Yep Herbie must have been country is why I quit listening to her I knew it was one of those, her earlier records didn't sound like country, I don't care for country :)

Whats this about not liking COUNTRY?! I was country, when country wasnt cool! As a teen I would listen to all the 'cool' music when I was around my friends, but when I was alone....all country! lol! Now, all my friends listen to country and I listen to everything else! lol!

That country they had out when I was a kid was that crying and whining country just turned my stomach lol We used to have fish frys in the summer and OMG the singing of the country singers there would just send me to the stars, really turned me off of country and never have liked it since although they do have a few pretty ones today I still can't get into them.

Loved and still love the rock and roll, some of the alternative music, but not much of the new stuff. Probably Pink Floyd is still my favorite music of all time. (Led Zepplin is second)

It's not for everyone, and neither is rap or jazz. I like it but not all the time. I love a varied mix.

lol! I loved pink floyd! when I ws a teen, my friend and I painted her bedroom wall black and used neon pink to pain bricks on the wall! Now, as an adult... I feel sorry for the parents who had to repaint that wall later! lol! I cant imagine any primer on the market will cover black and non pink paint! lol!
I liked elvis when I was a kid, but later- my ex husband was really into elvis and would sing elvis songs ALL THE TIME! (really badly) and now, I just avoid that music all together! lol!

I didn't see anyone post they didn't like country - must have missed it. I like some country. I like all kinds of music. I listen to whatever I am in the mood for. Well, except Rap. I don't like rap. Oh yeah, I don't like Opera either. I like classical but I don't like opera.

no no, not kid rock... it was cowboy troy. I remembered as soon as I saw the kid rock above. lol! I only saw Cowboy Troy once, when he opened for Toby Keith a few years ago, he just had some funny songs - I cant stand rap !

I don't consider Kid Rock "rap", although that particular song, "Cowboy" is a little rappy. I like that song! (don't beat me with rulers!)

The Sunshine song sticks in my head too, but I have had Stevie Nicks "white wing dove" stuck in my head for 3 days. I am about to go batty.

Mary J. Blige's song 'Work That' has been stuck in my head. It's a little rappy, but I like it. It was used on a iPod commercial. It makes you want to dance. I also like Peter Frampton's talking guitar long version of 'Do You Feel Like I Do'.

ELO's *Hold on Tight to Your Dreams* has become my new mantra, ever since *I heard it again* on that car commercial. Love the intro, makes me smile every time. And reminds me to *hold on tight* through it all☺☺☺

A relief if it gets rid of stevie nicks. I like the song but enough is enough.

That song is a favorite of my brain. I did mention it before. DH starts singing "Oh...Sweetpea...come on and dance with me..."

We should start a new thread on the weird songs that are stuck in our heads. We could call it "What weird song is stuck today" or "How I became crazy".

Oh I like to start my day with that 'put on a happy face' song. I have the cd in my car and listen to that song just before I pull into work.

okay, I work next door to a daycare....the lil kids were going for a walk again today and walked by my office singing "john jacob jingleheimer schmidt....thats my name too...whenever I go out, the people always shout....john..... etc etc..."

so needless to say, THAT song was stuck in my head (and that one always hangs around for a long long time-sorry folks!) until I read this post, now its been replaced with King of the Road... which is better.... at least its not a preschool song! LOL!

there is a song title "cool woman in a black dress" its by the hollies. whenever that song is played i listen real goodand still i can only make out about 5 words.

but one of my favorites and one that i gave to my wife for one of our anniveries is "you're still the one" i forget the group that sang it but the lead singer is now a congressmen up here.
