etc. so we'll see...last year for Christmas I got an entire box of router bits..sure hope they'll fit the same unit...

Betty- Let me know how you like it. I could sure use one if it works well :0) I will have to see if we have them down here. If not then guess I will have to drop into the Canadian Tire next time I am in Vancouver, BC visiting some of my friends! Rachel
